In Russia, noblemen wore beards and it was a very sacred tradition, while Peter was a travelling he learned that in other countries only peasants wore beards so when he went home he made it illegal for the nobility to wear them, ( unless they paid a tax) so that’s what that’s about lol.

In one of the international news that I read in the papers about a month or so ago, there was one news about "The possibility of East Germany taking over West Germany in regards to economics, some time in the future." For me, this proofs that while Germany is united as a Federation, there is still a distinct difference between West Germany and East Germany, on more things than just economics.
