    Thank you for the info about the pig mats. Now I can set my chainsaws down on the shop floor and let them bleed out.

    Also, do you have any tool recommendations through the Amazon link? torque wrenches, brake clean sprayer, cool little grease gun. or just shop tools or supplies... things that you use.

      I love the sureshot sprayer that I use, and that little grease gun. The cool thing is that if you go to Amazon through that link then search for whatever, it helps us.

    The first year that the twin chamber forks came on the XC model was 2008 . They never put them on the XCW’s because the open chamber forks were noticeably plusher in tight woods and the best way to get the twin chambers to work in tight woods was to install those sub tanks .Air Cell was the brand I used. The guy actually was in Knoxville Tennessee, which was about 2 hours from me and I got to be pretty good friends with him so he would send me new items to test .But even with the AirCells installed the open chamber forks were noticeably plusher in the tight woods than the twin chambers 🤘🏼

      For sure. The old open chambers were amazing also. Freaking KTM

    Extremely interesting and detailed. My tuner guy refuses to share his secrets. Looks like Leandra needs to step up and do suspension work LOL.

      @highlandcycles  Год назад

      Hahaha, We don't share any real secrets. You would have to already be a good tuner to get much info from this.

    I have the same suspension on my 2008 sx 250 and it's amazing for the fast stuff and very stable but for hard enduro and technical terrain, meh not so good, the midway harshness doesn't seem to go away no matter what.

    My 13 300xc has them. They are good. Never re-valved them. Just sprung for me and took some time to get them dialed in. I think the XC and the SX only got them. Not for very long either.

    Another great video Morgan. I'm curious about how you will keep adam from bottoming now that you softened the shim stacks so much? Will you be setting the oil height higher? Or stiffer spring?

    So sad the closed chamber was not continued by WP. Nothing better came for a long time especially on stock bikes. Some say WP is always a good base-design, but then, when it was 90% finished developers went for a beer and never came back. I have the 4CS, which needs a lot of effort to function well. The same with X-plor. Both need a compression holder(s) with external adjuster and massive reinforcement of basevalve etc. etc..

    Are those forks identical or does one have the comp. adjuster and one have the rebound, I would like to know how you charge the bladder with nitrogen, aren't those the only forks WP used that bladder system.

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  Год назад

      These are identical. We use a needle hooked up to the nitrogen tank. They have a rubber thing you push the needle through.

    2 things, 1 - damn, I just picked up some motion pro bleeders. What type do you recommend? 2 - I'm surprised he's not doing a mousse in the tires, is the tube that he has decent? I'm not familiar with it. Again, thanks for the vids, will use the affiliate link in the future.

      @highlandcycles  Год назад +2

      I like the System Tech Racing bleeders and he is going to use Lucioli tubes. They are crazy good. 7mm thick and rim locks built in. They are really good

    I've been considering replacing my AER forks with twin Chamber forks but the offset is a little different because of the axle size. You ever notice a difference?

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  Год назад +1

      I haven’t done that swap. We usually just install the 6500 kit in AER forks. It gets you the same setup as the old twin chambers but with better fitment.
