Dante and Vergil are quite opposites. Plus it might be too complicated since DMC 5 Dante already has a million moves. So they'll have to find a middle ground
I think next dmc neros devil bringer should have its own separate moveset and be able to used as a separate weapon. The only thing his devil arm is good for is grappling enemies which they could do so much more with his devil bringer than just a grappling based weapon. His devil bringer needs to be a attack based weapon in next dmc while keeping the grappling movesets in

my only complaint with aerial combat in FF16 is needing to spam stomp and garuda's grappling claw just to get some actual height during combo's, or needing garuda or phoenix for most aerial combat when it should be achievable with or without them.. I much preferred the simplicity of holding the attack button to go into an automatic aerial combo in DMC.
If you have an enemy in the air, you can do attack, magic burst, attack (hold attack), magic burst and if you upgraded burning blade you should charge enough to do an aerial burning blade before you land
Hold your magic button, launch with torgal, release magic for charged lift, phoenix shift, hold melee during, once the sword is fully charged release it. Doing that will give you more height than spamming stomp and deadly embrace twice. Edit: forgot to mention that there should be an accessory ring that should function like Easy Automatic in DMC, if I’m not mistaken.
back in dmc3, everyone was longing for freestyle to use all styles at once, but i never thought that wed want Clive to have all skills from the 4 characters in dmc5 he is the ultimate action game protag
@zeppelinbudda2368 If you think that, then you haven't played around with the combat enough. Once you start doing stuff like charging mid combo/ability, and riftslipping to extend combos, you will find that that Clive is just as Complex as Nero, some of his abilities are just tied to a submenu (R2 + attack).
@aidan4031 it's not as smooth ether I've done high lvl combos I get it. He's definitely not as good as dante or vergil and Nero is still more complex with his devil breakers

