I'm not sure to be honest, but the car has a top speed of 245km/h and hence is not limited. Depending on how much kilometers you drive I would buy the 530d, it provides better fuel economy and has 6-cylinders (smoother ride). If you still go for the petrol engine, I would rather suggest the 530i (if you can get one) or the 535i.
In countries like Serbia, we pay insurance by the cubic capacity of the engine (displacement). Cars with 2000 cc cost les than 250 euros to insure Cars with 3000 cc cost 1100 euros to insure (register), 5 times more than those with 2000cc. That's why the 528i is way better for some then the 530d. For 850 euros of the insurance costs difference, you can by more than then 500 liters of fuel each year. I don't think the 530d can save so much fuel trough fuel economy, but it will drain 850 euros more every year, just to get license plates for the car. So this one is the best value for the money for sure...
Ivan Žunić Almost the same in Greece but here it is worse for 2000cc 1800-2000cc : 330 euro 2000-2300cc : 660 euro and 2300-3000cc : 880 euro plus our petrol is more expensive I think 1.6 euros / 1 litre
in which gear car reaches top speed - 6th gear? asuming in 8th gear it can easily cruise at about 4.5k rmps at 250kmh? powerful machine :) which one would you rather buy - 530d or 528i (taking math with ensurance etc.)?
@@jakubkaplar8506 alls i'm saying is...the n20 is known to suffer from catastrophic failure of its timing chain and on models 2015 and prior it is more common. Imo an engine that suffers from catastrophic failure cant be a great engine. The B48 however, is quite good.
N20 engine has a simple design. Strong enough. But there is some weakness like plastic oil pan and other plastic parts. Also it is too noisy engie. Turbo shuddering sound, high pressure fuel pump knocking, injection hissing, tumbling, shaking... I burnt out one of n20 :(
Yeah when I got my 12 528 I thought it had rod knock or something, sometimes when its cold the engine is rough, when I park it in the driveway and its cold outside its not happy and it vibrates a little, weird engine but no problems so far 62k mls later, the top end is very good, its great on gas, extremely cheaper to insure than my GT Mustang and it handles better than any sedan in its class. Great car.

1997cm3 with turbo
f10 serija ima motor od 2000cm3 i 245 konja
ranija generacija "petice" je imala 3.0 motor
Shit hole

N20b20 4cyl 2ltr turbo petrol. Still does 260. Great underrated engines. Just like the m54b30.
Amazing car and engine , thanks for video
Our pleasure!
engine can grenade itself. So no, not really a great engine.
@@bobaphat3676 I don't agree with you mate. I drives my BMW 528i with N20 and have no such a problem like this.

Ist das Auto mit 2 Liter Motor ausgestattet?
Moin, das Fahrzeug war der 4-Zylinder met 2 Liter Motor, das stimmt.
is that a 4cylender engine or 6??
4 cyl
Is this engine strong and reliable ????
sputnic yes very
sputnic it's turbo charged. So it will be reliable only up to a certain time.

It sounds like a tractor due to high pressure fuel injection, you may think its a diesel
