@H2oMechanic2RC Well deserved, you got some.serious performance out of your shrimp rigger 💪 Building 2 left / right sides happened to me before as well 😅
Thank you so much for the giveaway present Jan and for your nice and kind words! You have been inspirational for so many hobbyists around the world and for me you have the most genuine yt rc boat channel which is based on the true spirit of rc hobby, ie sharing your knowledge and help other hobbyists enjoy this awesome hobby!
Thank you, Dim 🙏 If you love what you do, it's not hard to be enthusiastic about it. The video making and community communications became part of the hobby, and I really enjoy that, too!
I used that same motor in my shrimp rigger. It was incredibly fast, I used a 1.6 pitch 27mm aluminum prop, with no turn fin, bad idea, it slid across the water into some submerged brush and the motor tore itself out of the motor mount and strip the prop of its blade. I used an Octura strut and rudder combo. I’m sure you are enjoying yours by now. PS “put a turn fin on it guys” 🤣
@@CozyRC Have a smaller, high amp motor with a 150 ESC and a 4S LiPo i am trying to squeeze into it. Have to change several of the mount points to get everything to fit. Considering creating the ski-box under to cover the prop shaft.
@@gabrielbedient7587Sounds good! I'm going to add the ski as well, and I narrowed the front sponsons for less resistance. Part 2 will be uploaded today or tomorrow ✌️
I am 62 years old and new to boats so I hope you don't mind but will probably copy your setup. Normal I fly sailplanes. But I need a change of speed to keep me on my toes 😂
Great boat I gave two kits away with custom Strut 4mm to 3/16 conversion. mine so far is the fastest 3S With turn fin 64 MPH out there. and yes i have a video of it too.
I also recently built the boat and I can only recommend replacing the servo holder plate with carbon. I would also replace the cover for the battery with a larger one so that you can install a larger battery. This allows you to use the Cnhl 3000mah batteries. I am very excited to see what you will make of it.
Thank you for your recommendations! It's great to hear that a 3000mAh lipo might fit with a hatch mod. I will definitely consider it, as well as the carbon servo mount 👍
Yep im waiting to get my motor and im gonna start building mine. Im going to put a tp power 4200kv 2930. Im looking to get 80+ mph. Ill have a video up whwn i do it. I cant wait. Great job bud!
How did you manage to blow the prop shaft? I use the big far East website for almost all my parts. The video description contains the parts list of the hardware that I will use. ✌️
@@CozyRC The prop shaft came of the flex cable, that stayed with the boat but the prop, shaft and bushing are in the lake... Thank you and I will check out your description 👍🏼
Ok Ok, It happened to me because I was FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS AND THEY DON'T SAY TO SWITCH UP SIDES. OK! I was not the only one who did this Thank God. Could you let me know what motor you used? Everyone is just going for all-out speed and forgetting to tune for turning. I have seen folks with 3650s, 60S. Also, I have seen 28MM cans and I have seen "H2OMech" and his crazy speed Arse jam a 40MM TTT in there (just kidding, but I would not put it past him. I have used an outrunner just to be different. I like blasting some calm speed laps that are super consistent and the little 2845-2750KV on 4s is a nice little change from what I see everyone doing with the shrimp. I am turning an Octura X535 prop.
Your setup sounds great! Top speed is often the focus, and honestly, I love to set some good speed numbers, too. That being said, I will tune this boat for running laps as well! It's perfect for the small pond nearby my house, where I ran some laps with my Mini Mono and Hydromite. I think my record lap is 8.1 seconds with the Hydromite. I have good hopes this boat will beat that. I will run a 2858 2900kV on 3S and 4S, with a 36-38mm prop
Haha why is it always when i build a new rc a few weeks larer you also build it is am currently getting done with my rigger that i am building for someone
@@CozyRC yes it is the b068 gona be overpowering this one with a rocket 3450kv 2948 on 3s and maybe on 4 but i will maybe make a turn fin on it if the friend would like to but nog necassary
If you want to run ovals, you need a turn fin for sure. For just speedrunning, you can take it off. I will add a turn fin, because I want to run it in the small pond and set some fast laps 😉
Very cool project! I want to build a triple digit rigger at some point soon , so it's probably going to have to be a longer hull to fit the necessary hardware
So beautiful 😍. My favourite boat is. Outrigger..on of the most beautiful RUclipsr cozy ❤❤❤ love you from Bangladesh 😱
Thanks, I appreciate it! I'm making some mods on this one, so it will not be the average Shrimp rigger!
I applied the shout-out! These are fun boats to build & run. I was the fool who built 2 left sides 😆

Nice one! I almost finished 1 of 3 that I'm building. I made a custom carbon fiber turnfin with a double bend. I hope to maiden run it this weekend!
Very cool. I am working on one myself.
Nice! What setup are you planning to run?

I posted in your last video about doing a rigger. So this is brilliant thanks again for your channel and the time you put in to it
@MichaelLing-bz4yq No problem at all, that's why I added the parts list in the description! Enjoy the build, this rigger will surely be fast enough 😅
I'm glad you like it, and I appreciate your kind feedback!

@AdamEverythingRC That's a great speed for 3S, nice job! I use a lower kV motor, but who knows what I will end up with. ✌️
Add a ski at the rear over the stuffing tube/strut, they run much better.
Thank you, I was planning that already! And I will narrow the sponsons with 10mm, too.
@@CozyRC Dont forget to add a turn fin.
Thanks, I won't! I will add some reinforcement in the sponson as well, before I close it.
it is very honorable of you and I am most grateful for it🙏

Very nice, just finished mine but blew the prop shaft out the back. Fun build, do you know a good site for rigger parts? Thanks have a great day!
