I wouldn't tell anyone. I'd spend the rest of my life gathering it all up. Leave it to the kids.
I know people are stupid!
👍
thats not how it works
They already did that. This is just a bonus for fools like you.
It wouldn’t even work because then your kids wouldn’t have enough smarts to not let the government find out about it and then boom you have legal issues
Rick from the pawn stars : “I will pay you 1 billion for it , and I am taking a big risk here.....
*”1 million” look man this is the biggest deal I’ve done in pawn stars history ok.”
Lol
The least i would take is 15Billion this is a rare find... i will donate 1Billion to fight Covid19
Thats my bottom, rock solid price...
😁
2 cents is a far as I can go
They do all the work, go to all that expense and then the lawyers and governments will come in and scoop up all the goodies.. Such a deal..
Yep. Very little if anything will be left.
The best deal the govt gives is, "what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine"
@@ericsamuelson6069 Technically true, even your own property isn't yours. If you ever stop paying property taxes, expect the government to confiscate your home.
@@ericsamuelson6069 ... and the key part of your sentence is, "the best deal". Sad.
That why’s life if I would’ve found it or my team, Iker would keep it on the Down low and black market here we come lol
It's amazing when something is found everybody claims it belongs to them
David Rubin yes but the truth is they stole it from me
Its communism
It's belong to the natives tibes of Colombia
XxWALHALAxX MOZZA people seem to act like being a liar is socially acceptable
That's why you should keep your mouth shut. 🤷
Those guys should definitely get something for their efforts!
They will probably get a donation from Columbia (the owner of the coast who allowed them to explore it) to their lab for publicity purposes. And perhaps even more free reign and funding to explore some more. The real winner is WHOI, which becomes more famous university. "Those guys" might just go down in history a bit. This kind of "money" is spare change really to governments, but might draw tourists to visit museums I guess.

Typically the people who make these big discoveries are given one percent of the total amount. Doesn't seem like much but it often is in the millions.
Should've kept it quiet.

you know that fruit cake at 01:19 can’t keep a secret
@@rh9980 You said it. Not me.
Absolutely. I wouldn’t have told anyone at all. Especially since Spain still claims its their ship.
They should’ve never told anyone they should’ve just pull it up themselves and lock it up
If I was the guy that spotted I’d say “Nope. Sorry boss, didn’t see NUTHIN. Oh well, let’s try that other target.”
Then go back later with your own stuff on the low down. Never say treasure unless you want to loose it.
who’s here after outer banks
emma c deadass was just about to comment so who tryna pull a OBX move rn
everything popping HAHA lets do it
I just finished the series and now im litterally going insane and want to find a treasure
the royal merchant
👍🏽😂
Rothchilds thank you for the extra 17b you found for them...
I know...right??
If you can get it up from 2000ft they will take it and give you a loan if you like
OPEC ,Putin, and China thanks you for blaming everything on 0.2 percent of the global population and not them...great job idiot.
Truth brother, truth. But they will pay up soon.
The law of finds should apply to everything regardless of who was the original owner of where it was found. If no one has been actively looking for the object( s) then it " should be " finders keepers and no one else can lay claim and no taxes should be paid to any country or any one laying claim.
I like how you guys said it was a secret. then you tell everybody on your Channel right now where it's at...haha I wish I had me a big giant boat I'll be over there searching for it myself..lol
2000 ft down is well out of range of diving. Only subs can get it.
After watching outer banks it makes me want to know if there’s actual treasure somewhere out there and go search.
i mean the royal merchant is a real ship thats still out there with a billion dollars worth
I been single for 5 years. There's treasure in this earth alright
Literally here because of outer banks lol. Last time I went on this binge was Into the Blue with Paul Walker

Who owns the gold? Columbia because it's in their waters, or Spain because it was on their ship..... OR.... the British because they won the battle?!
COLOMBIA
Neither. If it is located in International waters, International salvage laws apply which are very specific. 12nm is the territorial limits for coastal waters. If it is outside of 12nm, then it is in International waters.
British own it end of story xD
Or the guys who FOUND it lol
or The explorers that founded.
If I was that guy I’d keep the coordinations for that stuff, and just go and scoop it up over time
Too much risk, it's still considered stealing.
310 year rule... finders keepers.
I live on Cape Cod all my life. Been metal detecting this certain area for over 50yrs. I have guite a collecting of silver and gold coins. But I am not going to share with any one for fear of losing what I love doing.
That's pretty cool! Do you live off of your findings?
Hmmmmm looks like we will be stalking you this summer Scott Quellette... watching you do you beep beep thing.

