- This video is showing how to service the well known Rockshox Reba fork. This is the same as the Recon, so you can follow these steps if you are using that one. The model is from 2014. If you want to check the fabrication year of yours, skip to 05:04 where I'm showing how to check it.
Website to check the amount of oil your fork needs: biketechtools.com/forks/oil-v...
The process is simple, don't need much experience to do it, but I recommend to watch the full video (at 1.5speed if you want) to see all the steps before trying to start by your own.

Did you know that the recommended service intervals are between 50-100 hours of usage? When did you make your last fork service?
This is a relatively short process, you can learn to do it by yourself so in the long run it will save you some money. My recommendation is to do it at least two times a year, once after winter around march/april, and one before winter like in october or november.
Very nice video. Could you please make an additional video showing the detailed maintenance that should be carried out every 2-3 years ?
i realised i have not make fork service for 2 years. i have a rockshox Reba. thanks for the video, it is easy to do at home.
a video on changing all the seals would be nice, or any other maintenance needed for this forks would be nice.
🚀
Great work. Thank you!
I'm glad it was useful.
@@EatBuildRideRepair yes I had several rock shox to service. It gets quicker each time but i was wondering if it was necessary already as the oil looked quite clean... And those bikes have not been serviced for years and used frequently. My bike in specific has been used half of the year daily and in dusty terrain. Still it looked quite good. I think in the end what does the most is the entry part of the feather which runs dry after some time... The rest can take a lot more.
Hi i lost the rear nut from the wheel hub from a zesty 329 and am having difficulty finding a replacement are you aware of where i can get one
Can you also use the 'RockShox High Performance Suspension Fluid 0W-30' for this job?
The recommended 15WT oil should be used for the best performance.
Thanks! But is it harmfull to use the other one? It's only 5 ml.@@EatBuildRideRepair

Where do you put the oil? Inside the rod or just around the body of the fork?
You just need oil in the lower leg of the fork, so like in the video put it through the bottom holes, where the two screws comes afterwards.
@@EatBuildRideRepair got it! Somehow I was thinking you put it inside the rod
