- Gaww ... I feel like this song and the whole idea behind this edit could have been done better ama this was kinda rushed (still took a lot of time, don't get me wrong 💀). I've worked my ass off to get this done in time because I'm going on vacation tomorrow. So I won't be able to watch the episode live or edit next week and I didn't wanna leave you guys without a video for two weeks.
I'm sorry if this doesn't quite hit the mark but I hope you'll enjoy this edit regardless. And appreciate the "because you wouldn't leave" part because I've been saving this for WEEKS. I can't believe I haven't seen anyone talk about this. All his life Serkan closed himself of because he was afraid of getting hurt, of loving people who would then abandon him ... because that's all he's ever known (we don't count Engin here, bahahaha, love you, dude). And yet ... Eda loves him so, so incredbily much that deep down he knew, he felt that she would never really leave him. I know, I know - he ended up driving her away anyway because he felt unworthy but STILL. Him saying he knew Eda wouldn't leave BLEW MY FUCKING MIND. Truly ... no one's ever loved him like that.

The way u showed serkan's journey from being a person who was afraid to love someone just because of the fear that they will abandon him or he is just not worthy of that love to a Man who overcame his fears by Eda's love & kindness, she broke all his red boundaries and he gave all of himself to her and now after all those years of loneliness he finally has a happy family of his own that he always deserved.
I agree nobody can love serkan as much as Eda, she indeed is the hero of their lovestory.
& the quotes u used OMG I have so many favorites Damnnn. The songs u used tell a story in themselves yk it's crazy how perfectly it speaks from serkan's perspective & shows the transition he made as a man.

Oh I completely forgot to comment on the video even though I watched it a few days ago. First of all, I hope you have/had great vacation.
Second of all, this is so good. I had so many thoughts running through my mind watching this. It's hard to articulate them all right now. You nailed it. I love how you work with lyrics. It's flawless. I cannot compliment you enough because this is another masterpiece. So many parts in this video that I absolutely adore. Every scene you fit in is amazing.
As the series comes to an end and I get SUPER EMOTIONAL, there are a few songs that I'm dying to see you use for Edser/Serkan videos that seem so perfect and appropriate to me:
- Lover of the Light by Mumford&Sons. For me, this song describes them and their story perfectly. The fear of Serkan to see Eda go. The walls Serkan has built to protect himself. Eda IS the lover of the light and this video here is a perfect example of it. It's such a beautiful song. "You may not trust the promises of the change I'll show" and she did believe in him and how he matured and overcame his pain and fears to fight for her. That's the whole journey of season 2.
- Can't live without your love by Ross Copperman. One of my all-time favorite songs. Perfect song to show how they cannot live without their love for each other. Not only Serkan/Eda but also Serkan/Kiraz and Serkan/Kiraz/Eda/baby Alp. I have been fascinated by the original handcuffs that turned into "You know, there are invisible handcuffs between us now" from 1x13 that turned into Kiraz joining their hands together in 2x06 that turned into the three of them putting their hands together on Eda's baby bump to feel the baby kick in 2x12 and even Kiraz gently caressing her belly to feel the baby in 2x12 or Serkan kissing and hugging her baby bump in that same episode. This song also reminds me of all the amazing couch scenes that we have had this season with their ritual on the couch before tucking Kiraz into bed. "All I've ever wanted is right here in this room", "Kiraz taught us unconditional love". And Serkan reading The Little Prince to Kiraz, the same edition Eda gifted him in 1x24 as a New Year's present. These details are so important to me and the fact that they share that nighttime ritual with their daughter is beautiful. Yes, "I can't live without your love tonight, not tonight" inspires me A LOT. "In these moments" yes, it's the little moments, indeed.
- Till Forever Runs out by Alex Vargas. It's a song that is very unknown to most people but it's SUCH a MAGNIFICENT song. Feels like it's the perfect song for a tribute to Edser and their jouney after the show ends.

