they said on their show that the inspiration came from people who have a condition where they can't gauge the amount of pressure to put on something. the example they used was picking up an empty carton of milk thinking it's full, when its empty, and not being able to adjust to the difference.

if they wanted to they could have a serious career in music, I just love them and can't get enough of their music. I wish they would put out a cd full of songs.
I think Warner Bros wanted to contract them, but they didn't want a music career so they turned them down.
Mainly because they want to have a comedy act like universal with the lonely island.
Aline Guerrero Noooo, Ylvis signed contract with Warner music Norway even before The Fox. But you're right about the part that they don't want a music career. They want to remain comedians - doing music videos from time to time.
I usually hate songs like this and think they're garbage but when it's taking the piss out of popular music it's fine by me.
