I'm spinning off my Film/TV videos into a new channel

I know a decision like this will be confusing to many. But I couldn't be more excited about it! I'd rather this new channel bomb in an attempt to spawn both a clearer creative outlet, and more consistent viewing experience, than to feel like I'm throwing videos away while actively killing this channel.

I just wanted to say that it's a smart thing to start a new channel for a different type of video you're interested in. It's an inherent downside of the algorithm that RUclips expects you to do the same thing every time, and punishes you if you try something new. It sucks because it limits your creativity. I'm thinking of starting another channel as well, because I would like to do other things outside of what I normally do. Best of luck with your new channel! Definitely will subscribe!

This is absolutely how youtubers craft thumbnails before that sort of announcement. Hopefully "Overly dramatic youtube title" clues people in that it's a joke ;)

Honestly, I think it’s interesting that you’ve made videos going over all sorts of games and movies so it’s not limited just to one “world” per say. Either way you have my vote for this and I’m excited to see what’s to come

I love the transparency here! I think re-uploading your old stuff is a good idea. As a casual viewer of your channel, I probably missed a lot, so you'll definitely get new views from folks like me. The algorithm can be a beast to wrangle. I hope this gambit works out for you!

I support you decision, hovewer an bit of input/suggestion: setting up proper playlists eliminate the need to "dive to find that one type of content" for a lot of people. _Especially_ if for variety channels tho it benefits every type of channel honestly. I understand they can be tedious to set up tho.
I've had organized playlists since the early days. I've experimented with them numerous times as well (adding more specific ones, condensing them down into broader umbrellas). It's such an odd thing, because that's also how I use youtube!
But the average viewer simply won't put that effort in. And a single hurdle to someone clicking an additional video has an insane multiplicative effect on whether youtube recommends things in the future. I wish I didn't have to play this "game" with youtube. But it's best to roll with it, rather than fight against it

If you're taking suggestions and wish to have some content about animations on this youtube channel, you might cover some of the stick figure community. Especially GildedGuy. Does not seem a far cry from NewGrounds and Henry Stickmin content. At least to me. If you do keep up with a second channel, just plug it at the beginning of your vids going forward so people know it exists.

I'm actually kind of concerned about this decision. Juggling four channels must be really tough, and you either can't make as much content this frequently on the other channels as before or you overwork yourself.
The plan is to blitz uploads on the new channel to attempt to get the ball rolling. ALSO to avoid having those videos lost in the void for an extended period of time now that I've Unlisted them.
Then once that's evened out, I'll make the exact same number of videos as I do now. But anything Film/TV oriented will simply go on a different channel. I don't think I'll even attempt to keep uploads consistent on both. I expected 2 Left Frames will get a little less attention long term. But hopefully by then it will have an audience built in to support that.
Plus Full Graemeplays is very casual, and I get a lot of help with Graeme Games. In a few months, I'll be back to just have 1 channel as my primary focus. Everything else will just be gravy :)

I overwork myself from time to time. But it's only ever to hit an important deadline. And then I'm always certain to relax and treat myself after. It's been a *long* time since I've experience any true burnout :)
@@2leftthumbs True. I can't even picture the immense amount of work for a 30+ minute video with lots of editing, let alone something like the Spamton Sweepstakes video, where you and others had only 24 hours to find everything there is in this website(s), and archive everything.
