Lyrics - BILOXI - Love Prevails (Goodbye Love) - 1989 Could you spare just a moment for me We talked, but it gets us nowhere Light sparkles in your eyes as you say to me, “Let me breathe a little bit of air” In these times of anguish, love prevails your heartbeat seems so distant, so far away. We thought we had it all, but we gave it all away Oh, goodbye love... Hand in hand we were caught with our guards down And if only we could bring it back somehow Hearts grow stronger one thousand times more When you care enough to only love just one In these times of anguish, love prevails your heartbeat seems so distant, so far away. We thought we had it all, but we gave it all away Oh, goodbye love... In these times of anguish, love prevails Our love song is over and I'm really sad to say Oh, Goodbye Love... AND In these times of anguish, love prevails your heartbeat seems so distant, so far away. We thought we had it all, but we gave it all away goodbye love...
Thats so sweet to hear. What i would have given to have stayed in Biloxi but i lost my home in katrina storm. He reached out and made sure i was ok. I was a drumming and keys mostly back in my days...But after he passed my son had picked up guitar and i know he would be proud that i did too later. Writing music is something i wish i had followed more while hanging out with him. He was always busy. I tried not to bother him ..I met brad of 3 doors down while he recorded their first demo kryptonite. I was there. Even helped with the mics. Mixing was something i wish i would have paid attention. Again he was starting to play casinos alot around the time katrina came. I told him in 06 i loved and missed him and i would be back once things settled. But that never came. He passed in 07. Thank you so much for honoring him. He and i look alot alike. Even more him and my brother. @AORTime
Beautiful song and vocals ., transparent production, awesome guitarwork & solo … your uncle Clyde was a very talented and remarkable man .. I just read the background story . You picking up the guitar would have made him proud , music connects forever , thanx for sharing and keeping his legacy alive 🙏✨
Fun facts from one of the original band members: - This was recorded in 1989 by the original Biloxi lineup. Clyde Holly (Lead Vocals & guitar), Jim Toucey (Keys and backing vocals), Levell Price (Bass & backing vocals), Tony Radford (Drums). - Clyde Holly played rhythm guitar on this song. - Our buddy, Jerry Campos, played the guitar solo on this song. - Clyde owned many, many Hamer guitars at the time. - Bass player, Levell Price, went on to later play with The Eric Sardinas Band. - This song is actually just called "Goodbye Love". I think this got flubbed when the Japanese record label released this old demo as an actual Biloxi album and just guessed at the song titles. - This is a 48-track recording done at Chameleon Studios in San Fernando. (2) 24-track, 2-inch decks synched together. Yes, this was just a demo. - John Fogerty was recording in the studio next door to us for several months. I fixed one of John's tube amps while we were recording there. - Sheena Easton was auditioning band members for her "Lover in Me" tour in the rehearsal room next door. I ended up running sound for her rehearsals after the Biloxi recording was done. - We had The Cars live audio engineer, Chuck Fetyko, mixing and co-producing. - Drummer, Tony Radford, was using the new Paiste 3000 cymbals at the time. - Jim Toucey was using all Korg Keyboards at the time. Cheers! - Jim Toucey (Gwim20)
Great Sound by this Band. They brought something unique to the AOR mix. I love the AOR Bands Strangeways, Boulevard, FM UK, Icon and Dare. Biloxi sounds different from them and bring something unique to the AOR scene in the melodic aesthetic.
The kind of music I ADORE among all kind of rock styles from classic to hair metal, trash even death but...this touch my heart. Thanks Biloxi for this wonder and AORTime for sharing,,

They both seemed to play from the heart
This song brings me to tears and that says a lot cause I’m not an emotional type of person