I know that the same combat director participated in both games, but there are so many identical motions that it's a bit off as a fan of Devil Maycry. I would like to make a unique motion that fits the game separately.
it's kinda nice to see just how wrong people were about them "literally just using dmc animations" as I saw people saying. like. no. they're different animations. there's just only so many ways you can swing a big sword with 1 hand.
You know DMC fans is r******d and yeah FF 16 counterpart skill is actually pretty original, some move maybe little bit similar but bruh its not the same
For those who say the game's combat as not as deep as DMC's, I say you're right and that it would have been strange if you were wrong. Honestly, the director said it himself that even as is, he wasn't sure what the reception to this game was going to be. So at least with what I think is this game's success, you can expect deeper action-oriented combat systems going forward. Or at least with a sequel/spinoff/dlc if they do one.
This is a cool video! I love seeing stuff like this (and I’m also biased because you chose my favorite FF16 theme lol) I will say though that I feel like Titans’ Windup skill is closer to Helter Skelter for Nero’s Devil Breakers. I even remember it having nearly a 1:1 animation as well.
I like the fact that FFXVI is way flashier in terms of attacks than even DMCV. One of the things I was most disappointed about FFXV was how bland the attacks and magic system looked. Playing DIablo IV recently was the same. Where the spectacle?
FF16 needs the KH treatment in that they come out with like a Final Mix/Re:Mind cut of the game. Just make a shitton of hard bosses and add like 1 more node to each Eikon ring.
I finally understand why I’m liking 16 more than any other final fantasy. It’s just devil may cry in a scooby-do esq final fantasy disguise. And frankly I’m ok with that. 👌🏻
LOL, thats not influence, thats straight up copy of DMC5, a reskin :D They change a bid the animations so that it not looking 1:1. But still, you can clearly see all the DMC moves.
Well Final Fantasy series already made big Influence on game industry. Other companys already used and using their ideas but nobody care about it. I mean I know that this is totally copy of DMC. But cut them some slacks idc. If we looks closely, some of the moves in FF 16 was taken from Nier Replicant and Automata. Hitting with big Hand that appears from the thin air for example. And most of the moves are just classic normal human sword swings.
Ya know I'm all for games taking a note from the Dmc series with combat, but when some of these are legit copies of the same move it's very lazy looking.
love the combat system in ff 16 and they can do it in future games, but please give us back true party members, equipment system, buffs- and debuffs etc (the true ff or jrpg if you want). ff7 remake is better
so anyone else figure out the stupidly broken like 100 hit combo in 16? its so satisficing to use. basically when you stagger an enemy throw down lightning rod then use the defense orbs you get from ifrit that do damage as they spin around you and then once you cast that use dancing steel and you hit the enemy and lightning rod with both dancing steel and the orbs resulting in a fuck ton of hits. if you also throw in diamond dust before dancing steel you get the 1.50 damage multiplier on top of that. shit shreds health bars. best part is after the combo you can use level 5 zangetsu while they are still staggered. basically as soon as dancing steel ends you go into limit break and use the level 5 zangetsu you got from the entire combo. even managed to make it close enough that i can cast 1 level 5 zangetsu do the entire combo and cast another just in time for the stagger bar to finish. and even better is if you saved diamond dust you can basically throw them into another near stagger depending on the enemy. and thats only utilizing 4 out of the 6 skills you can have. want extra credit throw in level 4 megaflare on top of the dancing steel combo. can also use i think it is reime on top of the lightning rod too for more hits but i havent done so.
Any reason why the video upload is just 720p? Regarding certain abilities, I feel some of them bear more resemblance to the ones in previous DMC games, like Raging Fists having more in common with Hyper Fist from DMC3 Beowulf or Upheaval with DMC4 Shock! from Gilgamesh. Outside of that, I believe most of them are pretty good.
my one gripe with the combat is the long cooldown. i think it severely diminishes the flow. yeah you can change around. but compare it to DMC3, even having only 2 weapons, the fact you have so many options at all times makes it feel better to combo. in 16 you dont really have to think much on when to use them, at least not in nearly in the same way. specially since so many of them have such long wait times in between uses. i do think there should've been some limit, but either halving the cooldowns, or instead of CD it had a mp cost, and the mp is the thing that regenerates would probably make it feel more fun.
@@frosty6845 As commented above, the game uses DRS in performance mode, ranging from 1080p to 720p, though, only in the most demanding moments does the game drop that hard, In any case, it's better to upload a 4k video as RUclips's video compression adds a lot of macro-blocking to fast movement and particle effects, of which this game has a lot. For better image clarity, playing in Resolution Mode (Dynamic 1440p-1080p reconstructed to 4k) would have been a better choice.

Was thinking the same thing. They could've included an accessory that would nerf attack power but would remove cooldowns from certain abilities
my only complaint with aerial combat in FF16 is needing to spam stomp and garuda's grappling claw just to get some actual height during combo's, or needing garuda or phoenix for most aerial combat when it should be achievable with or without them.. I much preferred the simplicity of holding the attack button to go into an automatic aerial combo in DMC.
FF16は少し難しいですよね
If you have an enemy in the air, you can do attack, magic burst, attack (hold attack), magic burst and if you upgraded burning blade you should charge enough to do an aerial burning blade before you land
Hold your magic button, launch with torgal, release magic for charged lift, phoenix shift, hold melee during, once the sword is fully charged release it.
Doing that will give you more height than spamming stomp and deadly embrace twice.
Edit: forgot to mention that there should be an accessory ring that should function like Easy Automatic in DMC, if I’m not mistaken.
There are also no launchers, except for Torgal
@@Sero4 Aerial charged melee is a launcher, and charged magic is also a launcher if an enemy is midair or downed.

he is the ultimate action game protag
Bruh it's too scripted their sum wiggle room but Dmc5 shits on FFVI combat so hard
@@OblivionsAbyss Hard disagree, I legit think you need to spend more time in training mode and you might change your mind :) Also, Eikonic abilities = Devil Breakers
@@aidan4031 LOL pls... its cooldowns with enemies literally frozen in time up to 20 seconds to make sure your hits land, YOU have no idea how DMC5 plays if you make such a shit comment.
Considering Square literally hired the DMC V combat designer/lead for XVI's combat, this was the obvious result, if ain't broke, don't fix it.
DMC wins in the neutral game style... that is to say, the neutral animations like ddoging and priming of the next animations for combos looks way better; however, I feel like FF16 has a better presentation simply because instead of just using new weapons, you are manifesting aspects of the gods/Eikons which is just cooler in my opinion.

