There’s a panel line on the outer wing before the tip, we split the difference between that line and the tip. No mods to the ailerons aside from clipping them. 😊
Was Miss America not 4th or 5th in the gold race? He had a penality, and cut a pylon. It was all Saunders aircraft in 1st 2nd and 3rd in the final gold race!!
I really should buy this plane - the real one nearly killed me - I was in the stands that fateful day - right behind the VIP section when she hit the ground. RIP Jimmy and GG.
@@Thercgeek Chris, it was surreal. Having been around aircraft most of my life, I knew something was way off when, after Jimmy pulled up and off the course, the plane just kept going in the vertical. The flight path then was up and slightly behind the grandstand - I was watching him the whole time and thought - oh crap, he’s going to stall. Stall he did. The plane lazily flipped over and began heading right back down - at full throttle it seemed. The engine wound up and in a split second it was screaming. It was then that I knew I myself was in trouble and started to move to jump off the stands….well, as it turned out, the aircraft zoomed down much faster than I could even move, and hit the ground with a horrendous bang. I saw the entire thing unfold in barely a couple of seconds. When it hit the ground, right in the folding chairs on the tarmac of the VIP section, there was a small puff of dust and debris and the aircraft was gone. I mean as I watched, the biggest piece of it left seemed to me was the engine block skidding away across the taxi area. The plane, Jimmy and spectators at that spot were just gone. No fire, no fireball explosion… For a moment or two everything seemed silent. As my brain caught up processing what just happened, I moved to see if there was anyone I could help, and saw that the emergency responders ( who, thankfully, were mostly all parked a short distance away ) moved in very swiftly - I credit them and their swift response for likely saving more lives with the actions. I won’t go into describing the small scene of carnage I saw. Anyhow, at that point I moved back away so as not to be in the way, and the scene replayed in my head as I stood there. I realized that when the aircraft started back down toward the ground, it was attempting to “climb” under power - in this case, the climb translated into more of a lateral move relative to the ground and that’s why I am still here. Rest in Peace to all who died that day.
@@Thercgeek it can handle it, I don’t think the airframe can. I had it on an eflite v900 and tore the wings in two. This time around I’ll carbon rod reinforce the wing.

2814-1950kv Baddass motor, 6x4.5 apc, on 6 cell. Would it work?
I’m not familiar with that motor. Seems pretty high kv for a 6s setup.

Yeah, definitely will need reinforcement. It’s not designed to handle that kind of extreme speed, haha
