I swear to god i tried my best to learn what an order block was in day 6 on ict 2022 trying to learn. Im actually learning but havet gotten to ordet block until right now lol.
For any of you wondering what he means by "displacement", he actually means a COMPLETE CANDLE: wicks, open and close outside of a specific candle's FULL BODY (either up or down). Simply saying "displacement" can be extremely confusing because it can mean simply a candle's close outside of a specified area. At 5:45 he states "we want to see displacement up into this area before returning to the FVG and order block". He's actually saying "a full body Outside and Above the OB+ area/line/marker, etc. Hope this helps anyone who was as confused as I was at first.
The real ICT does it fast enough so you are good enough, you can't rush it. it's shame these people like this guy are ripping of ICT and saying they can do it faster. ICT is aware of these videos and he just did a video about it that anyone watching these are really selling themselves short and i agree with him it real is not how it should be taught.

ICT is probably by far the most practical TA for futures (and of course other instruments as well) trading. You are by far the best source of training on ICT. My retirement depends on it. LOL. Biggest Takeaways: look for sweeps and from there current OB. From here you can use OB’s and CISD in confluence with FVG. Ultimately if you have a bias and can understand these key points you’ll be just fine as a beginner

My question i guess is tied with an assumption. my assumption is that institutional traders are forming theses order blocks wile observing a specific time frame. i would think that they possibly even rotate time frames and even form blocks on multiple time frames. my question is is there a king time frame that works the best to look for order block. i can see why this question can be a tuff one to answer as well since different interments are traded by institution differently. lets just take the spy as an example, if you was to look for order blocks on the spy, what time frame would you start with. and lastly what time frame is this video representing. thank you so much for your reply i appreciate you.
i wouldn’t say there is a king time frame. it’s all relative to the higher time frame PD array which starts the buy or sell program and then orderblocks on the lower time frame is respected. for example. hourly pd array and m5 OB

Would you say order blocks are only applicabale if before liq. sweep candle we have some sort of consolidation. What I have realized if we have straight price down, or up basically series of red/green candles which signifies imbalance price tends to fill that and Order block theory isn't applicable. O.B only works if we have consolidation followed by failed liq. sweep candle.
2:58 that is not a "break" in the structure, only count as a market structure shift, if the price is going higher or lower than the previews impulse, and to an impulse be valid needs to create a new lower low or higher high, in this case the price does a shift but till 3:35
What about a scenario where the liquidity is swept by a long wick? How to define the OB? Sometimes there’s also a full bodied candle first that takes the liquidity but then a long wicked one comes after it too and takes the liquidity of the first one. Which one is OB?

In this video you stated that there has to be a sweep of liquidity and a break of structure before an order block is valid and I just watched your second video and you said that once liquidity has been swept and there's a close above or below the candle or series of candle responsible for the sweep then it validates the order block and you didn't mention anything about break of structure on the second video as a criteria for validating an order block so which one should I take
i remember writing in my notes, nearly at the end of the 2022 mentorship, "WTF IS AN ORDERBLOCK" and it finally clicked after tape reading for months.

In this video you stated that there has to be a sweep of liquidity and a break of structure before an order block is valid and I just watched your second video and you said that once liquidity has been swept and there's a close above or below the candle or series of candle responsible for the sweep then it validates the order block and you didn't mention anything about break of structure on the second video as a criteria for validating an order block so which one should I take
