The Maestro, Mr. Norman Brown. I still listen to this one daily!
I had to opportunity to play in stage band with Norman and he was passionate at that age about his music and his guitar. I'm very proud and happy for his success. He's deserving............HE'S AN AWESOME MUSICIAN!!!
+Minnesota Coco What was his talent? reading music or playing by ear?
+Traveling man both
Does it matter, if you can read music you can play by ear, I know I've played a bass bone and had no problems playing by ear
In this video he's killing it
lucky you
Who actually gave this video a thumbs down? He's spectacular.
Shocking innit
The Person who gave This Great Jazz Artist ( Norman Brown) Most Likely was Born in Yhe Rap Era & Will Strongly Debate you Thats When Music was Born ( LMMAO) All Music Genre is Great, Just Know History Before you Comment 😀🤔🤔 Remember you can Have a 8K TV But Don't Understand This Concert in Germany was Filmed Standard Recording Cameras, But Norman Brown is Along With Too Many Artists to Mention Like Earth Wind & Fire, Steely Dan, Chicago, War, George Clinton Michael Jackson, Prince, Al Jarreau, Confunkshon, Original Rappers & The List on , Yes I Never Comment But I Had To Chime in, God First The Family & Music has Been Around To The Beginning of Man Cave.
And to play clean no distortion or overdrive that's not easy
This is hardcore R&B/Funk/Smooth Jazz at its finest.
He can also cross over into hip hop, he's just that Great
Whoever gave this a thumbs down us just a hater.
Makes no sense!
I watch this every day!
Just Between Us (27:25) takes me back like no other sound. So many memories of my family. Good times indeed.

Yep Yep it's all that
He broke a string at the start of their first song, im amazed how he took it so well and managed it as if nothing even happened. A legend for sure.

God given talent.
Just Between Us! All time favourite! Yes Norman play!
my favorite too,in fact is the only song i know about him and it blew my mind
Ladies & Gentleman, Norman *Guitar Superstar* Brown!!
This was Norman at the Top of his Musical Game, such a Ramarkable Talent, he Sings n Scats Great as well!!
I have been playing strings instruments since I was a 6 year-old, I learn how to know musical notes with my precious grandmom Jahyra, that was an amazing pianist, then at the age of 9 th-year-old I learned cavaquinho (brasilian 4 strings instrument that we paly samba and choros, and for so long I played and participated in Festival in SOuthern Brazil. Well, when I was a tennager I played both cavaquinho and accoustic guitar when I learned Bossa, Classical samba and some pop rock and blues! At the age of 24 I learned with the help and understanding of my master Holy Spirit ( I am a christian) and I descover the groove, soul and rhythms playing the Bass guitar, at this moment of my life I was playing and teaching many people as a musician and instrumental lessons teacher. But my father, my greatest motivator and best friend-coach told me that I would find the instrument of my life, the one that I was looking for all my life! Someday and somehow when I was visiting my father in Northeast Brazil, in Sao Luis city, my dad told me to listen some jazzy cds of his colections... Than I took myself into those instrumental songs and I simply had the an amazing moment in my life, I was listened and travelling deeply in certain way while I was listened to those songs of George Benson and Diana Krall.
I remember that I`ve been always a fan of Jazz and this kind of style, but I could never imagine that this is my style and my mood! Since I was a little boy I used to listen to George Benson`s, Anita Baker`s, Duke Wellington, Ray Konnif, Burt Bacharach, Ivan Lins, Steven Wonder, Diana Warrick, Ray Charles and other bands of groove, soul and Bossa! I can`t forget that I have my favourite rock guitarist ever, Peter Frampton, dispite he plays in another style and sounds, but he himself told that he loves to play various rhythms mixing the classical rock! Later I responded surely and joyfully to my father that I finaly met the instrument of my life, the Jazz guitar that sounds softly and incredablely harmonicaly in terms of chords and solos! Wow, I didn`t waste my time and bought my wonderful Semi accoustic Jazz Ibanez! Now I have been studying and descovering more colorful chords, notes, sequences 2 5 1, 2 5 and the wonderful Jazzy scales in between these classes I have already composed my first instrumental songs in Smooth and Bossa Jazz styles! Hearing these virtuous guitarist like George Bensos, Norman Brown, Pat Matthny, Leo Amuedo and others I understand that I have a lot to learn with them and their beautiful picking and comping!
Seen him more times than i can count tbh. Consider myself extremely lucky: still my favorite artist to listen to when I light up a cigar and unwind at the end of the night. Hell of a nice guy to boot
I used to jam to Norman Browns music all the time...watching this makes me want to pull out my vintage Ludwig drum kit and start jammin again...

AMAZING!
Soy fan de George Bennson. Visito México .en un concierto.en el teatro Metropolitano. CD de México.. pero me sorprende . Este grupo de smoot jazz.
Amazing! with a broken string!!!!
This may be unpopular statement. I have 4 of Wes Montgomery's albums and I think 6 of George Bensons - love them both. I have all of Norman Brown's albums. While I am sure Norman (as well as countless other guitarists) would confirm that Wes and Benson were incredible influences on his playing and development. I do disagree with those who compare him with either. Norman Brown is definitely uniquely Norman Brown. He has his own fantastic style and, frankly, I think he's a better composer and is more melodic than either Wes or Benson. Plus Norman has chops to spare. When I jump in my car in January when it snows, Norman is the only musician that can make me feel like I'm driving along a sun-drenched ocean coast without a care in the world. Wes and Benson were pure geniuses who will be remembered 200 years from now. But so is Norman - in his own right. I don't find him to be an analogue of either Wes or Benson.
Norman took things from those who inspired him & put them together & created his own sound! I prefer him over G. Benson alot smooth in my opinion. When it comes to G Benson I prefer his singing vs his guiar playing.
MS G Ur good with that statement.
Much appreciated statement Stormin Norman is amazing!!
I totally agree with you.
I am a huge fan of Norman, George and Wes. IMHO, can we agree that all of the 3 have each made their marks. Melody in ❤ of Music 🎶
