- British artist Charlie Evans, well-known for his long-running TV series and art classes, first discovered his love for art during an early career in catering. Soon after, he was commissioned by the National Coal Board to paint pictures for their boardrooms. After also attending Lincoln Art College, Charles relocated to Northumberland where his art career continued to develop. His exuberant and informal personality is now reflected in his paintings, with the lightness and simplicity other artists aspire to.

You do make me believe I could do this! I love how simple you make everything seem but unfortunately I seem to paint tight and never quite get the results I'm looking for but I'll keep going. I have your pocket book and the acrylic one and recommend them both highly. Thank you for the tutorials which do inspire me to keep trying as I expect they do for others as well.

Great! No bull***t....just down to earth Northern straight talking! No need for expensive paints, brushes and paper - even the pencil for the drawing is easy to come by. But you make it look easy - us mere mortals can only hope to be a fraction as good as you are. Thank you, sir!
