    1. THE PLACE AT CORKSCREW
The first community we are going to take a look at is The Place at Corkscrew located off of… You guessed it… Corkscrew Road. It’s about 9 miles from the main highway I-75, making it quite a bit inland from the ocean, but with no traffic would only be about 25-30 minutes to the nearest beach. Since it’s more inland, it’s in a much lower risk flood zone and it suffered very little damages from the most recent storm, Hurricane Ian. Additionally, the oldest homes in this community were constructed in 2018 so they are structurally sound and can withstand severe storms.
    2. PELICAN SOUND
Pelican Sound is a bundled golf community where the HOA dues include golf privileges. Bundled golf courses are very desirable for avid golfers as they are the least expensive way to golf and a great way to meet other members that live in the community. Pelican Sounds features 27 holes as well.
The best feature of this community is the fact it is located right on the Estero River. Members of the community can store their boats and launch their boats in the Estero river without ever leaving the community.
    3. WEST BAY CLUB
West Bay has one of the best golf courses in the area designed by Pete Dye, an 12,000 sq foot clubhouse, resort style pool, fitness center, games room, and members can enjoy the Beach Club located off of Little Hickory Island just a few miles away.
This community also has 8 clay tennis courts with a pro shop and pavilion and offers multiples leagues for varying levels. There are also 4 pickleball courts, bocce, horseshoes, and 2 dog parks.
All 3 of these communities are within 20 minutes of the Southwest Florida RSW International Airport which is a huge bonus.
If you are interested in getting more information on any of these three communities or are interested in more communities in Estero Florida, please reach out so I can help you find your dream home!

Stay away from The Place. Unless you like living with mines in your backyard. Maybe in a few years you’ll have significant damage from the daily blasts.
