    New Orleans November 11, 1967
    Municipal Auditorium
    Conducted by Jonel Perlea
    PUCCINI - TOSCA
    Tosca - MARIE COLLIER
    Scarpia - PETER GLOSSOP
    Cavaradossi - MICHELE MOLESE
    no further information
    ACT1 - Scarpia-Tosca scene and Te Deum
    ACT2 - Complete
SOURCE - Recorded in house . - very good sound.
Recorded by a very intrepid lady who travelled the United States recording everything she could with Jon Vickers. She had seen Peter Glossop in San Francisco with Vickers in Don Carlo and as this Tosca performance came to her home town she went and recorded it. She had a good seat, the sound is reasonably forward and very clear. She did not like the tenor and left after the 2nd Act.
This is all that exists and all the information that I could gather.

Good to have a souvenir of Perlea conducting this opera as well as Collier and Molese!

Glossop in good voice, when he was on form he was superb. Saw him sing Scarpia in Verona with Bergonzi and again in London with Bergonzi again. Glad I have both performances to listen too. I just missed his Scarpia at the Met with Bumbry. Collier is certainly on form here.