@@cavemanlovesmoke4394 Scott Quellete swings his metal detector side to side walking along the beach. He hears it go beep beep. He stands still and takes s look around. A thick fog bank rolls in from the sea. He bends down to dig in the sand he hears something from the dunes and as he looks up he sees a 36 year man staring him down wearing a trench coat and sun glasses. Scott knows now he will loose what he loves.
who ever finds something like that...that old........ and at their expense.......owns it !!
Spain has had over 300 years to make a claim on the ship. But as soon as someone does the work for the claim that's been on the bottom of the sea. Here comes Spain. That's ours
What a silly reasoning. And who was Spain going to claim for 300 years, the octopuses? Claims are made when something is found, not before. LOL
They made the claim when they hoisted Spain’s flag over the ship and had Spain’s soldiers as the crew.. the fact it is not only sunken treasure but a grave of Spanish soldiers killed by the British show who it will always belong to. The treasure however.. that was stolen from the indigenous people of South America. It should not go to any Spanish government, should be used to preserve the history of the natives of South America.
I`m guessing the gold was plundered from the Mayan so should it not belong to them ?
@@Sean-is7xg lol thank you for giving modern day robbers legitimacy over their loots
After 300 years they can hardly claim ownership. It's been abandoned all these years with no hope of recovery. They just need to accept reality and get over the fact that someone found something they could not find.
Lawney Malbrough so if someone steals form you and you don't know what happened to the items.....it's abounding
If the ship reck was in Colombian waters the Spanish need to get over it and let the Colombians have what's rightfully theirs!
Under the convention of the laws of the sea, any military ship shall sank shall always belong to the country that launched/commissioned it, and shall be considered a grave site, salvaged by the ships home country, or both.
@@user-ok6ef9zn4f sorry but according to the convention on the law of the sea, it still belongs to Spain. The ship was a military vessel, first and foremost.
@@williamgosvener47 What's Spain going to do? Go to war over it? Laws are only a societal construct.
Atleast you don't have to split 70 percent of your findings with the robot lol
I wouldn't have said a word. They blabbed their mouth and may not get a dime. They should have called the right people to help them get down there and get it and split it. Then if they wanted to let the world know they found a wreck go for it.
You do realize that thse people are professional not you're average divers?
it doesn't matter who lay claim to it but they found it so they'll get a finders fee, they're very rich men no matter which country wins in court...
i was wrong then... sucks for them i guess, but then again this was believed to be lost and have given up searching for it and its countries thats claiming ownership not businesses (idk but i think they're entitled to a small %, after all they could've kept it for themselves).... only they know the exact location of it so i guess if they play their cards right they could still get some money from this IF they offer to recover it...
They are probably not religious. Means they have morals.
They are in it for the history of it. They are true explorers. It really is an amazing piece of history. Just to be the one to find it or one of the people who has seen it/knows where it is would be a pleasure.
Wtf....the explorers do all the work and invest all the money to find the wreck and they don't get anything? I hate lawyers.
Thats not what happens! It's all percentages based on involvement!

