  • Turn Racing's BP2, paired with the R320, is a fun combo! Turn Racing is a Minnesota-based grassroots manufacturer that has developed before our eyes, becoming a real 'for sim racers, by sim racers' brand. Their products are made more interesting just by virtue of that goodwill.

We're glad you're a fan of our products and what we do Danny - we also appreciate the honesty and feedback! Some areas on the BP2 have been improved over the months and years but we're at the stage where they will be fully resolved with a "BP3". 👀
Big props to your efforts and your ever-growing channel. Keep up the great work! 👏

Pulled the trigger on this after your review here and I can echo everything you said here. It's a fantastic button plate for the money. I do wish the shifters had stronger magnets and larger paddles though. I feel the wiggle you talked about, and I fixed that by just using a single layer of electrical tape on the edges of where the shifters sit. It closes the gap enough to give it a little more rigidity.

I have the R305 I swap out with my Moza CS round wheel. Definitely a nice way to cut weight especially if you are on a lower NM wheel. Going to be buying that Button Plate soon. Looks like it has enough GT3 inputs for me to be happy with. If I had to buy again I’d go R320 instead

Turn Racing peripherals are likely something I will never buy, but I see and feel the appeal.
They look understated yet incredibly sexy and evoke the sense of premium bespoke Hi-Fi equipment from the late ‘70s up to the early ‘90s.
I applaud them from enriching the sim racing peripheral market.
Some people still by vinyl for a good reason as well. ;)

I like Turn Racing but that 320mm rim is quite possibly the worst feeling rim I’ve ever held in my hands. It’s ergonomically awkward. It feels like I’m holding an airplane yolk. I’m not sure if it’s because of the thumb positioning or the anemic grip circumference. It’s just not right.

Nobody can argue with your own experiences! Your description of the R320 is making me think maybe I'm actually suited to flight sims, though...

Tell me you’ve never actually used a R320 without telling me you’ve actually never used an R320.

This button plate is over priced

Button plates do just seem to cost a lot in general, not sure why but it's gotta be something to do with volume. They're a niche item for sure.

Price gouging at its finest. Its just plastic. Not made of antimatter.
oh and I just saw the cable connection 😂😂😂

Yeah, I agree with you, but the problem is that everything produced in mid to high end sim racing are done so in incredibly low production runs - most manufacturers might sell five hundred to a thousand units over the lifetime of the product if they're lucky. This means that economies of scale do not apply, hence the products are way more expensive than what you would expect given the construction of the unit.
It's crap, but if these low yield sim racing manufacturers are to survive then it is what it is.

Never owned anything by Turn, but I don't understand your comment about plastic. Neither an I a materials engineer, but one type of plastic obviously is completely different from another and.I am sure superior or metal for certain tasks.

It's not really about the materials but the effort put into the product. It's just 1 guy doing nearly everything in the company.
