Okay, few suggestions, Blow dry warm heat, curl on high heat for thick hair . To maintain the curls. Put your hair up with a satin scrunchie in a bonnet . Ref to the GlamTwinz wand curl video. They have longer thick hair. They have good pointers to maintain your wand curls.
I was scared of turning up the heat too high but yes I think that would’ve gotten me longer lasting results 😢 I’m gonna see how my hair bounces back after this and probably do that next time. Girl your hair is gorgeous. I have a lot of hair like you and people always think I have on a wig cause it’s so dense. I would love to see you with a half up style with the curls. I will say when it comes to weather for this type of hair my state of Wisconsin is the best. We get all the seasons and ain’t all humid.

How long does this last
It looks beautiful! Maybe I don't know what to look for, but I don't think it looks fake at all. I've never worn wand curls so I'm not certain how they are best preserved at night, but I would put them up in a scrunchie so that I wasn't sleeping on my hair.

I learned from Naptural85 wand curl video check it out if you choose to revisit this style. Your hair really can do no wrong though lol. You probably needed a better wand like the Hot Tools one.
I can’t stand styling blown out hair, it always puffs out. I prefer wet styling 💯 But it was cute.

Do you have family in CT?... Reason I asked is because I saw you at Bradley over the summer. I was arriving home and didn't recognize you until after I had already passed by (and you were eating and didn't want to bother you). At the time I was thinking maybe you had a layover...CT isn't a typical destination, unless you're visiting family. Curls came out nice, too bad they didn't last!

In MY humble opinion, I think the curls would have had more staying power if you had used a curling iron. 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
The wand curling iron “is” a curling iron though & you get the same result using the traditional curling iron. The wand is the curling iron without the hair clamp.
@@4GoodandEvil That is EXACTLY my point!! If you have a hard time figuring out how to get great curls with a curling iron, you can just wrap your hair around the iron like you do with a wand. You do NOT have to buy another hair tool!
I know I may be showing my age, but I don't get the point of curling wands. I mean, there are curling IRONS! Why do you need a wand? I think it's just ANOTHER way to get us to spend MORE money! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Wand curls do last with the right tips. She's on the right path. Wand curls are a little different curl pattern than curling with curling irons.
Lmao I hadn’t used either prior to this so I don’t know much about them but I do think I prefer the shape of curls with the wand curls more than the curling iron
