I like in this episode how there is a difference between "public Winter" and the "private Winter" we see here. You can tell that she does care very much for her sister but you definitely get even more of a sense of what kind of environment Weiss grew up in. You can definitely get the sense of the strictness that was enforced and that she's come to expect.
>Watch one episode of winter >Already assume that she lacks interpersonal skills. I mean damn if you recall how Weiss was in season 1 to how she now shows that not everyone is open slate in they introductions
Fun fact: When Winter told Weiss that her father would give her a job as a receptionist is a internal joke since Weiss voice actress was RT's receptionist before she took the job. Also, not really a spoiller, its more like getting all the info we got so far and putting it together, since its extremely hard to bring it all together and sometimes people gets confused with things that were already explained (i'd say it could be written better for people to not miss important stuff like this): Qrow mentioned Team Stark ( STRQ), and said that that was where he met their parents. Back in season 2 when Yang was talking with Blake in ep6, she said that her mom was in a team with Summer and Qrow. Also in episode 8 their dad send Zwei to be taken care of, and his name is said in the end : Taiyang. So we can assume so far that Team STRQ = Summer, Tai, R ( Yangs mom), Qrow.
@@Shino2912 True, but since her only speaking role in the season (and hence the only reason her name appears in the credits) was the after-credits scene that is no longer canon, how much weight can we put into that? ;)
Something a lot of people miss at this point, maybe due to all the other lore at this point; Winter is the elder sister yet Weiss is the Heiress of the Schnee Family.
@@nexis1293 (slams head off desk) No. Qrow is not Rubys Dad. Rumour has been denied by the show creators more times than any other theory. Qrow isnt Rubys Dad, Tai is.

I just have an appreciation for how good of a fighter Mercury is, I think if Emerald had just stayed in the trees for the rest of the match he could have probably taken both of them out on his own and Yatsuhashi and Coco are badasses.
Winter's approach to being a mentor figure to Weiss is just carrot and stick. Discipline her for her failings and then praise her for her accomplishments. Tell her to be better. Keep reinforcing her insecurities. Weiss doesn't _need_ another family member reminding her she's not good enough. She needs someone who believes in her. She needs to believe in herself.
Personally, I am almost certain Ruby's mom is dead. I know they never specifically said that, but I think that is what they meant when they said she one day never came back. For example, a soldier in the military during a war might not come back. It means they are dead. I think that is the type of meaning they were using. The reason I think that is because they have a grave. People don't typically make graves for people that go missing unless they have very good reason to believe they are dead. Last but not least, Ruby's theme song "Red Like Roses" is done in such a way that suggests Ruby's mom is dead. That song would lose a lot of it's power and meaning if she turned up alive.
I figured it was Monty decision for storytelling. Since Velvet was saving her OP semblance and with Fox being blind, he would be unaffected by Emerald’s semblance. ~ Sterling
Once you're caught up with the show, I reccomend the mobile game RWBY:Amity Arena. Since you guys are interested in analyzing the strategy of the team fights, it should be fun for you! (And you're 100% right, Coco and Yatsu are both slow heavy hitters)
Is the game fixed yet? I played it during the beta and on global release but dropped it because of how annoyingly broken and p2w it was. I made it to A8 and then just stopped. I haven't played in months.

Depends on how it works, for instance, if the shifter can only hold it for a few moments, or if they can't hold it while fighting, it could be nerfed to be equal to other semblances.
The one guy first left said what I've said all the time when people bit h and moan about Mer fury beating a couple second years yet Yang was able to beat him one on one. Coco and Yatsu are two fatassers with strategy consisting of little more than brute force. Whereas Mercury and Emerald are like putting a monk and a rogue in battle. It also makes since that Yang would actually be a challenge for him because her classification would also be a rogue but with tank elements. Remember. Just because you're a year ahead doesnt mean you're better. Otherwise I dont think team rwby or any other team would have made it past the qualifiers round. I'm surprised CVFY did considering two are fatasser classes, one is actually a dps berserker, and the last one is...well pretty much useless.

Did ya'll notice the condensation Ring around Summer Rose and the tear stains? Qrow has spent at least one night drinking and crying over Ruby's mom.
I noticed the ring, but not the tears!!! That does make a lot more sense, and now it just hurts more. Poor Qrow.
A King Taijitu is the double headed snake that you already saw in season 1.
Yeah I had shown them a picture right after those episode to jog memories.
I always loved the idea of having a poster that is just Qrow's team STRQ (stark) picture.

We saw Ren fight one when Pyrrha was explaining Aura to Juane, Also there was a picture of one and it's name on Professor Port's wall in class.
