After sitting through so many of my child's grade and middle school sings where the kids didn't think it was cool to sing, it is a joy to listen to these kids and see the looks on their faces as they perform.
I've watched tons of these choir videos and there's too many too for school kids. Bohemien Rhapsody, for example. These kis are beautiful.
Here from HONY to see this man's work. The diversity in this group is beautiful.

Did you watch their version of "Hallelujah" yet? IT"S BEAUTIFUL ! I've watched that one multiple times! This is my first time watching this video, though. I'm not disappointed at all! It's obvious the choir director is gifted and these young people are as well!

This brings back highschool chorus nostalgia for me. I remember doing this in 10th grade. Kudos to this group you can really tell they are feeling the song!! An yes indeed this is what the world should look like Its so great to see such a diverse group come together to raise the vibration of humans

Looking at this video makes me cry. But in a good way. This is where my life and singing started . I loved this chorus. Back in 1990 to 1995 I was apart of this wonderful union.. I used to go there from an after school center called Fredrick Douglass.My heart just melted things that will always be apart of you til the day you die
I also REMEMBER doing a play at symphony space on 96st and Broadway called revels
my choir is doing this song and we all love it at flowing wells high school so thak you for this song

I remember during freshman year, I watched this video over and over again in amazement everytime, because my highschool choir sings this in our year-end show, for the seniors. I am now a sophomore, and and the nostalgia is hitting me hard, and my choir teacher and seniors is leaving this year. I hate and love life.

We're singing this song during graduation
My choir (all girls) just sang in the Sydney Opera House and now we are going to sing this song and well the video inspires me to try my hardest.
This was the last song that was sang at the final concert of our year. Every choir level at the school sang it and it was incredibly sad seeing some of the seniors faces as the knew this would be their last high-school concert.
Gorgeous. This is the most beautiful arrangement of this song I believe I have ever heard. Some day we'll all get to sing together again!

AHGHHHG I FINALLY re discovered this gem of a song I sang in a choir before highschool. A bunch of Black urban Chicago youth singing, I had chills by the end. Like idk, really meant a lot to me to be singing this song, glad other young ppl got to sing it

That was just fabulous ! It reminded my untrained but appreciative ear of a combination of choirs I heard in Africa, and gospel choirs in the USA. The looks on the singers' faces is wonderful to see. Huge respect ! Thanks for sharing :)

I agree about the "way too few views", this needs to be seen more. This song, and especially this version of the song always pulls at my heart strings, my daughter's former high school choir sings this every year at the last concert of the school year as the very last song. The choir always invites choir alumni who are in attendance to come up on stage to sing along, it is awesome to see the whole stage filled with current and former students, some who are now adults.
Thank you for posting this Kirby Shaw arranged version, I applaud your mission to bring the arts to kids of all backgrounds!

So inspiring.. this reminds me of my childhood when I used to part of the choir at school and other social events. I specially loved my music classes at school. There is something about singing together. Wonder why I didn't continue my singing. Singing in the same notes in a group is so thrilling and satisfying
