It's a joke that Nidoran-female can only mate while it's under-age. Whereas, if she was level 16 or higher, she'd be a Nidorina, and thus unable to produce eggs.
One word: Flygon. For whatever reason, the line is a singular Bug egg group. That means instead of being compatible to pseudo-legendaries and other dragons, you have to breed your Flygon to things like Butterfree or Scoliopede. Now I understand that Flygon is based on insects as well as dragons, but in that case why not make it compatible with both? Plenty of dual egg typed Pokemon exist, just like with combat typings. Back in Ruby/Sapphire when I evolved my first Flygon, a female, I drove myself crazy trying to breed it with every dragon I could think of before I finally got my guide out and realized that a male Dustox was the only thing I happened to have that was compatible with it (the descendants of that uh, interesting union still survive in my X version to this day.) To me this will always be more of a memorable problem then things like Skitty/Wailord only because it's actually frustrating if you don't know any better.
My favorite breeding trick: Get a female Salamence/Shellgon, and a male Gyarados which knows Hydro Pump. Breed the two. Bam, Bagon which knows Hydro pump.
I like to imagine that its a 6-headed creature that resembles eggs rather than crying myself to sleep imagining the horrors that occur to make 6 eggs inside another egg.
No, he didn't actually say that in the video; I'm saying that, because the man outside tells you that your two Pokemon don't really like each other. However, they can still produce an egg. So that begs the question, are they breeding just so they can get away from each other already? Because that's kinda funny.
Here is how to breed in X and Y: 1. Put a Ditto and a pokemon of your choice in the day care. 2. After about 5 minutes, you will get an egg. 3. While holding the egg, walk, bike, or roller skate around prism tower. 4. Your egg will hatch, and you will get a level 1 version of the pokemon you put in the day care with ditto, except unevolved. 5. ????? 6. Profit.
Actually, it comes from the fact that the Nidoran line is based off of rhinos. A female rhino is nearly impossible to breed in captivity, and you have to catch a female Nidoran and put it in captivity to get a Nidoqueen.
This confirms my theory! You ever wonder how magiarp, the weakest pokeomon in existence, can survive and be so plentiful? Let me just say this, it can mate with many things and its eggs hatch very quickly. :)
0:32 In Sun/Moon the person you receive the egg from actually says, "I'm not quite sure where it came from, but they were holding this egg," or something to that effect.
Trevor: I just wanted to say we all was going to meet on Route 14 :D **3 months not playing the game** Me: **Arrives at Route 14** Trevor: You arrived very quickly! Me: Um.
Ditto cannot breed with Ditto. They never have been able to breed. Also, in HG/SS, there was an event that explained where eggs come from. If you got the event Arceus and brought it to the Unknown Ruins, you could go to the TohJo ruins, where Arceus would create either a Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina egg (your choice), sending it down from the sky. Also, in X/Y, there is an old man that actually says that eggs AREN'T actually eggs, they are more like containers or carriers. So in actuality, egg-shaped cases holding level 1 (or in the earlier games level 5) Pokémon are sent by Arceus (aka the Pokémon god) from the sky to the mother, where the Day-Care Man steals the "egg", confused as to where it came from, and gives it to you... unless you say "no", but who knows what happens then...
John B gen 1 didn't even have breeding in the first place. so only one generation out of the 5 that had breeding allowed you to breed dittos. that's not enough for you to say you can breed dittos in Pokémon games

Um, well, I think I broke my Pokémon X with the breeding mechanic xD. I put my Pansear and Pansage in the daycare (both male) and left them there for the continuation of the main story. After the main story, I have an egg. Not. Joking. At first, I had forgotten what Pokémon I had left in the daycare. I had thought one was female. But, no. It was my male Pansage and Male Pansear. When I realized they were both male, I started laughing so hard. I was like 'WTF!! GAY POKEMON EGG!' xD Strangely, though, the egg weirdly hatched an Eevee. The Eevee was male, though! xD. Gay pokemon egg xD
The reason why Nidorina and Nidoqueen can't breed is an "ascended glitch" from the Gen 2 games. Someone bungled the coding for breeding and the evolotions of Nidoran^GIRL can't breed as a result. This error was then kept in all subsequent games for consistency sake. Also, another fun breeding fact: In Gen 2 ONLY, Staryu has programmed Egg Moves despite being genderless and unable to breed with anything but Ditto. This likely means the Staryu line weren't originally going to be genderless Pokemon.
Here's some tips for ORAS breeders: -The daycare man will stay in the spot he's always in, but he will turn around when your two Pokémon lay an egg. -The Cosplay Pikachu, despite being a Pikachu, is in the undiscovered egg group, meaning it cannot breed at all. -The best way to get a Ditto in ORAS is to transfer from an earlier game or just trade, as the Mirage spots that are only where Ditto can be found in ORAS are incredibly specific and can take quite a while to find the right ones.
It would be the best day EVER for me it they invent a Pokemon game where you could breed all Pokemon even if they are different and get the mixed up version of it when the egg it makes hatches and you could actually use it!!!
In fact, large mammals have small sexual organs in proportion to the rest of your body. So it may be very common in the Pokemon Day Care hear the laughter of female Skittys and the screams of Wailord: "I was in the pool !!" I think that Kangaskhan need a pre-evolution (an official, Cubone or Missingno do not count).
I remember just the other month in my Pokemon X version I received and egg that was super close to hatching just shortly after receiving it from the day care. I just went in and checked the egg's summary and it said "Sounds can be heard inside! This egg will hatch soon!" I left my male Zoroark i captured in the day care with my Ditto and that's how I got my soon to hatch egg! And I got a female Zorua from the egg! The female ratio for getting a female Zorua is pretty slim. Only 12.5% chance of getting a female. AND I GOT 1!!! :D
Sorry. But when you say Brock Mode, I don't think of the anime rather an abridged series where Brock, Misty, and Ash are outcast and abandon by their families.

