Oh my goodness!!! The drill brushes! Genious! I used these for cleaning tile in our bathroom haha, but have always used a brass handbrush to clean my trays. You just saved me so much time (and wrist pain). Thank you sir!
On another note...I currently run everything on two older shapeoko 3's. Really would love to upgrade to a OneFinity in the next year for one of the machines, but the cost to add pwn spindle really pushes that budget. Would love to see them come up with a bit changer that works out of the box as well. Having the spindle and bit changer in a kit that was less than 10k (including the machine would be a tough one to pass up when shopping this tier of machine.
I see on the Redline CNC website that water cooled units are coming soon...I have also noticed the company has no physical address listed nor a phone number only an email address....hmmm...
Well, once I make money from my CNC, I want to get that spindle. Somehow, im still on the original makita router (back in 2022), but I think it's on its last legs:( Bit slipped for the first time last night, and I've never seen the makita light up like that 😂. Luckily, the bit and router are fine, but it was very loud. Great video. Hope to see more about the spindle in the future
@@nck33867 I make money on my shapeoko, and I burn through routers every few months. I’m not very maintenance oriented on the trim routers because they are just factored as a $100 consumable. So switching to a spindle will require a rethink in my operations.
I have the PWN 1.5kw 110v on my 1F and love it. I see you have one sitting on the bench while you talk about the new 1F spindle kit. In your honest opinion have you noticed any differences between the 2 of them worth noting?
My PWNCNC Spindle (Which I've been using on my onefinity for the last year in every single video featuring a onefinity machine) has been great for the most part. But its very different than the new spindle I have from Redline CNC. The PWN is a 2.2kw watercooled. All of that being said, I've noticed less difference between the two than I would have first thought. Both power and noise. But time will tell as I use it more!
I have ordered the elite woodworker with the 2.2kw spindle for delivery to UK. I have asked Onefinity if it will all work on 240v but they have not replied to my question. As you have the vid in your shop does it have240 volt option?
Thanks for the information on the new spindle. I have been dealing with EMI issues with my PwnCnc 1.5 kw spindle and finally after many forms of shielding, it seems to fix that issue. Question is, is it worth it to swap to this new “shield” and safety certificated spindle from the PwnCnc unit?
Eh I'm a big fan of not spending more money if you don't have to. If you've got it working reliably now I'd say to just keep rolling with what you have!
For your next video running the two spindles, would you take some temperature readings of the spindle? Curious if there is a large delta between the two in simple tool paths that are longer run times. Great stuff as always.
I know you said you noticed no difference in power with the lower power spindle. What about sound? That was the main reason I was considering going big 🤔
Thank you for the review…. I was reading the specs and while the spindle is 110 it says the spindle 220 for the 80mm 110. Mistakes can be made. With that said is both the spindle and VFD 110 for those of us who cannot easly get 220v into our shops? Thank you and have a Happy Thanksgiving
I have the PWN 110 Spindle and it's a BEAST! I have done very deep cuts to clear out material and it's never stalled. I have the luxury in the Onefinity to adjust the speed of both the spindle and CNC on the fly. I used a router for many years with my old CNC and I will never go back. Money will spent.
Why wait till the 29th to compare the Altmill versus the Onefinity Elite since this Black friday sale that Onefinity won't extend till the 29th (as their webiste states) people would benfit from your insights in which nachine to buy and take advantage of the Onefinty bundle sale they are offering today and tomorrow.
@OnefinityCNC Hey, that's great; now if Inefinity could post a link directly to the bundle sale cause it's almost impossible to find on their site. Maybe? Thanks in advance.
Air cooled 1.5kw spindle. Not a great choice and all that safety mumbo jumbo. Chinese made for sure, and you can buy a Chinese 2.2kw properly water cooled 80mm spindle with ceramic bearings for less without the marketing nonsense, better performance. This vid is an advert for rebrwnded marked-up Chinese spindles.
I don't know too much about whats going on with all of that. But I didn't even notice that until you said something. I'm still affiliated with PWNCNC and you can still use code HAMILTON for a discount on their spindles!
Can someone please explain the “Safety Certified” without all the marketing talk. They just say company marketing language and it just comes across as nothing of real value except for the company to use to whitewash into thinking they are better than someone else. I feel a little disappointed at Onefinity for there choice of spindle companies. I am sure there is a lot not being said on why the chose who they chose. But it seems like a huge snub to a company that has helped them increased their own sales. Time will tell I guess.
Of course its always about money. Yet, thats not necessarily a bad thing tho. You make more money by providing the best service/product for the best value. I own a biz, and have intentionally lost money knowing it was better for the biz in the long run (future profits). I just bought another Elite Foreman with the redline (I couldn't resist the Black Friday ATC deal ), Ill be able to compare it with the PwnCNC one I have now. They are similar, besides my Pwn spindle is water cooled.
Yeah this should be edited . You really shouldn’t be promoting misinformation . Unless you can back up the claims of “ The only cerified” and all the safety parroting you really should state that you don’t know or leave it out of your video . From my research , and the research of others the whole safety certified is not true .

They do a great job! Just wish I could find one with a little bit stiffer bristles!
I was literally looking JUST 2 days ago to buy a a new CNC from OneFinity (to replace my Shapeoko 4 Pro), but they had no spindle. So this is AWESOME!
Nice! I think its pretty great too!
It's about time!! In Onefinity we trust
Great intro video Hamilton.
Don't mind me - Just sitting here with my popcorn waiting for next week!
It'll be worth it!
Awesome. Looking forward to the VS video
Its gonna be awesome!
Hamilton a bigger tease than an of mode with the altmill vs onefinity video.
Can't wait! 🍻
It's worth the wait!!

My Makita carried on for a long time! Lots to show off about the spindle next week!

What does safety certified mean? I see it in the Facebook group and nobody has an answer.
I don't have an answer for you either, other than whats on the website and what Ive seen direct from onefinity!
@@HamiltonDilbeckQuite disingenuous pushing it as a unique advantage then :(
Is the 65mm spindle still a huge upgrade from the makita? I batch products out but they aren't complicated and i do no crazy 3d carves.
For your next video running the two spindles, would you take some temperature readings of the spindle? Curious if there is a large delta between the two in simple tool paths that are longer run times. Great stuff as always.
I don't think I'll have time to get that into next weeks video (Its been quite the bear) but next time I'm running them at the same time I'll measure!
I know you said you noticed no difference in power with the lower power spindle. What about sound? That was the main reason I was considering going big 🤔
Can the spindle cut Aluminum and steel? If so, the Ghostgunner may have some competition for my needs.
Aluminum yes, not steel
