Cosplay Thrusters! Blast away with my latest system powered by a simple can of air duster!
No messing around with CO2 or N2O, no clumsy refilling of tanks, just screw on a can of air duster with my unique included clip/screw system and you are ready to go.
(clip system and valve mechanics not shown to protect from copying)
Switching a empty can for a full one can be done in under 20 seconds and explained in the manual.
1 standard (400ml) can will last a total thrust time of 1 minute and 10 seconds, this can be prolonged with a regulator found in the addon pack, less thrust for more time, or screw on a larger can like an 750ml one.
Perfect for cosplays/suits like Iron Man, Master chief, Mandalorians, Rocketeers and many many more.
watch more videos or order it from our website:
waynesworkshop...
can be upgraded with our Thruster led addon for colored thrust effects!
or our splitter pack so you can have more then 1 thrust exit point!
Cosplay thruster base unit comes with:
Cosplay thruster base unit (momentary switch or remote).
8x AA battery pack with dc jack- 2 meter of PTFE tube.
Connector for the Thruster Led addon.
manual on/off safety valve to be placed anywhere in your cosplay (see instructions for info upon purchase).
2 x Wayne's Workshop unique duster can adapter system
Instruction manual/video.
Please note:
-Fits most commercially available cans of airduster, both non-flammable and flammable versions.
-Corrosion-resistant internals (flammable airduster variants can contain corrosive materials).
-Non-flammabale air duster is recommended, if not available in your area and you use flammable airduster, keep away from glowing objects and open flames.
-Keep and install device always as pictured above, the can needs to be on top but flipped facing downwards, otherwise the visual aspect of it will not work.
-When done using Cosplay Thruster, unscrew can of airduster before storing away.
-Airduster cans not included, pressurized cans are prohibited from shipping (through air)
that is so good man. I am making a godzilla costume and this might be a nice addition to it.
Geil 👍👍👍
I would start a cosplay just to use one of these.
Dude! This is awesome! Gotta cut my budget in other places to come up with money to buy one!
Hype track is hype man
Ordering two right now, this looks insane !
you can do that, but 1 can also be split with the splitter pack, the mando in the final scenes of the vid is an example of 1 unit split in 2
Ever use these for muzzle effects?
I was thinking about pulsing it with LED effects. There seems to be some dissipation, could be neat for photos at least.
Or maybe in staccato extended bursts and weird colors, like halo plasma/needle rifles etc?
Really want to figure out how to make elemental spell effects with this!
Yo wayne, is there any way i can buy plans to MAKE a set of these instead of the final product? Really looking to learn to diy EVERYTHING I can.
Nope, that would mean sharing designs / stl's that are needed for the whole thing to work, and we worked too long and hard on this for that ;)
I see many place advise that Air duster is pretty toxic to use, you have any recommend on what type of air spray to use safely ?
Basically all air dusters aren't "safe" - they don't contain air, it's a refrigerant and usually a hydrocarbon propellant, so a few are quite flammable (I'm not suggesting you use this information to add... let's say a bic lighter to the end of the flexible tube, resulting in an easy to control short range flame thrower... but you could...). In closed / confined spaces they really shouldn't be used all that much as they could suffocate / intoxicate, but they also tend to have bittering agents added to them, so anyone in such a scenario will not voluntarily hang around. Unless you're in an elevator dumping full cans of the stuff, you'd be fine.
I want to make my own but have no idea how to get the can to spray while I hold a button down and stop spraying when I release the button. Any help?
You do realize why I designed and sell a product right?
@@Costronica Well, I don't have that kind of money to spend. That's why I was asking for help because someone may know how to do something like that. I know how to build it, it's just knowing how to get it to spray while the button is held down and not spray when it's not is what I am stuck on. So it's more an electronics issue. I saw a guy do the same exact thing but using water hydraulics but I was wanting to go an electronics route.
@@Costronica Wait, nvm. I figured it out lol. Just had to do a little more research. I want to make it myself not only because of money but also because I just like creating things.
@@bagenius5970 I understand the maker side of it, just understand my side of it 😉 I've had people beg and nag me for the entire product breakdown (and even trashing me in fb groups about it) so I'm always a bit on the fence about it.
You can defo make it yourself cheaper if you have the proper know how, this however is intended for sales so I set it out to be 100% safe and dummy proof.
@@Costronica Yeah, I understand lol. Isn't that part of creating, though? We get to run into the dummy issues and basically be Tony Stark (fly into a wall, land on our car, the icing problem). I can't really tell EXACTLY how your's works but with research and thinking, I've figured out a way that I can make it work, even down to the coding for the momentary switches and the servos.
I love this! I currently have my Mandalorian build and have a jetpack and flamethrower. Seriously considering this with a switcher to switch between the pack and have the flamethrower come out my gauntlet. Interested in the maker aspect of this as I know you probably did a ton of research to make this. Gotta scratch up enough dough though to buy the kit. Impressive work!
thanks man, i pretty much dedicated entire 2019 and part of 2020 to make it as easy and user friendly for everybody, even if one would have 0 knowledge with electronics. they are still on sale for the rest of the month, with the proper attachments you can switch between all the ports if ya wanted to, in the video you can see the mando where one of my prototype units went into, his ig handle is holtsclaw props if ya want to see more examples of this system in a mando.
Need 2. Ordering now!
you can do that, but 1 can also be split with the splitter pack, the mando in the final scenes of the vid is an example of 1 unit split in 2
@@Costronica I knew it...was going to message you on FB to confirm this could be done but as always, you got my back! Much appreciated. Ordering with confidence now!
@@COA5T appreciate the returning business from you, thanks for the trust man :D
Hmmm guess I'll have to see if I can hide some in my next cosplay... Doing one from Avatar, I'm sure they could make for some good firebending if you only do short bursts
Skyjessi maybe you could hide one when strapped against your lower back
@@dankyducky3161 yeah, that seems like the best place
@@Skyjessi yeah you could hide it practicly anywhere and guide the effect with the included 2 meters of ptfe tube to a point of your choosing :D
Do you still make these ?
i do, over on my website Costronica.com
awesomeeeee
Technically they are real thrusters, just very weak. They're also really badass!
How long would a can last if on continuous?
1 minute and 10 seconds, you can find a video of this test on my instagram
thats with a standard 400ml can, but big 750ml can also fits
@@Costronica Thank you for very quick reply. Will other makes of 'duster spray' fit? it appears this screws fits?
@@puddleraker2598 any can fits with my unique clip on system for any duster aerosol can
Aww sad there’s no white led add on😭
its on its way but has not arrived yet, sorry buddy, it will be added though!
So
That's like a really big e-cigarette
No, not even close, there isn't even a single ecig or vape component in there 🤨
It's just a joke about the little smoke accessory you made a while ago mate, I see the engineering and designing that went into it
@@pixel_vengeur391 the line gets blurred when i see vape comments all the time, some serious, some in good fun ;)
Thanks :)