I bred two magicarp (one named MEW and the other mew) and got a level 100 golbat.... I tried to do it again, but I think it was a glitch. I was trying to get a MEW!!! :(
No, I'm serious. I did that because of something a website suggested. I thought it would be crap, really. I couldn't do it again though and my game messed up when I would go to the computer and check the mail part. As for the spelling/pronunciation... as long as you understood me, who cares?
The old Silver game. I guess I played it so long that it acted nuts. I also had a shiny Furret on that save before I bought the new Silver and the chip battery died.
wombo gamer just ignore her ;). I'll be the good guy and explain. The only thing you can do is wait it out, there will be female ones, but this situation you're experiencing has to do with the gender ratio of pokemon. each pokemon has a gender ratio. most of them have 50% chance of being a male, or 50% of being a female. 1 exception is Kanghaskhan, who will always be a female. You want a female torchic, the thing with starters, is that since Generation 6, their gender ratio is nerfed according to females. Starter offsprings will be 87,5% Male, and 12,5% of the time female. This makes breeding starters quite frustrating, but when you get there, it will be rewarding! and this comes from a guy who has bred: Mudkip, Totodile, Chimchar, Piplup, Cyndaquil, Snivy and Tepig. So I absolutely know what you're going through haha. Good luck!
You should do an in-depth guide on passing egg moves, and especially, chain breeding. I've struggled past several years on trying to chain breed multiple egg moves on pokemon, but I just can't figure it out. Tried to search info and tried pretty much every trick in the book - but always end up with one or the other move, instead of both moves I want.
Here's a tip; breed any female in the galarian Zigzagoon line with a male Thwacky or Rillaboom with Knock Off, and you get a Zigzagoon with Knock Off 👌
Thx for sharing this!!! My problem is solved!! I really love eevee so I keep putting my female eevee and every male pokemons I had in the day care and there were no eggs!!After watching this, I kept cycling to increase the number of steps and immediately got two eggs!!!!

Eevee has a 12.5% chance of being female, so good luck with getting a female Eevee. Same goes for starters.
That's why I have only one female Sylveon on pokemon X.
yeah on heartgold i kept getting a female cyndaquil when i wanted a male, when i got a male it was the wrong nature i wanted...

*Why?
i got an army of lapras from breeding 24/7.......
I bred two magicarp (one named MEW and the other mew) and got a level 100 golbat.... I tried to do it again, but I think it was a glitch. I was trying to get a MEW!!! :(
It doesn't work like that. Also, it's MagiKARP, not MagiCARP. Magicarp is pronounced magisarp.
No, I'm serious. I did that because of something a website suggested. I thought it would be crap, really. I couldn't do it again though and my game messed up when I would go to the computer and check the mail part.
As for the spelling/pronunciation... as long as you understood me, who cares?
What Game?
The old Silver game. I guess I played it so long that it acted nuts. I also had a shiny Furret on that save before I bought the new Silver and the chip battery died.
mlbauder2
more like megiCRAP
Thanks JWittz! This really helped me in Heart Gold on my DS! I have 2 eggs already.
Your the best!
IT BREAKS YOUR BRAIN XD
You think this is complicated...you should learn the technicalities of human breeding...
HEY GUYS DID YOU KNOW THAT IN TERMS OF MALE HUMAN AND FEMALE POKEMON BREEDING VAPOREON IS THE MOST COMPATIBLE POKEMON FOR HUMANS!!!
Wh-what
Wow that flame body thing was news to me. This is why I watch Jwittz.
I am breeding a male torchic and with a ditto it is always male and I need a female
I laugh at you
Marie Elador so do you even know what I kneed or are you going to be annoying

just ignore her ;). Good luck!
NintenGuido thank you so much this really helped
wombo gamer
you're welcome! actually forgot to put chikorita on that list haha. what to say, gotta love starters :)
ditto is.....very mess up pokemon
I just got on my ipod4 for the first time in 2weeks and it said ipod disabled for 516 years. O.o
You should do an in-depth guide on passing egg moves, and especially, chain breeding. I've struggled past several years on trying to chain breed multiple egg moves on pokemon, but I just can't figure it out. Tried to search info and tried pretty much every trick in the book
- but always end up with one or the other move, instead of both moves I want.
Then I'm just in Pokemon x with a bulbasaur and charmander in the daycare and then BAM! Egg. I'm so confused on how that would work
...
I've run into 15 male Skarmory and not a single female. I just want to make a Haibane Renmei pokemon crew .n.
+JonesyMcDanes 5% female rate, 95% male
+JonesyMcDanes i can give you one :)
I feel like I'm missing something... How is Skarmory related to Haibane Renmei?
RoboPup L because I assigned a pokemon to each character....
Ah. Fair enough I suppose.
diglet + whalelord = ??? oh wait! if the whalelord is a woman, then a male DICKlet will make some magic... ;)
Here's a tip; breed any female in the galarian Zigzagoon line with a male Thwacky or Rillaboom with Knock Off, and you get a Zigzagoon with Knock Off 👌
I wonder how breeding fusions would be..
i named my dito sex slave
How about top ten ugliest pokemon
He "kinda" already did. Check out his Top 10 Worst Pokemon.
