I learned more in the first 32 seconds of this video than I did by reading the Microsoft Doc. The rest of the video was icing on the cake. Thanks!!!

Excellent! Note to self: consult Contextures first.

Hi this maybe slightly out of topic, but why is getpivotdata with text and amount, the $ and comma disappears in Chart Title. Thanks

You missed one important solution that may work better for some. In fact, none of the suggestions here worked for me because my getpivot was referencing sums in the pivot table for each date available (in the pivot table). For this I needed to reference the actual cell in the pivot table. To do that you can restate the date field as text...in the above case that would be using a cell reference in the getpivot of =text(b4,"dd/mmm/yy").

Thanks for explaining! I tried to figure out if it is possible to use OR in the field reference, but without succes. If anybody has a thought. EG date is 1/1 OR 1/15 in one formulae

Thank you for the video. Very helpful. I tried to do pull Chicago instead of its number but didn't work. I guess the getpivotdata works towards the right column side only. Am i correct?

    Hi Debra,
Thanks a ton for the video.
I have a question, I dont understand the need of Getpivotdata function. I usually turn it off and then use it, this works well.
Can you explain why is getpivot data requird?
    Regards,
    Pradip.
