    The crazy thing about Judge is that he was one of the unluckiest hitters in baseball last year if you look at the stat cast batted ball data, and he still put up on OPS over 1.000. Dude is an absolute freak

    Marc, please do some research before you say someone is a "product of Coors". Doyle's OPS was over 50 points higher on the road, and he hit .261 with a .752 OPS in September after making swing adjustments. He also has the hardest recorded outfield throw in history

      While I don’t typically agree with Marc all the time, and I don’t think Nimmo has more talent than Harris, he did outperform the latter. I can’t argue about the placement. Literally Judge being considered a CF is the only reason Harris and the rest of the guys got bumped down. Harris will be a Top 2-3 CF for most of his career. He’s only 22. He’s not even at his peak yet.

      I think at this moment in time, Nimmo over Harris makes sense, but I think the ceiling is higher for Harris. In a year or two, he could break out and hit 30HR with an OPS over 900. He's still so young and has a lot of development ahead of him.

    • @wingracer1614
      @wingracer1614 8 месяцев назад

      @@bobataco210 True but Harris had a couple small injuries followed by a massive slump to start the year. I'm not sure how to look it up so I could be wrong but I bet if you compare from the point just after Harris got pinch hit for in a close game, he stomped Nimmo statistically after that. That moment not only won the Braves the game, it lit a serious fire under his ass, LOL
      I have a feeling Harris is going to have a monster year though it will be interesting to see. I suspect they are going to move him up in the order so he will no longer have Acuña hitting behind him. That could drop his stats a bit instead.

    Michael Harris II or Nimmo?!?!
    Harris II had back and knee injuries which had something to do with him hitting .174 with just 2 home runs, a 45 wRC+, and .526 OPS through his first 34 games.
    From June on he was one of the best hitters in baseball, slashing .326/.352/.535 with a 136wRC+ and .887 OPS to go along with 16 home runs.
    His barrel%, exit velocity, max exit velocity, and HardHit% all remained very strong in 2023 compared to 2022. His HardHit% actually went up over 3 percent. Also unlucky as well because only 17 of his 41 barreled baseballs left the yard

    Yankees fan here... I would love to see the Mariners grab Bellinger. Of course they won't because that would require spending money. Something the most profitable team in MLB does not want to do. I loved seeing Cody bounce back! Wouldn't mind seeing him in pinstripes but he will cost too much for the bombers. Especially if we land YOSHINOBU and come to terms with SOTO and a long term deal 😯 the thought of all that money scares me!!! I think Soto is going to have a monster year too!! Stanton will have a bounce back year too, now that he finally realized this off season to calm down with the weights like Judge did a few years ago.

    Thanks for putting some respect on Suwinski's name. I get he's a lower average bat, but I'm constantly arguing with Pirates fans who think he's not a starter. Near 30 HR's with a good on base plays on nearly any team. His problem is that he looks at a lot of called third strikes, he has a pretty good approach at the plate and if he starts swinging at some of those, his numbers can take off further.

    As a Twins’ fan, putting Buxton in the Top 10 is criminal. Realistically, I’d put him around 13-15 range, for the simple fact that, he will NEVER be available for 100 games, and probably not even half the season. Too unrealistic of an expectation for Buxton to be healthy, and for what its worth, I just wish the Twins would get rid of him already.

    ceddy seemed like he was holding back this year. when he came back from his groin injury you could tell he was trying not to overexert himself. i think he’s capable of a lot more than what he showed this year.

    I'm sorry. Orioles fan here. I think most, if not all of your O's rankings have been accurate or at least understandable to this point. Let's even call some generous for where these players are in their career...... However, I am deeply offended by the Cedric Mullens ranking. CF rankings defensively are so important, and he has set a new standard for making incredible plays look routine out there. And idk what the standard metric is for "hits/RBI's in the clutch", but I'd be wiling to bet Mullins is top 5 in that category for CFs. Cedric Mullins is a star, please treat him as such.

    Leody Taveras is definitely one of the more league average players for the Rangers, solid defensively, decent at the plate, he did hit that home run off of Justin Verlander in game 1 of the ALCS that ended up being the winning run for the Rangers in that game but he didn’t get a hit in the World Series although he did get some walks that ended up being huge. With Wyatt Langford coming up soon Evan Carter will probably be playing center field most of the time and Taveas will probably be more of a backup role but still solid.

    Harris>Nimmo. obviously you have a Mets bias and a Braves hate bias so I get it, but Harris and Nimmo are on the same level of hitting imo while Harris is significantly better defensively. Nimmo is an above average defender, but Harris is absolutely ridiculous defensively. he's also significantly better on the base paths which I find to be an important stat specifically for CF's.
