There's a video on Nabalis instagram where they say that the Zen pins will more evenly distribute the force that is applied when the Zen cups hit the pins which would extend the life span of the handle gap, that's why they went with zens rather than pinsless. I like the idea of it, just looks super slippery

I'm a beginner barely a month in, I have both and I'd say Canyon all the way if you have to choose. It's easier to learn the basics on the canyon imo. Also the extrusion is very slippery and a lot less durable than the canyon, so having something with less parts that you know wont break or fail you is great.
That being said I do think the purple extrusion is a good public flipper, yes it looks like a knife but a toy knife and also sounds like lego, a lot less menacing than a regular trainer.
So the choice for me is between an amazing lifelong beater but bad public flipper, or a good public flipper that will have to be replaced eventually.
I prefer the canyon as well

If you get A slower shipping version and it’s not sent to you. You can get lube and Loctite nabalis just new you dident need it so they sent it without it plus on there website they talk about how it ships faster without any lube or loctite
Hopefully one day nabalis makes a titanium balisong, and since its nabalis it will probaly be close or under 300$ which everyone would love and buy

Zen pins are made of 416 stainless steel from what I've heard. It's unclear if this balisong will obliterate its handle gap like a swordfish, or if it will somehow outlast despite its construction. I've seen Nabalis directly respond on a Ghost Flipping video where they stated that a zen pin hitting 7075 is overall better than having alu zen pins according to their research. However, I'm skeptical. Only time will tell, since this is a first for any balisong.
I have an extrusion in my hand as I type this and can say that this balisong is pretty nifty, but not perfect. Like you said in the video, it very much flips similarly to the AL with a glassy clack and iffy chaplins. Tolerances are good, but mine did develop tap from a single drop on hard floor, which I promptly loctited soon after. It's good that the bushings are there to ease the stress, but this is the first time it's happened to a Nabalis product for me. I find that despite the concave mills in the handles and the texture that was pressed into the sides, this thing is still pretty darn slippery. However, I think I prefer this over the AL overall since this has decent jimping, and an overall lower price tag for the value you're getting. Can't say if it's better than the Canyon or Vulp in regards to a new budget king. But I can say that it's pretty enjoyable and a nice addition for only $50.

Idk why but watching you flipping it i can feel like it sliperry light and doesnt carry much momentum and it flip kinda weird maybe try out the heavy weght
