    Personally, I found another way of understanding the second question that was easier or me to grasp onto.
    If you are taxed $2.50 on every $100 of $250,000:
    -first find out how many 100s go into 250,000 = 2,500 (remove 2 zeros)
    -multiply the result by the $2.50 = $6,250

    Hello, i didn't subscribe to your channel because I'm trying to become a real estate agent, i subscribed out of genuine curiosity about the processes of real estate as an heir to my father's property in oregon. I appreciate your channel, thank you for creating it. I know nothing about real estate, and finances were a taboo subject growing up. I'm going into my inheritance blind as a bat. I grew up ignorant about most financially related things and I'm trying to change that on my own so i don't inevitably lose what my father worked so hard for when i inherit it. My question is, how do i find out how my specific property's taxes are being calculated? Thank you.

      I think is B, you multitply $392,000 which is the asessed value X Tax rate 0.51% which give you= 1,999.2 and it says montly so you divide that by 12= 166.6
      I hope B is the right answer lol

    • @rootriverwoodworks5883
      @rootriverwoodworks5883 Год назад

      $2,042.71 is the total payment.
      Principle is $896.88
      Interest is $1,145.83
      Across your first 28 payments the principle payment will increase by roughly $4 every payment. After 28 payments you will be increasing roughly $5/payment every month.
      Be careful if you refinance as this amortization resets.

    Here in Nevada, I had a multiple choice question on a practice final exam:
    *The monthly taxes on a property are $400. If the tax rate is $4 per $100 of assessed value, what is the assessed value?*
    the choices are:
    A. $480,000 B. $100,000 C. $120,000 D. $192,000
    So apparently, the correct answer is C. I don't know how they got the answer and the question itself doesn't even make sense to me. If anybody knows how to solve this step by step, I'd be very appreciative. I'm thinking they might have made an error...

    • @TheRealEstateClassroom
      @TheRealEstateClassroom  3 года назад +8

      Hi Kevin... C. $120,000... take $400 monthly taxes x 12 months = $4,800 annual taxes... Take $4,800 annual taxes / .04 (convert $4 per $100 to .04) = $120,000

    what if in the same format as the last question it says full cash value instead of assessed value? I'm doing the exact thing youre doing but getting an answer different than the answer key (maybe answer key is wrong?)
    The tax on an owner occupied residential property is $8.50 per 100 of assessed value. The full cash value of the property is $60,000. What would the taxes be for a half year.
    I'm getting $2,555 but the book is saying $255. Am i right?
