Looking for Champions Cup Round 2 coverage? Weather delayed our cards yesterday, with MPO unable to complete the second round. We’re filming MPO Round 2 this morning, followed by FPO Round 3 and then MPO Round 3. We’ll do our best to get the coverage up as soon as possible!
would ya Just look at this!! Answered my?? Before I even asked. Jomez is not only the best coverage and commentary they're proactive as a mfer..You know ill wait for you baby!!
Love to see Uli on the leaderboard. I've been seeing his name up there almost every tourny, he has been killing it. That win is coming man, keep crushing it!! Love the content guys, thanks for all you do!
@@Kastled5 I meant his first elite series tournament win, not necessarily this tournament. Although, at this course, anything is possible, esp with the right attitude and some good play
@@Haganbodkins ironically the first time I threw mine it also hit a tree, but didn’t kick into any water. I knew though that I would like to Disc. I just released it a little early.
11:10 Jerm your stat about last year with anthony barela getting the birdie on hole 12 both rounds last year at ledgestone was incorrect. The person that did it last year believe was Ricky Wysocki. Craziness. AB has still had crazy success on that hole though.
Great coverage on this very tight course. Always love the commentary. The camera crew, the video editors, but people who make these videos possible, you are the real MVP. Thank you for all the work you put into this.
Eagle you did great today my guy . First time back . It was rough out there. The back pocket sticking out nobody telling you .. I love ya bro . IL respect to you live here
Good job and getting out there and just playing. Removes his nerves tests some of rusty throws. Now he knows he can’t play any worse than this for the rest of the year
Remember that Eagle has had almost zero experience with MVP discs at low elevation. I’m excited to see him next season after he has more time to get back to full health and practice with the new bag.
Somehow Jerm and Uli simultaneously seem both really baked and like they have never tried drugs in their life. Can never figure out which it is but I love them either way ❤
Whenever I stop getting JoMez coverage for free from the RUclips feed, I would pay Sunday ticket prices, to get full season coverage from Nate, Jerm, and Uli! Make this comment seen
At 41:05 if AB had actually been under the bridge, couldn't he throw from on top of the bridge based on rule 802.05 ("A playing surface may exist above or below another playing surface")? Or has that bridge been declared to not be a playing surface?
I would read that rule as being the bridge and ground beneath are both playing surfaces, but you play from the one your disc lands on. So if he can get under it, he plays from under it. But if he landed up top he’s on the top surface.
Hole 12 is so bad I turned to my wife yesterday watching the live coverage and said "everyone is starting this tournament 4 over par". She had no idea what I meant and didn't care but I think the point stands.
@BHDIjiin Yea, I did that, but with all the nice scenery we see in disk golf, 1080p doesn't cut it for me. A good portion of their videos are drone footage, and 4k is pretty much par these days for drones. I'm just saying, there's a lot of details you don't realize you're missing out on. All because the cameras are in the wrong settings... If this footage was recorded in 2160p at 60 frames per second, which is standard these days, the difference would be exponential. Quality of quantity, in my opinion, but whatever floats your boat.
@@ForrestGumpWR don't get me wrong, i'd absolutely love to see 4k60. I watch these videos on a 85" inch tv so that would be amazing. But given that this is day after coverage the compute power to just edit all the raw footage and get it uploaded is probably a tall order to do in a mobile editing station like i imagine they use when on the road. My point was just that the lift from their current bitrate to double or triple would lift the quality significantly.
@BHDIjiin 85" Wow, that's nice. I agree with you because it's amazing they are able to edit and upload these videos so as fast for us. It's impressive and I commend them for that. I just wish they gave us at least 1440p like many RUclipsrs do, especially because of the natural scenery. I hope one day you can watch JomezPro in 4k at 60 fps on your big tv 📺 That would look amazing!
I haven't played hole 12, I've never seen it in person, but to me it seems like it would be the percet par 5 on a pro tour course if the first shot wouldn't have to contend with so many trees. If that shot was slightly easier or less luck reliant the rest of the hole seems somewhat fair for pro players. From the perfectly placed first shot it definately looks like a really hard par 4 and it's fine for me.
I love seeing the best players in the world be challenged by the course. It makes possible special shots like AB's second shot on 14 that just boggles the mind. Nobody wants to watch hyzer-fests at ball golf courses. This is probably my favorite course I've ever seen pros play on- challenging and skill based.
This course is in Beautiful, Morton, Illinois. We’re so excited that everyone is enjoying it and that it is televised. Even if you can’t play the course it’s a beautiful course to hike.
This course is a million billion times better than a golf course turned disc golf course that just showcases 600 foot bomber arms. This is real disc golf.
This is a proper major course, incredibly difficult, shows its teeth and who's really the top player currently. 2 lucky/wonder rounds does not cut it at this event i do not think. Gotta stay on top form all 4 rounds to be eligeble to win.
This course is extremely challenging, I get it. Many other are a bit too scoreable. Somewhere in between would be nice. A 'Funny Finn', huh? Niklas: "What, I'm funny? Am I a clown to you? How am I funny? You said it..." [Niklas Pesci? who's down?]
I don't know if anybody feels the same but every year in the season when Northwood Black rolls around i can not help but feel that this course really is not fun to watch. I want to see the pros do their pro thing. But this... mostly looks like my sorry ass is playing there. hitting trees left and right, early and late releases, missing putts from 5 meters. Don't get me wrong, i know that i would not stand a chance on that course and probably shoot a +100 and even a score like Eagles in this round is a testament to his incredible skill. But if a course is so damn hard that it looks like the most skilled players in the sport play like bloody amateurs that just does not make for a fun watch in my opinion. And it feels like even the players are not enjoying themselves due to the unfair nature of the course and that translates through the screen. Big props to every player out there who commits themselves to this prolonged weekend of torture.
That was literally my first ever tournament 5 on the hole! If you haven't played the hole you just can't appreciate the difficulty of the hole... It's a true par 6 if you go by the traditional logic of number of throws it takes to get to the putting green + 2 putts and it takes 4 precise throws to get to the green. You do the math.
To add to that, I don't want the sport to a pitch and putt, never said that and I never would. I appreciate clever, challenging course design that rewards great shots and punishes poor ones. In golf, proper execution results in birdies, I didn't make that up. Disc golf should be no different.
Here’s a question for you ratings geeks out there. What would the rating have been today if a player had gone -18? I would imagine it would be the highest ever rated round, but how high?

Looks like a course where the average thrower shoots +70
Maybe not that high but it’s not uncommon to see +30 to +40 for 850ish rated players
This is quite an accurate representation of a Finnish disc golf experience. Only needs some slush, rain and wind

so excited to see Casey on lead coverage!
I can't wait to watch Casey play... hopefully he keeps the pace.
Zero mention about Vinny apparently birdieing every hole from 13-18 to go from +4 to -2 and being top 10?
Vinny is an afterthought right now.
That cicada upshot on hole 10 was 👌. Further cemented my love of that disc.

jerm- my brain can't quite com-pute that and I can't even talk apparently. 23:53 LOL
This is the best course ever, should be this hard for pros. Shooting -10 under every round like usual is ridiculous.

Watching everyone struggle on hole 14 only for AB to have an eagle look shows how insane his first two shots were
I was half watching the first hole and saw Barella park it throwing off a teepad on a distance that said "722 ft." I was very confused
Either Dickerson or Anttila will take this one home. 👆🏻💯