Silly pickle. Leaving treasure lying around.
Very amazing.
Way to go guys and good job .
Hot dam it I spend 5 years searching for that shipreck
So awsome cant wait to see what else is found out on the treasure coast, fl
I’m calling in sick tomorrow. WHERES MY SPEEDOS?!
Do I smell a pirates of the Caribbean sequel? ? Yup
Dang, it's like "Uncharted" and "Outer Banks" in real life!
Well, let's use the SS America, or the 'Ship of Gold' for an example. That ship was sunk off the North Carolina coast in the mid 1800's carrying vast amounts of California gold rush precious metal, including thousands of coins minted and uncirculated from the San Francisco mint, which was commissioned solely for that reason, the gold rush. Lloyds of London, the insurance company that had insured the cargo made the claim after the discovery in the 1990's. When all the court battles subsided, Lloyds only received slightly over 10% of the several billion dollars worth of gold cargo from that discovery. The rest, went to shareholders, mostly from Columbus, Ohio, who backed the multi year search and development of deep diving drones which were able to recover the majority of the gold lying on the bottom. The shareholders return was over 1,000%! Not too bad! That means that a single share, costing around $10,000, netted the investor a whopping $10,000,000!
How amazing.
Thank God - Its Found !
Have a wonderful life. That is amazing.
Neither countries have any claim and it shouldn’t prevent further exploration. If it’s in international waters, then it’s yours. Unless one of the countries are funding the salvage.
*If u find this or something similar in life, never open Ur mouth*
It’s very interesting live in the museum
I would've taken some treasure then I'd let the government know about it lol
This is priceless come on now...
Anybody got a raft and some floaties? Let’s go get it and we’ll split it!!!
well the loot is on a Spanish ship so i'd say its theirs. just because i sail my ship into anyone else's waters it doesn't mean my ship and its cargo are theirs, its still my property. although i do believe those who found it should at least get a good reward for doing the leg work and finding it.
there goes the curse of oak island show! ha
Pay locating fee.
1) robot
2) personnel
3) consultation
4) identification
5) etc
If that was me i'll get those treasures little by little
Awesome stuff
Has their been any updates on this?
This was literally NUMBER ONE Dream to me ☹️ go find and discover what’s underwater but me no have enough cash to buy the things
Is Spain trying to steal this treasure too?
They were the original Thieves! So they dont deserve a cent!
I hope finders are keepers!!
they found that in Colombia Waters that's not international waters so that belongs to COLOMBIA if anything,,,,,
RAFAEL SAENZ depends how close it was to the coast of Colombia. If it was further than 20 miles from shore that’s international waters!
Mr Jones okay well that’s even worse
Well it all going to depend on who's got more money to spend on lawyers I guess ,,,,LOL
when it comes to treasure its finders keepers
It belongs in a museum. Proceeds to use dynamite to remove the dirt covering the coins.

I find stories like this fascinating, but how many Holy Grails can there be out there? The media needs to get a little more inventive with their storylines.
Why tell anybody? They should have kept it a secret between them and excavate the thing slowly but surely bit by bit, getting rich by selling it on Ebay! LOL!
I love under water cameras
What a discovery
China said they owned that treasure, they have an ancient map to prove their claim.
China is not the owner. Finders keepers loosers weepers
They must have draw new dash line over that sea.
Wouldn’t have told anybody lmao
They can find a 300 year old ship wreck but could never find flight MH370? Smh
Gotta wait 300 years. So they can have news then.
Wait. what is this? Is there more than one ship filled with 17 billion dollars? There are videos from 2 years ago telling this story.
Eponine Reads there is hundreds of billions out there so yes much more than 2 ships.
That long on the sea floor it should go to who found it and who funded the search.

under surface stuff rule. Cool.
Haven’t they known about this ship for a long time?

The treasure is mine! It fell out of my pocket and and drifted in current after the wind blew it into the water im not lieing its so true i actually am so broken up i believe it as true!
You have a big pocket
Dang
I'm headed to get these
Dam, lucky robot.
The fact we know about it means that the finders will only get like 5% of the haul. Maybe not even that much. That's why if you find a treasure, don't go looking for clout. And if a buddy is with you..... Well.... If its worth 15 bil.... you need to decide if that friend of yours is a real friend or not. A real friend would take half and keep his or her mouth shut. But 9/10 when someone else knows... Everybody else will know. You just may have to bury your friend in the place you found the treasure lol. And WATCH YOUR BACK because he/she is thinking the same exact thing.
Lol i was wondering if spain was going to try to claim it
They deserve half of the fortunes
Shipwreck Ahoy.
2000 feet down for 300 years! Ever hear of Finders Keepers? How could anyone else have a claim on that treasure?
different countries, different laws
Should go to the guys who found IMHO. The countries who want it to display the artifacts should pay them.
Lucky!!
No way I’d tell anybody to just see it be taken by somebody else
I bet they don't get a penny and will end up in a museum

Great find! There is no moral evil in being a treasure hunter. Exploring is good, if you find something at your own expense and want to not be compensated that's your right. It is also the right of the treasurer hunter to profit from his/her effort. This modern idea fostered by certain people that treasure hunters are evil is just plain wrong and a modern bias from goverments or certain archeologist that they alone have a right to something found when they put no time, effort, or money into that project is just legiaized theft. Modern Spain or Columbia have less claim than the British who sunk her.
it was in a ship owned by the Spanish Kingdom, therefore it's belong to Spain
@@casanova8762doesn't work like that, it's the finders, who then logs an ownership. Unless an insurance company owns the loss and has paid out the original owner. The sea is international waters beyond a certain distance from shore.
Don’t tell intill you make sure you have your reward then tell 😉
They should be able to get a reward.
