I hope, and expect, Milei's policies will be a resounding success, so that maybe, just maybe, politicians in the UK and elsewhere finally understand that they are the problem and need to get out the way as much as possible.
Well, after a year, they are already a resounding success. Foreign debt is down, currency is up, Argentinian international markets are up, consumption is up again, inflation is at its lowest in the last 5 years, poverty is down 15 points, credit is available again to any citizen, and soon the government is going to be able to dollarize the economy. And all of this was achieved mainly through having a responsible fiscal policy. The issue is that the previous administrations destroyed the economy so badly and indebted us so bad, that it's going to take many years for us to become somewhat similar to a first world economy.

If he was really wanting the Falklands he should go for it right now: the British government would fold like a deckchair on the Titanic. However, I suspect he's not so keen, as he'll be thinking about the potential costs of compensating the islanders and stationing military there.
The interviewer did a huge disservice to Mr Milei and the audience by inserting a falsehood into her opening question: Labour’s overwhelming majority was not due to a lack of public services investment, perceived or otherwise. Their win was due to a confluence of factors, none of which amounted to a genuine popular shift to Labour. They essentially won by default as a result of the idiosyncrasies of the UK’s voting system.
When UK returns Las Malvinas to Argentina, we will be best friends. Nevertheless, I think that now is impossible. What a pity. It is not hate, but a reality.
The situation with Malvinas is simple. The people who lives there can choose whatever they want to be but the territory is 100% argentinian. The argentinian government has every right to keep their soverignty claim. It's has nothing to with the people occupying the island or Great Britain as a nation. It's just a fair cause.
Problem is the Conservatives were split, too keen to take down each other, look at how long Boris or Liz Truss lasted- certainly didnt inspire confidence.

Argentina, back in the day, was a model state and an inspiration. Ironically, it was Britain who unintentionally pulled the rug from under them. They had good reason to be wary of us. Now, I doubt anyone takes the UK seriously on any topic.
This man should be listened to, he is showing the world a potential way out of the mess. Successfully so far. Time will tell. Who else is going to show us anything fresh? The US? Now they are something you can't take seriously. Their best days are receding rapidly in the rear-view mirror. Good riddance. Let's hope we get someone like the Argentine President and overturn a century of humiliation.

Yes, the state is the problem.
Tell that to Trump. Trump's tariffs distort the free market and are basically taxes.
@awiseguydrinkingtea9735 The free market was never a level playing field. Western economies have a duty of care for its workers, regarding healthcare, welfare and environmental factors. Middle and far eastern countries, along with South America, were chosen for its cheap labour as its ruling class has total disregard for the standards that Western economies have to adhere to.

@@michelleduvois2755 I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say you don't understand UK politics. But Labour didn't get in with an overwhelming majority. Infact 20% of the entire country.

People and society have to understand that, and vote other things
I believe your hopes will become reality.

There is no possibility that Argentina will go to war with England, the Argentine people do not want war, it must be understood that the war occurred because the military dictatorship in 1981 placed the military man Videla as president to prepare the transition to democracy, Videla and the army did not want to be just a transition, they wanted to remain in power but had no economic achievements to show for which they decided to start a war, as they lost in 1983 they called elections and democracy returned until today

If he was really wanting the Falklands he should go for it right now: the British government would fold like a deckchair on the Titanic. However, I suspect he's not so keen, as he'll be thinking about the potential costs of compensating the islanders and stationing military there.
The full length version of Kate's interview is outstanding. A great interview of an exceptional leader.
people from Malvinas can remain British by moving back to Britain.
If history is anything to go by Argentina is probably a good spot to leg it from Starmer and his goons?
Absolutely pal, come here it's vacation season. Enjoy our beaches and our arcades, and feel welcomed by our hardworking people.

The situation with Malvinas is simple. The people who lives there can choose whatever they want to be but the territory is 100% argentinian. The argentinian government has every right to keep their soverignty claim. It's has nothing to with the people occupying the island or Great Britain as a nation. It's just a fair cause.
Because the conservatives were so bad, and they were not even conservative, so what was the point?
