I hope Charlotte assembles a band and tours after the album release. She has an album full of her own songs and could use hits from her old band to fill out the rest of the show.

Per my 7-year-old daughter: "Her voice is so beautiful, it prepares my eyes for happy tears." And re the guitar solo: "It's like it drives away pain with a dream." Yeah, I know that last part borrows from the lyrics, but she really meant it, and my daughter's eyes really were wet. Plus, she got me to appreciate that much more how faithfully yet creatively Timo followed Charlotte's lead-- the desperation in that electric guitar embodies so much of the vocal longing... A true masterpiece.

The intonation in the first half of the song is far better imho in the first version she did. But in the middle of this one she really hits a different vibe, less mournful. And then she brings the different emotions together. More of a Ghost Love Score type journey.
All things considered the first one is more sincere in tone, less acrobatic for the sake of it.
But she had to take it up there, I guess.
It still ends soft. Because it must. It's a soft revolution.
And it continues. Love the walk off for the solo.

That's immortal.
Where you are right now is the best place to be. No matter how weary your feet there will be flowers in your path.
Adding Timo just adds so much more depth that the digital sounds just can't match

Ik wist niet dat mijn favoriete band aller tijden, Delain, in februari jl., na 16 jaar, uit elkaar is gegaan. Ik was er vanaf het begin 'bij'.

The studio version of this song is great. I can listen to it on repeat. This live performance is something different. A completely different level. I get goosebumps listening. if there is a song i would like to hear at the end of the world it would be this one for sure, an apocalyptic scenario, people without hope
all together enjoying that nostalgic end of what's left of humanity, flaming stones falling from the starry sky, the breeze blowing in my face, I close my eyes and feel a last hot tear flow from him knowing that there is the end of everything.
Honestly Charlotte, I had chills listening to this during Tim's stream. And even now, i get chills knowing you and Timo synergize so well, and his guitar-work is just amazing.
