Austin and Tim were both channeling Captain Jack Sparrow: Austin with his personality and Tim with the costume! Yes! Adam Rupp is a beatboxing and sound effects master! Chance and Rob also did a great job with their lead vocals! Those bass notes from Tim were earth-shattering!! Loved your reaction so, so much!! It was a blast!!
Did you notice that Tim is standing a boat? From comments I read on another reaction, the boat belongs to Chance but it's stored at Tim's brother-in-law's because Chance doesn't have room in his apartment. The comments said that they pulled the boat out & shot the video in the brother-in-law's backyard - with no explanation to the neighbors. LOL! I'd love to be one of their neighbors - imagine all the fun things you'd probably see. Enjoyed your reaction. (BTW, I think you'll really want to check out Austin's cover of "Ain't No Sunshine - and be sure to listen to his comments at the end.)

After hearing Home Free's "Sea Shanty Medley" I couldn't get the music out of my head, especially when driving and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Same holds true for their "Alvira" sung with the Oak Ridge boys. I listen to these 2 songs over and over and over, etc., etc., etc. and just can't sit still.

The note you were looking for near the end of Wellerman was a Bb1, but it was pretty well covered by everything else above it. If you listen very closely, Tim also dropped down to a Gb1 on the very last note. Hits you right in the soul.

Austin's musical theater background really came through on this one! Loved Tim's bass and Adam's beatboxing, especially the castanets! THey did a great job wrapping it up with clips from each song and taking it back to black and white.
I’m excited/scared to watch this. Excited because I love watching Maggie’s reactions to acapella, scared because she has crazy eyes in the thumbnail lol 😂
This was a great medley though I can't help wishing they'd do full versions of some of them. Adam doing the beatboxed castanets was awesome. I think sea shanties are great because basically anyone can sing them (though obviously not this well).

8:15 Maggie: "How do you even create that sound?!" I suggest stage-whispering "TICKA-TICKA-TICK!" to get the general idea. Then do it faster and faster, until the tongue bounces back and forth by its own momentum: "TK-H-TK-H-TK!"
Austin’s flamboyant exaggerations are what we all love about him. But I want to point out Adam and his rendition of the wood castanets instrument sounds in the Santina portion. They sounded spot on.
Love your energy. So much fun watching it with you. Love that you couldn't help singing along. That's the whole point of sea shanties. Do you know Stan Rogers at all? He died quite young, trying to save fellow passengers in a plane crash but he had the most amazing voice, and also does a version of Leave Her, Johnny.
Everything on sailing ships back in the day was done by hand and needed sometimes over a hundred men working together as one. Sea shanties grew because is was a way to keep time and also to 'give heart' and distract from what was often backbreaking work. For example on warships such as HMS Victory it required up to 144 men to raise the anchors. Often a 'fiddler' would sit atop the capstan to play a shanty for the men to work along to!
“Santianna” is about GENERAL SANTA ANNA. A high price for corn! LOL As a former swabbie I just want to say, "ANCHORS aweigh!" See, I did watch until the end. Grin!
Great HF sailing crew!! Loved Adams castanet sound!! He played trumpet in college! I wonder if he was doing triple tounging to help make castanet!? There are longer versions of these Shanties!! Fun trip into the high seas!!
Heard Austin give big props to the reactor community in Ain't No Sunshine? Awesome, heard your name! And wondered if you have heard Austin sing Bring Him Home from Les Mis with Home Free in a live show? Incredible. So broad his training and what he can do with his wonderful voice. And he is also hilarious!! Love Home Free so much! Thanks, take care.
@@maggiereneemusic Great, I'll be watching. Just watched Austin's brand-new one from yesterday and now it's my new favorite of his!!! lol. How can they keep getting better and better each one? Let's Stay Together. Maybe that's what you're going to be doing tonight. Thanks for the great reactions. I know Austin sure appreciates all you do! So do I. Take care.
Oh, now you have to see their cover of Rick Astley's 'Never Gonna Give You Up!' If you think Austin was 'extra' in this video... he dials it up to 21 in that one, it's hilarious. They're all hilarious, actually - they pay homage to all the styles and dances in the original video (with Tim also throwing in some iconic 'eighties shapes - he is quite the mover!)

If you ever want to hear more of Adam's beat boxing, look up Adam Rupp Drum Solo on RUclips. It's the first result, from like 5 years ago. It's absolutely nuts.

