Many Kudos to you for steering young people in the direction to help them reach their potential. I am an RN in the VA. I have tremendous respect for you.
Thank goodness I fetched and picked up all those tools for a bunch of old crust journeymen. Now I’m ready to swim 8 hours a day and run 60 miles a week
I think it is a good idea to go live life doing something before jumping in, even if you have what it takes to pass. I know a guy who went into the Army right after graduating High School, went through RASP, but got RFS’d. He’s now making his way back to getting his tab. I know for a fact that if I went when I graduated for that route I would’ve been chewed up and spat back out. I’m now taking my time, working and getting my shit together so I can do it properly.
I just turned 28 and I’ve been in construction since 18. Im a commercial/industrial electrician. Really wanna join the military but feel like I’m to old and I know you’re gonna say I’m to old.. any options?
I'm in a similar boat. Not gonna deny my age though, my spine doesn't love me like it used to, lol. Genuinely considering space force, it just sounds cool as hell, and I have a bit of a background in tech already.
Go get your hvac certificate….. go work for the port authority of New York and Jersey …. Friend is doing better than me with no college … he’s a boss there and does cash side jobs
Piss off 2 billion dollars later, no finished product and a shitload of setbacks, rework, and management problems. Yeah, go shovel shit... stay away from any shipyard....we need solid proud tradesworkers no more schmucks
