Aqui no Brasil nossos políticos falam inglês. Só o que sabem é falar inglês. Lo más no saben nada.
I’m going to try to explain the perspective of Argentina about the self-determination of the islanders since the president couldn’t explain it probably to not cause a diplomatic conflict. Argentina got her independence on 1816 and took possession of all the former territories of the “virreinato del río de la plata” this territories included the Malvinas islands. On 1832 the British invaded the islands and expelled the Argentinian authorities and the population and overt the course of the nexts years replaced them with British settlers. So the population of the islands are descendent of those settlers and it’s logical that they want to be British, because they are not the original population. Imagine if tomorrow someone invade London and expelled all the population and replaced with they own, London is still a part of the uk even if the new inhabitants don’t agreed with this. This is the reason why, for Argentinians don’t agreed in this case with the self-determination of the islanders, because they are not the original settlers.
Thanks for the explanation.97% of Modern day Argentines are descendants of European settlers, so they do not count as the original settlers of their own land.
Yes unfortunately after a certain amount of time you can’t change that. It’s the same thing with Israel, you can argue from either perspective. You could also talk about the uk and the ridiculous amount of people that have come here legally and illegally, no one can remove millions of people even if they shouldn’t be here. Argentinas claim is pretty weak
@@Benboy1980 But Argentina doesn't want to remove the people of the Malvinas, if they islands were given back the local population would simply become Argentine citizens and their lives would go on as normal. And Argentina's clam isn't weak at all. Its is backed by countless historical records and by international law. There's a reason why the UN recognizes the existance of a dispute and why the whole world votes every year to urge the UK to sit at the negotiating table. If the claims' basis was weak it wouldn't have been taken seriously at all. Even the UK was in the process of returning the islands when the war broke out, so they used to recognize the validity of those claims too.
This is one of the best interviews I've seen done to Milei. She asked some thorny questions but in a very polite manner. You could see Milei was very comfortable.
Argentina is such a beautiful country with beautiful, hardworking people. They deserve a high quality president as Milei and I pray God continues to grant him wisdom to govern the country.
Until just one year ago, I thought that the kelpers would never in a million years want to be in any way related to us. Now it doesn't seem so far-fetched to consider there might be some partnership between us. I don't think we'll get the islands back, though.

I guess so, unless technology provides us with perfect models to implement based on the preferences and needs of each state in any country, although it would have to be a dynamic change. In any case, it’s already proven that increasing the state and distributing social welfare programs ends in socio-economic and cultural decline.
@@claireanderson3356 Hola, soy Argentina.
@@dariiofernando The problem with information in a planned economy is not that we don't have the computational power to do it, but that it's impossible to do it because of the nature of the information. Scarcity is real; you need to be productive to have things and you need to trade in order to take advantage of the benefits of division of labor. For this to happen, you need prices. And to have prices, you need private property. This means prices are the result of constant negotiation between buyers and sellers. Any unforeseeable event may cause changes in prices, and remember, only the owner knows what something is worth, and only when they try to sell it and can assess what buyers are willing to pay. So, the information you need to process is very localized, constantly changing and requires specialized knowledge about one's own field of work. In addition to considering all those factors, one also needs to take into account the time dimension. Therefore, these problems become even more impossible. Technology would need to evolve to be omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent... basically god-like. It can't be done.
I'm from Latin America and I got to know about Milei through viral videos of him on Argentinian TV shows where the hosts mocked him and disregarded him as a crazy person. Yes, in those videos he was much (MUCH) more fiery, shouting and fighting back with nails and teeth, but it was due to the sheer amount of fallacies those TV shows were giving the public. Sickening level of manipulation through media. While Milei's speech was much rougher in those days, his essence remained the same as what you see here. I wish my country, Chile, had a courageous, brilliant and truly nation-loving, citizen serving leader like him... we are currently governed by a herd of morons and thieves from the hardest radical left (woke+communist leaders [when I say 'communist' I mean from the actual Communist Party of Chile]) and the country is in rapid decline in terms of security, economy, education, healthcare, housing, of course immigration, etc. I pray that our country gets a leader like Milei, though I don't see anybody right now. Milei is Argentina's way out of the dark path they've been on. Hope him the best, because his success and Argentina's revival via classic Liberal ideas could ignite my region into a more promising path... most of region's population is now governed by left or radical left governments: Lula's Brazil, Chile's Boric, Colombia's Petro, Mexico's Sheinbaum, Bolivia's Arce, Uruguay's recent Orsi, Cuba's Díaz-Canel and of course the Lord of imbeciles, the narco-dictator who has ruined the Latam region with millions of exported refugees and delinquents, Nicolas Maduro). It is not only Argentina watching and hoping on Milei to be successful, but much of Latin America as well.
Saludos.
Best wishes to Chile! My knowledge of Chile is limited, but I once watched a documentary called (in English) The Battle of Chile, by communist documentarian Patricio Guzman. It was remarkably good because Guzman was too deluded to recognize what he was documenting, which was the attempted communist destruction of your nation. Throughout the documentary he shows Allende's supporters saying incredibly stupid things and advocating incredibly stupid policies, then blaming entrepreneurs or the CIA when the policies Allende enacted came to their logical conclusions. One thing from that documentary that struck me (besides the fact that Pinochet saved Chile from disaster and almost certainly saved hundreds of thousands or more from communist-induced starvation) was that Chile seemed about equally divided between those who understand how economics work and those who are precisely wrong about economics, with the remaining balance that doesn't understand but can be swayed by rhetoric being enough to tip elections one way or the other. Pinochet was courageous and loved his nation, but he was not the economist and educator that Chile needed. That is not to attack Pinochet - it is incredibly rare that all these qualities should co-exist in the same person - but I hope you keep in mind that that works both ways. An economist and educator does not necessarily have to be involved in politics. Perhaps you can encourage someone you know who has the right skills to take on those roles, or perhaps it could even be yourself. What I have seen is that Chile has many good people who understand the basics, but there just need to be more of you. Someone needs to teach the masses how the economy actually works. Suerte!
Terrific. It's clear that Argentina chose the right man for the job.

Argentina is set to be the fastest growing country for the next 15 years. With a growing gdp rate of 5% annually. Milei's economic marvelous

🦁VIVA LA LIBERTAD CARAJO!!🦁
Don't worry, this is actually what is happening in the UK atm aswell, with all the mohammed
@@srir.5282 good point.
If he manages to get Argentina turned around - a Nobel Price in Economics is in order IMO.
They won't give him one. He went to the WEF and told all in attendance to go eff themselves. If anything, a Nobel prize would tarnish his legacy.
34 years old Argentine man here. The best vote I ever put in the electoral box! true!! cry about it socialists.
It's exactly what I voted for...Hugs!

And so seriously cutting bureaucracy and top heavy government is the way to go?
Great interviewer. Respected the interviewee without stop of being rigurous.
Awesome Milei!
Kaiser o Kast
Suerte!
