Thanks. There are two main issues in this simulation. First, the velocity of the sheet is not uniform at all. There is only one contact line in the contact area with matching velocity to the circumferential velocity of the roller. Other points slides. So you could see roller sliding texture on the sheets in real world. Second, the friction force has a limit in the rolling process and can not increase anymore. Usually, it sets to be the ultimate shear strength of the sheet material.

I appreciate your tutorials a lot! Do you think you can make more tutorials about abaqus cae optimization techniques like topology? I want to learn all about them especially topology optimization of already existing 3d parts. For instance I want to do a topology optimization of a plate that has a few holes set as boundaries and a few others set as concentrated force. Thanks in advance!!

amazing demonstration clear english and knowledge,, can you please modify this explanation for bending rolling by abaqus? how to bend by rolling? what will be the residual stresses restored in the material? and how we can take this results as input for further next step. again appreciate your help

Thank you very much sir for the video. I have a question. Can we use VUMAT to see texture evolution in this model?
