l Gay marriage is not foul, gross, horrific, or anything of that sort. Everyone has the right to love who they love. We are no men or women to judge a man or woman's relationship. There is nothing wrong with gay marriage. The whole thought of it was created by religion almost as a way to create a perfect society, which is a worthless attempt. Sometimes the church you go to, the bible you read, the preacher you listen to is wrong, harsh, and have very little understanding of a person's emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and desires. No man, woman, or child has the right to dictate another man, woman, or child's life and their ways of living that life. Nothing is wrong or stronger than love. Love is an extremely powerful force that not even the powers we adore and respect most can overpower. Think about it. It's a very easy concept to understand, and a very important concept to know.
Clarification: This video was shot on May 31, June 1 and June 2, 2013 - long before The Fox was even on their mind. How do I know? I was the Casting Director from Massachusetts who BOOKED all the actors in the video other than Bard, Vegard and Callie!! I also picked all the locations based on the Directors wishes - we spoke on the phone daily between May 24 and his arrival in Massachusetts on May 29th. We scouted the locations on May 30th! The Video is supposed to be ABSURD - it is a JOKE about how these guys are totally Heterosexual and go to Massachusetts to vacation.....it is not supposed to be serious. Nelson Mandela is not from Massachusetts and it is NOT the land of a 1000 African Tribes (yes 100's of American Indian Tribes but not African). The fact that the Cheerleaders are doing their cheer in a Capped Landfill, next to a defunct Incinerator and that they can't even spell the name of their own State - again Absurd. The fact that they men they live with are a bunch of Regular Guys - non of whom are gay or are close to the stereotypical gay man. They are all big and burly - one pretty boy in the bunch!! The liked the names of the Towns - Haverhill, Attleboro, Pingryville - that's all - they didn't worry about the pronunciation of the names - they liked the way they sounded - wrong. It's all in good fun!! If anyone is interested in learning more - feel free to contact me directly at this page or at jodi purdy casting at gmail dot com - feel free to abuse me all you want for making this hysterical video!!! We had a blast!! Edit: 10 years later. I should point out that the selected Massachusetts and made this video as a homage for being the first State to have Marriage Equality. They were kind of surprised to learn how far behind the US was in terms of Marriage Equality. So this Video is more about them saying “Right On”Massachusetts for being ahead of the curve in the US!
Wow your comment is 10 years ago, but I’m just seeing it. So I’m not expecting a response I guess. But how on earth did they choose Mass as the subject of their song? Did they just put their finger on a map of the US and choose? Or was there something funny about the state to them? I’m a lifelong mass resident and just love this song, so hilarious and absurd. I send it to people all the time 😊
@@Josh-qj1ks - Massachusetts was the first State to recognize Marriage Equality. It was shocking to them that California and New York weren’t first out of the gate. They questioned where and what is Massachusetts and did some research. They made it absurd by adding bits of historical falsehoods mixed in with the truth!

Who hasn't ever seen a hunk on a bus and thought "Mmm, I wanna sit on your lap"
Sollux Captor Can't say I have.
Forslimjims same
Forslimjims Why can't say that you have? Are you ashamed about? Dont worry, we wont judge you. The internett is a judgement free zone(that might have been the biggest lie I have ever told...)
Happydemon Hmm, nah just never wanted to sit on anybodies lap. It's just strange.
Forslimjims So you're telling me you've never seen a hunk on the bus and thought "mmm, I wanna sit on your lap"?
Haven’t heard this in years and it randomly pops back into my head today... couldn’t be happier!

Hehe. Well, they are Norwegian comedians with their own talk show in Norway and have had for years (even before the American «The lonely Island). Ylvis is two brothers, Vegard and Bård Ylvisåker, here with their sidekick Calle). They have made many great songs for their talk show. They also made «The fox» (What does the fox say?) who went viral with 1 billion views worldwide.
Not only is Massachusetts an undiscovered paradise, it's also a shorter drive than the cabin.
This song is one of the few things that can make me laugh until I cannot breathe and holy shit it is amazing
It only has Gay references because Massachusetts was the first state to legalize gay marriage
+Mikabell Starfall gross
+Lisa Labyack wtf is rong with you? gay marriage is not gross
Come on, Stop arguing, Everyone had freedom to opinion, But I love Gay marriage c:
+Mikabell Starfall it's horrific
l Gay marriage is not foul, gross, horrific, or anything of that sort.
BRAVO!!!! This is freaking brilliant Broadway material!
3:31 that creepy guy in the background with the drink is everywhere

Hopefully it's not a spelling test. You have it all wrong. Watch the video again.
It's an awesome comedy song and i think that with serious lyrics it'd be a fucking great "real" song.
Loved it.
Stil awesome at every level
Rewatching this in 2022. Anyone else?
Isn't Nelson Mandela from MS? Really!
Damn. Them bass lines though.
That bass is so sick
I love how the main two have such high tenor voices and that one guy is a baritone
This video is at genius level
Consistency is the key to success here guys! Give us more awesome videos!!!
Wow, suddenly I have a music video to explain to everyone why I'm so homesick. Gee, thanks Ylvis.
