I'm glad you are honest about the amount of time it can take to feel comfortable or even "master" some of these techniques. one step at a time and be kind to yourself is what one guitar teacher was fond of saying.

Not only do I obviously benefit personally from these vids but I always forward them to my students and we will meticulously analyze your discussion and topics together. You're making a huge difference in our musical lives and I hope you know we are grateful! Cheers from Missouri!

When practicing the scale in a specific position, should one skip lower or higher notes on the top and bottom strings to start and end the scale on the root note or you should just play every note of the shape since they all exist within the key, my previous teacher told me to always start and end on the root and sing along to familiarize myself with the tonality but in doing so certain notes are skipped and the full shape isn't burned into muscle memory . What would you advice?... Your videos are very well made and the content is very good and informative btw. 🔥

ive been doin these type of things for a while since its what we used to do in band (i moved from trumpet to guitar) so yeah its helping me learn the fretboard a lot. would love if you did something like this for melodic/harmonic minor because thats where i think it really gets hard to even start

”Classical guitar players practice scales like this”
    Oh do we now 😂
Okay maybe I have done something like that but honestly I just play my scales like any other guitarist.
