Immigrant Song is perfect for Thor: Ragnarok because the song is about a vikings traveling to a distance land.
Also is super weird hearing a Zeppelin song at all on a trailer, since Plant is so special about it. But I agree, it fits really good.
***** Not trailers in particular but he is not very fond of licencing his music for films,commercials ,etc. That's one of the reasons why Led Zeppelin' s songs were never in rhythm games like Guitar Hero.
Also why for School of Rock the cast made a big "Please let us use your music" video to Plant so they could use Immigrant Song in the van scene with the kids :)

The song in the Thor trailer is Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song", which talks about Valhalla, the Norse Mythological version of Heaven. With the Valkyrie (female warriors fighting Hela on flying horses in trailer, who in mythology escorted fallen warriors to Valhalla) and Norse Goddess of Death Hela in the movie, a song about Valhalla is appropriate.

Immigrant Song was released in 1970. Zeppelin is most associated with the 70s.

You guys are so wrong about the music on the Thor trailer. You couldn't get a more fitting song. It's literally a song about Vikings. And I mean...pop song? Led Zeppelin? Just because a song is old, doesn't make it "like Guardians of the Galaxy." Don't get me wrong, the trailer is certainly meant to evoke that GotG feel, but it did so in a way that's perfectly appropriate for Thor.
But hey, we're all welcome to our opinions.

Have you guys seen the trailer for "3 Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri" yet? It's hilarious, and directed by the same guy who did In Bruges.
Yeah, it is an amazing trailer. It caught me totally off guard. Now, I cannot wait to see it as I loved "In Bruges" and really enjoyed "Seven Psychopaths".

Jedi keep the peace they don't keep the balance. That was the problem that got them into so much trouble in the prequels. The Jedi started getting into politics and fighting wars because they saw it as part of keeping the peace. This is what both Luke and Anikin struggled with, Obi-Wan said kill Vader, Luke said no he can be redeemed. Windu and the Jedi said Palpatine had to be killed on the spot Anikin said no he needs to be tried in a court of law for his crimes. The Jedi operate in extremes and the Skywalkers don't really agree with this practice.
TheJjcczz Well wasn't that Anikin's whole thing bringing balance instead of peace. Then after he became corrupted the Jedi passed that job on to Luke. It seems to me like the Jedi never really understood what that meant in the first place.
I have to agree with Hamster Dance, for a group of people who were supposed to be some of the wisest in the universe the Jedi were pretty stubborn and thick when it came to problems concerning their own order.
Hamster Dance Yeah pretty much, although there are two ways to look at it. One Anikin did restore balance because he killed Palpatine and saved Luke which, proved that there is good and bad in everyone, the key is finding balance. The other is that Luke restored balance because he went against the Jedi and saved his father rather than killing him like the Jedi wanted.
Jay C Neither side did really, but it's only made worse when you realise that both the Jedi and the Sith talked about balance. The Jedi talked about restoring balance by wiping out the Sith and Sith talked about how neither side could ever be completely destroyed, but then tried to wipe out the Jedi anyway. Both sides ended up being pretty stupid in the end.

When it's all said and done, you'll all realise that Thor Ragnarok was better than The Last Jedi 😂 It's been a nostalgia machine since The Force Awakens... I mean why is it ALWAYS a fuckin Death Star??? Even when Han mentioned that, they replied with "But this one is a BIGGER Death Star!" Smh...
I AM PUMPED FOR STAR WARS! I wasn't as big of a Star Wars fan (I enjoyed them and the practical effects but wasn't a die hard fan like most Star Wars fans) until I saw the first Disney produced film The Force Awakens. Rogue One was decent not as good as The Force Awakens though especially with that ending! That ending sucked in my opinion even though is was unexpected for a Disney movie. I just didn't like sitting through that long of a movie and once I finally cared about the characters they shit all over them left n right one after the other and then it just ended.

Just so you guys know, The Last Jedi opens on December 15th. They said "This Christmas" for Rogue One too, I think. It's just a general term for December because it will be showing when Christmas comes around.

Guys, Thor has been taken to the Guardians part of the universe. Jeff Goldblum's character "The Grandmaster" is the brother of "The Collector" from Guardians played by Benicio Del Toro. Same universe, so yes it looks like Guardians because that is where they are.

I'm with Suraj even though the first couple Fast & The Furious were the best out of the series I can still enjoy them but as for Transformers after the 2nd one I couldn't sit through that long of a movie where you can barely see what is going on because of all the things flying and blowing up! I haven't watched the last 2 transformers and I am honestly surprised they are putting the budget on the line for yet another transformers movie that is probably the same damn thing!

That's just my opinion but I thought Force Awaken was just okay. But so was the first half of Rogue One.
i think the reason Thor looks like Guardians is because 1. its technically set in the same setting as GotG as opposed to the Avengers movies, and 2. they want the "cosmic" universe/movies to have a similar style

Also think this way the real reason behind the Guardians is not just them it's a crazy space adventure. and this thor is going from asghard to space adventure hence the similar feel to guardians makes it easier to separate this one from Earth unlike the last 2 thor movies
If you read the star wars legacy books that involve the jedi and the training of the new jedi order. especially the later ones after the vong war. luke starts to openly acknowledge the so called darker emotions and there place in the force an openly uses force lighting a few times.
