Now this makes me want a Frostpunk-like game where you start out with a massive train of 1000 cars and you have to administer things like energy, food and resources while also dealing with rebellions that can derail the cars and you can reclaim as you travel around the world.

@@bigb7955 well sort of becuase he left Melanie Outside to die but she had to start the train because so many stowaways were getting on
@@jacktravea5348 this could be true but their actual maximum capacity was probably a lot higher than 3 thousand passengers. The truth of it was that they left early because they couldn't risk wilford being in charge of the last survivors of humanity.
Even though Melanie followed wilfords rules to the letter, I can garentee if wilford was in charge they wouldn't have made it past their 1st revolution just like Melanie said in her interrogation.
I honestly don't know how this series can end at season 4 and Deffo deserves more
I think I know how the series can continue. Snowpiercer most likely isn't the only surviving settlement in the Snowpiercer universe and most likely the other survivors outside of Snowpiercer will probably want revenge against the rich people on board for destroying the world in the first place. Maybe they could build themselves their own Snowpiercer type engine in order to track down and destroy Snowpiercer. Or who knows. maybe big Alice wasn't the only prototype engine Wilford built. so maybe they could steal said prototype engine and retrofit it into a war train then Snowpiercer has to survive long enough and either find a way to destroy the train or make peace with the people sending it
@@firedragon77777 that's actually a great idea, maybe icebreaker in the show could be one of other prototype engines and a bunch of survivors managed to get it working

The one thing i dont understand is how they get from the engine all the way to the tail in minutes when it took them days to get from the tail all the way to the engine especially when the train is 994 cars long
They use the sub train (the sub train inside the train at the bottom), in the war it was blocked or damaged, later they repaired it to move fast on the train
Or they should have uncoupled the tail car, and jammed it, so he cant couple on the rest of the train, just the tail car
Yes, and also No. Alice will more than happily either connect, and push the car on, or just ram through it. The cars are made to be resilient, and insulated, but the engine's are will over designed for taking on even a rock slide over the rails. Humanity can survive with a few less cars. Wilfred wanted the engines to survive WW3 if need be.

In fact it wouldn't even work using one just to slow her down, Alice as shown can easily catch up with how few cars she's towing.
@@GrasshopperKelly that's not what they're saying they're saying uncompleted as in electrically and whatnot and jamming it on so it's still attached so big alice couldn't use the power supply to take control without sacrificing any life. This actually is a genius idea
They couldn’t just decouple the tail. They would have to decouple the J link which was probably ten or twenty cars up train
@@jacobobrien2744 Even if they used the tail cars to try to derail Alice she'd just plow through them.
If they decouple them even without electricity Alice will just connect to them, power them back up, and keep pushing forward.
They were doomed as soon as they chose those tracks.

Couldnt they remote change the switch while wilford was changing tracks, and derail them?
No, it's actually mentioned in the books, any train sitting on a switch has priority control. Mostly because the trains are the ones powering the local track network. So Wilford fully controls the switch while Alice is crossing.
It's a trailing move across the points, big Alice will just force them to move across and will be much less likely to derail the train than a facing move

As I recall, he mentions something about Big Alice having supplies/people Snowpiercer would need to keep going as justification for keeping Melanie in the dark about Big Alice catching up to them.
