BlueComm transmits first wireless underwater video broadcast

  • Find out how BlueComm, our underwater optical modem, was the critical building block in making Nektons First Decent mission success. BlueComm was wirelessly transmitting a live video broadcast from below the water to a worldwide audience which has never been achieved before.

    so where's the link to the broadcast?

      One BlueComm transmits the data from the sub to a receiver BlueComm which is attached to the ship above. That data is then broadcast from the ship via satellite to people's televisions

      @@Sonardyne let me clarify is there a published RUclips link of the operator, show host, inside the sub doing the presentation. We'd love to see the post production event even if its on RUclips. Great work on bridging the gap in such demanding conditions! Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter

      @@SeattleRingHunter Yes, you can see it on Sky News' RUclips channel - ruclips.net/video/Xf5ERG32UxI/видео.html If you look just to the right of the hatch of the sub, you will see the BlueComm set which was attached to the ship that's receiving the live data. Have a search on here for Deep Ocean Live - that was the main mission
