I myself couldn't give less of a shit if jerma stood in front of a camera, stone faced and read through an entire ad script every day each stream if it meant he had the money to continually make amazing content and support himself.
It would honestly be amazing if, in the baseball stream, all of the mits were replaced with the Hamburger Helper mascot, and in-between every run he eats a spoonful of beefy pasta. Sponsorship can actually enhance the comedy a thousandfold, if they're done correctly.
chat quoting kanye west’s song because of the background vocals during the second house build and jerma just being utterly confused is so fucking funny. ISOLATED streamer has NEVER heard a SINGLE SONG in his ENTIRE LIFE

I GENUINELY hope that this corporation actually helps him with his projects. I understand the situation he is in as an artist, paying for what inspires you can be very difficult. Much love, Corporate Andy!! /hj
You know it's really refreshing to see such transparency, especially with someone who does streams at the scale that Jerma does. To have actual prices put to the streams and to know how huge an undertaking they are both financially and in terms of pure manpower gives them that much more meaning. It's fantastic seeing someone put so much of the funding they get from the community back into their content; a virtuous cycle! I don't mind the sponsors so long as he retains control of his vision and I trust that if they were to get in the way of said vision he would go elsewhere. Just glad to know that we will keep getting these monumental, landmark streams so long as Jerma still has ideas for em.
So when Jerma was talking about why not let a frog do surgery on you, my immediate mental response for some reason was "because they have those little arms," in reference to the frog from Meet the Robinsons. I'm watching through the VOD, so Jerma did not hear this. Then somehow, less than an hour later, Jerma manages to go on an unrelated tangent where he brings up that movie himself for the first time in his streaming career, referencing that specific line said by a different character with a different context than what I was thinking about. What just happened?

Jerma said “hire me, hire me do it” on the Hit and Run stream and now he’s finally going to be hired for energy drink and gaming chair companies. Hit and Run is probably the most important and influential stream in Jerma history. Not only did it give us a more unstable Jerma, but now we have corporate Jerma.

He's p much an artist at this point and he's got a lot of good ideas (which could def make him a target for advertisers) and I just hope he gets to make things that he wants without having to worry about money instead of getting stuck somehow!
Yeah. Why I feel a little more confident in his case is that he has quite a bit more life experience than most people hired on to a talent agency for the first time. Jerma has shown throughout his career his wisdom and savvy when it comes to his entertainment; and I think he’s in a good spot for this kind of deal.

It's depressing to me that a dude like Jerma feels like he has to spend that much time justifying to his audience that he's going to take sponsorships to make some money from what he does for a living. Dude puts SO much work into this. The level of toxic aggression people have towards anyone doing ads is out of control. Sure, I hate the whole "influencer" thing, where a RUclipsr/Instagrammer/TikToker/Whatever does this disingenuous 'guys I love Raid Shadow Legends SO much, it's my favorite game, you should really click my affiliate link" thing. But if taking 60 seconds out of a three hour stream to say "hey guys, the folks at [SPONSOR] are helping me pay the bills, so let me tell you a bit about them, and if you could check them out it would really help the channel" lets him keep making content and making the money he deserves (because again, anyone who puts as much effort into making his work something special and not just a head in the corner talking about video games DOES deserve to make money doing ), then I'm all for it.
You can't really control the internet like that, people will be assholes no matter what, If Jerma is happy and making a bag off of sponsors so he have a roof over his head then I don't see the problem