Capcom was to busy with their RE Remakes that the character with a kit that would be perfect in DMC 6 is now in another game
Thats fine I think, People who play Capcom games tend to enjoy Square games as well. FF16's success will likely bring character action to a broader audience which will in turn help the next DmC market wise.
The Attack stance of Clive with his sword is the same as Gladiator/Paladin of FF14, it's a lot of reference to FF14 for some of the moves.
They hold their sword out, but it’s not the same. Paladin crouches down some, their arm is not so relaxed, and I’m sure I missed other details but you get the point
There is a LOOOOT of Ff14 things on FF16, my fav is the Ifrit vs Bahamut using Zettaflare (pretty the same of the Loisoux vs Bahamut)

it's kinda nice to see just how wrong people were about them "literally just using dmc animations" as I saw people saying. like. no. they're different animations. there's just only so many ways you can swing a big sword with 1 hand.

Perfect! However its looks similar but they feel WAY different to control tho! Its a WIN regardless :D
FF16 is like the simplified version of DMC but you still can play like DMC
Yes! That's what I've been saying. Visually they're similar but they feel completely different
That boy wants to be a son of Sparda so bad..😂
For those who say the game's combat as not as deep as DMC's, I say you're right and that it would have been strange if you were wrong. Honestly, the director said it himself that even as is, he wasn't sure what the reception to this game was going to be. So at least with what I think is this game's success, you can expect deeper action-oriented combat systems going forward. Or at least with a sequel/spinoff/dlc if they do one.
This is a cool video! I love seeing stuff like this (and I’m also biased because you chose my favorite FF16 theme lol)
I will say though that I feel like Titans’ Windup skill is closer to Helter Skelter for Nero’s Devil Breakers.
I don't think it was flashier but definitely way better than the past installments, ff16 is my new favorite
FF16 needs the KH treatment in that they come out with like a Final Mix/Re:Mind cut of the game. Just make a shitton of hard bosses and add like 1 more node to each Eikon ring.
I finally understand why I’m liking 16 more than any other final fantasy.

I can't wait to play this on PC, god damn it! release it already!!!.

so anyone else figure out the stupidly broken like 100 hit combo in 16? its so satisficing to use.
basically when you stagger an enemy throw down lightning rod then use the defense orbs you get from ifrit that do damage as they spin around you and then once you cast that use dancing steel and you hit the enemy and lightning rod with both dancing steel and the orbs resulting in a fuck ton of hits. if you also throw in diamond dust before dancing steel you get the 1.50 damage multiplier on top of that. shit shreds health bars. best part is after the combo you can use level 5 zangetsu while they are still staggered. basically as soon as dancing steel ends you go into limit break and use the level 5 zangetsu you got from the entire combo. even managed to make it close enough that i can cast 1 level 5 zangetsu do the entire combo and cast another just in time for the stagger bar to finish. and even better is if you saved diamond dust you can basically throw them into another near stagger depending on the enemy. and thats only utilizing 4 out of the 6 skills you can have. want extra credit throw in level 4 megaflare on top of the dancing steel combo. can also use i think it is reime on top of the lightning rod too for more hits but i havent done so.
Yeah but thats a fucking lame playstyle

@@toukah4390it is always 720p in the combat
@@frosty6845 As commented above, the game uses DRS in performance mode, ranging from 1080p to 720p, though, only in the most demanding moments does the game drop that hard, In any case, it's better to upload a 4k video as RUclips's video compression adds a lot of macro-blocking to fast movement and particle effects, of which this game has a lot.
For better image clarity, playing in Resolution Mode (Dynamic 1440p-1080p reconstructed to 4k) would have been a better choice.