5:54 The one on the video, Santiana is a loosely historical-based shanty about the Mexican-american war and the mexican general Antonio López de Santa Anna. There is another version called Santiano, which is more focused on the gold fever on California during the Old West era.
Maggie I love you so much you're such a beautiful amazing sweet person you're awesome and you always make me smile you have the best personality and you're so adorable stay safe 💙
Wasn't that absolutely Great !!! Loved this so much, I had never even heard of a sea shanty, now I am hooked !! I am a true Home Free fan and an AustinFry forever , this group is just fantastic and so versatile and each one of them is truly talented. Thanks so much for this reaction, it was great fun. Would like to request "How Great Thou Art" from Home Free. Thanks so much.
I loved this! At first I was like sea shanty? What? Then I listened and loved it. Austin and Tim went full pirate mode. Tim’s bass was crazy good. Adam with the castanets was excellent. How does he do that? I only knew one song but this is just so good. Loved your review!

there's a RUclips video titled "22 times Tim Foust has gone into sub-woofer mode" where he hits f#1, and g# notes....also, "Adam Rupp drum solo" where other reaction say that he must have swallowed a drum kit.....
The song, Santiana, is on an album recorded in 1963 by a folk trio called the Highwaymen. I was in high school at that time and they were a favorite group of mine. I know nothing about the funky rasputin thing you were talking about. But I do know the Highwaymen recorded this song before any of you were born. As I am a died in the wool Home Fry, I will always watch any reactor doing the Home Free, Keep them coming Maggie Rene and I will watch you forever.
Loved getting to see this properly - time zones are such a pain. Somebody said the castanets sounded like something you'd do on a trumpet, which makes sense if you remember that Adam Rupp's degree is in trumpet performance. Looking forward to more from you on Saturday...
No way. Don’t know if they actually have a video for it but Home Free cover of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” Adam went above and beyond with the sound effects. Wow.

Great HF sailing crew!! Loved Adams castanet sound!! He played trumpet in college! I wonder if he was doing triple tounging to help make castanet!? There are longer versions of these Shanties!! Fun trip into the high seas!!
Thank you for your comment. Hope to see you in about 1 hour for my LIVE with more Austin?
Heard Austin give big props to the reactor community in Ain't No Sunshine? Awesome, heard your name! And wondered if you have heard Austin sing Bring Him Home from Les Mis with Home Free in a live show? Incredible. So broad his training and what he can do with his wonderful voice. And he is also hilarious!! Love Home Free so much! Thanks, take care.
Thank you for your comment. Hope to see you tonight for more Austin?
@@maggiereneemusic Great, I'll be watching. Just watched Austin's brand-new one from yesterday and now it's my new favorite of his!!! lol. How can they keep getting better and better each one? Let's Stay Together. Maybe that's what you're going to be doing tonight. Thanks for the great reactions. I know Austin sure appreciates all you do! So do I. Take care.
😍
Just found you! (via your Butts medly reaction) Luv your "extraness"😁. You got a new subscriber!
Welcome. 😊 Hope to see you TONIGHT: ruclips.net/video/Bzan_Nmd1wQ/видео.html
Thank you for your comment! 😁 Hope you will be at my new PTX Premiere of a reaction video tomorrow? Set your reminder and ring the bell for notifications. See you in the chats!

When they started singing Santiana I had to start searching for a song as well. Cause I played a lot of Dublin Fair when I was younger. Listen to Dublin Fair - Jamboree and you will understand :)
I like it when you have your moment

@@maggiereneemusic See you then! 😃 Can't wait!
🤩
If you ever want to hear more of Adam's beat boxing, look up Adam Rupp Drum Solo on RUclips. It's the first result, from like 5 years ago. It's absolutely nuts.
Tim always impresses when he drops the bottom out.