It makes me sad that he would of quit 2 years ago if it weren't for the big projects. Makes it seem like ordinary streams have been boring for him for 2 years. Still love corporate andy tho.
I think it makes sense from an artist's standpoint in that even if you love doing something, it being your exlusive thing you do can become tiring. I'm a composer, and if I just wrote classical music, I'd be burnt out by now and I'm only in my 20s. It's always the different things, the big projects, the end goal stuff that make you remember how much you love what you do. I think that's the case with Jerma
every timre the level is done it's like the person that commissioned the house is like "You've exhausted your usefulness" and gunshots and then just buries you under the house
I love that this game could have been good but it leaned way to heavily into the dopamine aspect. Like you dig 1 single ice block and then immediately unlock the ability to dig 2 at the same time. I say this because I think the game becomes its own thing now. Its that mobile game ad of cutting a tree and suddenly a log cabin appears and you level up and start building a city, but on a platform that isn't mobile and you pay a little money and have every scenario unlocked. No ads, no in game transactions, no real life waiting. But the thing is, it doesn't ruin itself with realism. It's just such a good "I've been laid off my job and the future is gray stormy clouds of uncertainty" game to play the night you find out you can barely afford your bills and the next step is your house being repossessed. Like a suicide prevention game.
On the subject of Jerma talking about tutorials, I always appreciate when games have dedicated optional tutorials. Like the training mission in Deus Ex, or the Hazard Course in Half-Life. That always made so much more sense to me than dragging out an extended tutorial sequence for two hours. And if you REALLY can't make it optional for some reason, just get it over with fast. Have the whole thing last like 15 minutes maximum.
I dont know why Jerma still doesn't understand that noone is going to think bad of him for taking a sponsorship to afford bigger and more frequent massive shows. He could take a toilet cleaner sponsorship and we wouldn't think any worse of him. He could take an anti balding cream sponsorship if it means he won't put himself at risk financially. Obviously he shouldn't take shady deals but besides that it literally doesn't matter
That baby doll stream idea is the perfect way to introduce a generation of Facebook boomers to Jerma by spreading it as “bear attacks daycare center, LIVE”
I'd _pay money_ for a series of infomercials starring Jerma as a Vince Offer-esqe spokesperson. Not even kidding. That'd be the funniest shit ever, it's like getting paid to do a bit. I legitimately wouldn't skip a single one. By the way, I think that we can all agree that somewhere around 750 million will be taken off the debt if he pretends to shit in a litterbox. He has to really sell it, though, weird faces and everything.
no, no, we add 750 million if he does that. we add 750 million if he doesn't. the only thing that removes debt is if he legitimately does a series of Vince Offer-esque infomercials WITH Vince Offer. probably for selling like, idk. WWE 2022.
I've had such a massive respect for jerma since I first viewed him. I'd dare say he's one of the last remaining artists with the actual artist mindset. Wanting to create something he and his audience truly enjoy and not for the sake of profit. There's not enough credit that can be given to jerma and his dedication
I like how twitch and youtube went from people running their own business to a bunch of talent agencies and conglomerates middlemanning. Just like Hollywood, YAY. These things definitely never go really wrong like Roosterteeth and Machinima. Sign a bunch of legal papers and ownership clauses and one day all your backlog is just gone.
People who have stayed freelance have always come out better after time. Its surprising that Jerma cant pull sponsors. Hes hugely popular on the internet, not just twitch. and his content is really a lot cleaner than many other people who get tons of sponsors. So I have no idea why sponsors arent busting down his door with offers.
@@117johnpar simple response is he is only human, its a lot to handle to both be redefining the genre and find the money, it very much helps to have someone who has direct ties instead of trying to sell urself while running on fumes
@@EndlessDrac True to an extent but he shouldn't need someone with 'direct ties' Its self validation middlemen. They show up in every industry. Especially entertainment. i dont think he meant that ordinary streams are boring for him - just that he needs a creative goal to fulfill
He definitely loves streaming, you can tell just watching lol. He just wants a bigger goal to accomplish I think
dont know if I believe him but I can kinda tell with the way he acted 2+ years ago compared to now
I think it makes sense from an artist's standpoint in that even if you love doing something, it being your exlusive thing you do can become tiring. I'm a composer, and if I just wrote classical music, I'd be burnt out by now and I'm only in my 20s. It's always the different things, the big projects, the end goal stuff that make you remember how much you love what you do. I think that's the case with Jerma
Jerma's Adeptus Mechanicus rant in the beginning was fantastic
i love how jerma has no idea the soundtrack has kanye in the background and has no idea what the lyrics are, to jerma there's zero context
55:52 holy shit that really is the exact same sample lmao
every timre the level is done it's like the person that commissioned the house is like "You've exhausted your usefulness" and gunshots and then just buries you under the house
I love that for about 10 minutes he’s just listening to POWER and building a hut in the middle of the forest.
“Livin’ in that 21st Century”
I love how the first thing Jerma did when he saw the dog was try and pet it.
I can’t believe they made a game about the videos we all watch when we can’t sleep at 3am
I'm glad someone in stream picked up on the Kanye power screams lol I thought I was going crazy
First reference in the downfall of jerma video essay
2:50 Heated Adeptas Mechanicus moment
ZORN FLAVORED GFUEL COMING
From the moment i understood the weakness of my flesh it disgusted me
That Jerma catboy stream idea is the perfect way to end your career and hide in the mountains for the rest of your life.