- That Home/To Build A Home (mashup) by Cinematic Orchestra. To Build A Home is my all-time favorite song. I've been dreaming about an Edser video to this song FOR MONTHS (I'm not even kidding lol). It's started when I watched 1x26 and Serkan said : "I construct houses for people to find their happiness but it's strange that even after creating a house for myself, I can't find my happiness". Then, I remembered Eda's remarks about Serkan's house when she first visited the place in 1x02 (how it looks warm and nothing like him) and then what she said when she first visited his apartment in 1x18, how it looks cold to her. That stuck with me because in 1x20 we saw how "cold" these places actually are without Eda (Serkan's scenes when he is alone in both the Bolat house (his part of the house was emptied) and then when he was alone and brooding in his apartment. Eda is the one that brought colors into his life and HIS HOUSE, adding flowers and warmth, a true reflection of her impact on his life. Back to the quote from 1x26, the continuation was their talk in 1x36 when Eda told him that her home is wherever he is to which he replied that they needed to make the Bolat family grow and find a new place to live together, in the city or somewhere else.
Season 2 wasn't perfect but it WAS amazing for how they brought that sense of comfort, belonging AND HOME to Eda and Serkan. Serkan literally bought the house that Eda always dreamed of and designed it according to her and Kiraz's wishes. HOW EMOTIONAL AND THOUGHTFUL (she said so herself). I really, really, really love the scene from 2x11 when he makes a surprise to Eda and shows her the house and the nursery room he started decorating for their unborn child. Some shots are perfect. That circle is closed with these words of wisdom from Serkan: "If you are happy or if you have a happy life, a job you love, a beloved family, then you are rich". And THAT JOY is exactly what we saw in their new house (couch scenes, garden scenes, Kiraz's bedroom's scenes, kitchen scenes). Warmth and happiness radiates from that house and from their next one too, I'm sure.
Anyway, these quotes from Serkan and Eda and specifically Serkan's quote from 1x26 have me craving for that video to that song.
- So Far by Olafur Arnalds : finally, that's more of a Serkan centric video. The lyrics are perfect again. Serkan has stumbled and stumbled and stumbled again so many times. He thought he could never reach his dreams, his future (especially after Eda left him) but it's also directly linked to his trauma after losing his brother. How amazing that the birth of his son will mend his broken heart a little bit more. For me, that song is the embodiment of his journey.

And show me hope again"
THESE LYRICS, I SWEAR 🥺🥺🥺
His new hope will be his son, Alp Bolat (that scene in 2x12 where Eda and Serkan talk to Kiraz about Alp Bolat /the older brother/ and how much Serkan misses him everyday because he was a source of joy and happiness and Eda suggests to call their son Alp might be one of my new favorite scenes of the entire season, to be honest! That scene owns my heart because 1) they talk to their daughter about Alp, 2) Serkan acknowledges his trauma and 3) there is an element of happiness and peace when they talk about him now as Kiraz is there to comfort him, Eda gently strokes his face and looks at him with love in her eyes and Serkan can finally smile at the prospect of having a son that might be called after his brother 🥺🥺🥺).

Cue to Eda showing him the pictures and videos of Kiraz's milestones that he missed (gosh, that scene from 2x04 where Serkan watches the videos she left for him is the best and Kerem's acting/tears had me in a puddle of tears) versus what he didn't miss with the second pregnancy (ultrasound scene where they are side-by-side and their happiness there). That's SUCH A POWERFUL PARALLEL to me. Anyway.
Besides, it looks like baby Alp will be born where Serkan finally accepted Kiraz as his daughter *ugly cries*
So yeah, that song by Olafur Arnalds could be fantastic for Serkan's journey. Serkan Bolat has come so far ;)
Sorry for the VERY, VERY, VERY long post but you are such an exceptional vidder and you find the most precious parallels times and again so I can totally see you master any of these songs.
You are such an AMAZING editor. I want to hug you. I love how you noticed that little phrase. The concept of the video is so amazingggg. 3:47 - 4:10 has my whole heartttt "no one has ever loved me like that" and Eda looking at him like he is her sunshine during the whole sequence. She loves him LIKE THAT, indeed ;) I intended the pun haha.