I love everything that Home Free does.
Okay, come on. I didn't want that to end!! I wanted more--lots more. Please give us more.
ive sung all of these and more while drinking with my Marines while in the Corps.
Waiting for Home Free !!!!
Hope you will join us in less than 1 hour for PTX LIVE Reaction on my channel?
@@maggiereneemusic Really love your reactions, I will be here for Austin and Home Free !!!! Maybe not quite a fan of PTX.
5:54 The one on the video, Santiana is a loosely historical-based shanty about the Mexican-american war and the mexican general Antonio López de Santa Anna.
There is another version called Santiano, which is more focused on the gold fever on California during the Old West era.
Thank you for your comment. Did you like my new reaction video to Juan Gabriel I just posted?
Maggie I love you so much you're such a beautiful amazing sweet person you're awesome and you always make me smile you have the best personality and you're so adorable stay safe 💙
Wasn't that absolutely Great !!! Loved this so much, I had never even heard of a sea shanty, now I am hooked !! I am a true Home Free fan and an AustinFry forever , this group is just fantastic and so versatile and each one of them is truly talented. Thanks so much for this reaction, it was great fun. Would like to request "How Great Thou Art" from Home Free. Thanks so much.
Thank you for your comment. Hope to see you tonight for more Austin?
This one cracked me up. Loved your reaction as always.
Thank you!! 😁 Hope to see you Saturday?
I loved this! At first I was like sea shanty? What? Then I listened and loved it. Austin and Tim went full pirate mode. Tim’s bass was crazy good. Adam with the castanets was excellent. How does he do that? I only knew one song but this is just so good. Loved your review!
Thank you for your comment. Hope to see you tonight for more Austin?
That bass at 8:01! Sounded like Tim dipped into subharmonics.
Thank you for your comment! 😁 Hope you will be at my new PTX Premiere of a reaction video tomorrow? Set your reminder and ring the bell for notifications. See you in the chats!
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
Finally someone comments on Tims Lows on this song Ty Ty Ty!
there's a RUclips video titled "22 times Tim Foust has gone into sub-woofer mode" where he hits f#1, and g# notes....also, "Adam Rupp drum solo" where other reaction say that he must have swallowed a drum kit.....
Great reax!!! Such a fun medley! ⚓
Thank you for your lovely comment and for watching my video until the end. I appreciate it. 😁💖⚓️Hope to see you Saturday?
The song, Santiana, is on an album recorded in 1963 by a folk trio called the Highwaymen. I was in high school at that time and they were a favorite group of mine. I know nothing about the funky rasputin thing you were talking about. But I do know the Highwaymen recorded this song before any of you were born. As I am a died in the wool Home Fry, I will always watch any reactor doing the Home Free, Keep them coming Maggie Rene and I will watch you forever.
Thank you for your comment. Hope to see you later today for more Austin?
I can tell you how he did those castanets: VERY WELL! :)
To me, Austin's Fingers and Hand movements were meant to mimic Captain Jack Sparrow. And well done I might add. I loved this Post.
Thank you for your comment. Hope to see you tonight for more Austin?
Loved getting to see this properly - time zones are such a pain. Somebody said the castanets sounded like something you'd do on a trumpet, which makes sense if you remember that Adam Rupp's degree is in trumpet performance. Looking forward to more from you on Saturday...
Thank you for your comment. Hope to see you in 2 hours for my LIVE?
Me the whole time:🎙😄
(I was also doing the pirate arm the whole time😂)
I have been listen to this ones a day since it came out at least.
Loved watching your joy and delight.
Thank you for your lovely comment. Hope to see you on my LIVE tonight?
5:09, “Let’s step on the gas and go quicker, shall we?”
Again each one is at their own homes which is in different states. They have so much fun.
Looks like someone is in love with HOME FREE ... LOL ... good taste .
No way. Don’t know if they actually have a video for it but Home Free cover of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” Adam went above and beyond with the sound effects. Wow.
Thank you for your comment. Did you like the new reaction video I just posted to Geoff? Also, hope to see you tomorrow on our live stream: www.twitch.tv/MaggieReneeMusic?
I don't know if I should be envious of you or not...⚓
You have had Austin in your channel. But I have been to TWO concerts of Home Free so... 😁🤩
Also have a picture of me with all of them. Tim holding his arm around my shoulder. 🥰😍🤩🤪 (this was before all the craziness in the world the last European tour.)
Could you please react to Jeffrey East, he's a friend of the guys in Home Free. He was their support act in their 2017 European tour. He have a beautiful voice and he's a fantastic songwriter, I'm speciellt fond of: Still Crazy, Retro and Roller rink.
Tim Foust also think Jeffrey East is an outstanding musician.
And you are one, no I think the best Home Free "reactioneer" on RUclips👍😀 Always looking forward to your Home Free videos, and wish you would do at least once a week. 😁😜🤷🏼♀️
YAY! Thank you for your lovely comment and for watching my video until the end. I appreciate it. 😁💖⚓️Hope to see you Saturday?
In 2:20, it's a Bb1 I think
Yes. It's an inverted chord. It's the g minor over the b flat.
