Somehow I had the feeling that many haven't noticed how we can use sbsar in C4D - hope it is clarified with this now ;)

Only thing I forgot to mention is that, after setting up the materials-features you can rise the substance internal material resolution...
The value for this can be found on top of the feature-list after selecting a substance in the assetmanager ;)

Hi, I am trying to use the SBSAR material in C4D S24. I did the same as the tutorial, but I still have a resolution issue. I even increased the size of the c4d shaders render size to 8K. I still some pixelation and cracking in the material when I close up and compared to using the pre-made material in the c4d file given from RD-Texture, the quality of SBSAR is very low... Is there any other solution you can recommend? I'm having this resolution issue not only with the SBSAR from RD-TEXTURE but also the SBSAR from ADOBE SUBSTANCE.
    Thank you very much.

thank you for the amazing tutorial it helps a heap. I am using gtx 1060 with octane 4 but when I make some tweaks it takes to refresh very long. Is there any optimisation tip fro reduce the refresh time?

YES: if you reduce the baking resolution of C4D-shader within the octane settings like shown in the video (I've set it to 4k - you can try out 2k) it will speedup the update-process. After finishing with the setup you can then rise the resultion for your final rendering.