No it's not
@@kinnikuboneman
He didn’t shit in the litter-box live
Is the chanting from Kanye West's 'Power' used in the soundtrack of this game or am I going crazy 56:38
I really hope CorporateAndy decides to put him on a sleeve of Oreos
I work at a grocery store overnight stocking stuff.
I would die of laughter if I saw Jermas face on the stuff I put on the shelves.
Like a suicide prevention game.
the more he sells out the more his body breaks down nd become cysts.
55:17 Kanye started playing
Thanks for saving me the time
chat becoming filled with "KANYE" and "JERMA LEAKED DONDA 2" whenever that chanting came up was so funny
Jerma has realized the weakness of his flesh and it disgusts him
Can't wait for the "Jerma Builds an Actual House" stream
I'm so glad chat also picked up on the intro to Power.
3:48 unappologetically based Jerma moment.
Jerma Debt IRL
Then they have middlemen of middlemen. Just a line of people trying to get a slice of the money printing pie.
I hope things do work out for him. But historically, They usually dont in the long run. And we may very well lose out on a lot of his content in a decade or two when hes gone.
I doubt it will shake out like Jerma thinks it will with sponsors. I hope it does go the way he wants it to go. But I just dont see it panning out that way.
I don’t know if jerma sees the RUclips comments, but I support you all the way. You’ve given me entertainment for years and years and brought me so much joy. Sponsors are sponsors but I will be here to stick around through all of the twists and turns. You’re so talented, hilarious, and such a genuine great guy. Thank you for all of the laughs jerma. I’m looking forward to all that you bring!
playing this stream in the bg means you think youre going in fucking sane when the kanye part happens
Love how whenever chat asks for face cake hes like “maybe if you’re good”
Mr green held jerma at gunpoint to sign thr contract for more limes.
HE HATES STREAMING
28:43 imagine -2'ing a major announcement LOL
>He's becoming a CSGO streamer
Genuinely murdered my sides
I just wish he'd do playthrough streams again
The speech at the intro is one of the reasons Jerma is one of the best creators on the internet
Jerma confirms on stream he supports Glorious Evolution!!
13:00 Jerma gets a Gamersupps flavor
debt flavored gamer juice, fully endorsed by Tomar
@@pingdotlin i would endorse it yes. It would probably just taste like the most boston food you can imagine
Nobody show Evolved the pregnancy compilation

Sad that he's moving away from gaming. I never tuned in to his irl streams (this is just me, but I never really found them all that entertaining. I always preferred him just chilling and gaming) but I'm really happy that he's moving on up and doing shit that he loves and he's enjoying himself.
I can totally relate to school being such a distant memory to me now. And also I always think about how much memory space memes and song lyrics take up in my brain lol
1:26:44 oh my god i was not expecting to be attacked like that
Cant believe he wont be tweeting about laundry detergent twice a week... he really doesnt listen to the viewers, is a couple laundry tweet so much to ask for??
When are we getting the irl House Builder stream? I wanna see Jerma spend all day making a mud hut.
Lol mud hut more like a full house
I wanna see a gamersupps cat boy jerma cup with a jerma gamersupps drink mix thingy. Would be so gas I’d fr think he’d make millions off a gamersupps deal
