I think I'd heard from another wrestler--I'm not sure who--that one of the Marines had a gun which would definitely keep the wrestlers from wanting to get involved in the fight. In June 2018, I went to an event that featured Marty. It was definitely a great experience: he spoke about a lot about his getting into professional wrestling--I believe some stories not yet are on RUclips but yes, he had some infamous Iron Sheik stories upon request!--along with a Q&A, photo opp/autograph session and this was held at a restaurant so dinner was included with the price. The promoter of this event presented Marty with a plaque marking the 25th anniversary of his winning the IC belt from Shawn on Raw...it was very touching. Marty had said, "Y'all gonna make me cry;" he was very close to doing just that. Having met Marty and watching his interview videos, I definitely have to credit him for sticking what he said and not changing anything to suit him. At the event, he'd taken on an approach of "I'm telling you my side of the story and what I've experienced, nothing more."

P.S.: And that he continued TV just gives you an idea about his work ethics. Even agreeing to incorporate such a not so proud of life incident into a storyline! It would have been very easy to phone up Vince unable to perform and fly straight home healing up and seeking legal consult. HBK was always The Truth! Giving his all as public entertainer. For a bunch of rotten losers needing to throw stones at Epitome while being total Failures!
He did NOT show up the next Monday on Raw..he did a video phone call with Vince on air when it was announced he got into that skirmish with those Marines outside the night club. The next time he appeared on TV was the PPV In Your House 4 where he showed up with a swollen eye and some scars on his forehead to give up the Intercontinental Title to Dean Douglas. Not to mention the newspaper headlines said that he got in said fight. So nice try with that.
Looking more and more like AC/DC's Brian Johnson.
ROLLING TAPE AROUND HIS FIST LMFAO IM DYING
Damn I wish I could take whatever he's on in this clip.
They were actually Army soldiers from Fort Drum not Marines
i love how the story is funny to him
It was one army soldier. His name was Corporal Douglass Griffith. There were two other soldiers in the parking lot, but they never touched anyone. The police charged ONE guy (Griffith) with assault. The rumor about Davey Boy is that he was too pilled up to do anything that night. If anyone had touched or fishhooked Davy Boy, they would have been charged with assault as well.
Janetty wasn't there and it seems obvious in the video that he is repeating a story Bulldog told him about what happened.
The charges against the soldier were later dropped.
Wrong
@@PresidentCasper I get my information from the court records and the police reports. Where do you get yours?
The source.
@@PresidentCasper Yeah. I'm sure in Shawn's mind he was fighting 19 marines that night and Bulldog was fighting off guys three at a time. But I'd tend to trust the police report more than either of them.
Well hells bells I thought this was an interview with somebody completely different.
Hannibal didn't Shawn give up the I/C belt 2 Dean Douglas when he got beat up by the marines. He wasn't world champion. Please clarify
Shawn forfeited the IC belt to Dean Douglas. Douglas immediately after dropped the strap to Razor Ramon
Shawn didn't win the WWF championship till Spring of 1996
I watched it when i was a kid. Dean Douglas held the belt 4 11 mins
Older you get the more you talk. Reminiscing about the pass. Good times.
WHAT IS MARTY ON?? 😮 - NEVER SEEN HIM THIS BAD BEFORE!
HOPE HE CAN GET SOME HELP, SINCE HE SEEMS TO BE ON HIS OWN...
THANKS 4 ALL YHE GREAT YEARS U GAVE US WITH THE ROCKERS!! 😎👍
Marty jannetty is unrecognizable doesn't look like he used to at all I know he's older but he looks like a totally different person
Drugs and alcools you got your answer
Drugs and alcools you got your answer
It took 50 marines to take Shawn The Shooter Michaels.
That you Vince??? 😀
@@hubertgreen it was a slow Tuesday when it happened.
I blew a 2.0 on a breathalyzer after watching this interview.... and I don't even drink.
I loved him on King of the Hill...
Lololol. Boomhauer
Damm I hate to see Marty like this😥💔💔💔💔
Didn't Marty beat Shawn up one time?
i choked on my tea listening to this story,,, MArty tells it the best.
when was the fight that made him cross-eyed?????
Inferno Match vs Kane.
Party Ready Marty Jannetty
He's out he checking the muffler 😆😂
i don’t get it😅
Was the muffler ok?
Do you party? Am I Marty? You're Marty. I party🎉 God love him. We're here for a good time, not a long time. Do what you love and don't let the barstewards grind you down🖖
Love the AC/DC hat
Daym just how high was Marty in this video
Is it ALWAYS a Marty Party? I've never seen a Marty J. interview where he didn't look blitzed. I am NOT knockin' him or callin' him out - God bless him. Maybe I just relate to him or feel a kinship.
I heard Davey was trapped in the back seat and he couldn’t get out...
1-2-3 Kid had Shawn & Davey's back, from way back 😂😂
Makes me think of what Alan Ladd said about Humphrey Bogart.
"Bogart is a nice guy until he has a few drinks. Then he starts thinking he's Bogart."
He didn’t get beat up by a Marine. He was beat up by a Soldier from Fort Drum.
Ewww. Even worse lol
Monstar A sure! If you say so.
hahaha he looks like the lead singer of AC/DC with that hat. hahaha
I remember when this incident happened. It was allegedly Army soldiers stationed at Fort Drum, not Marines.
Yes we know there's a difference between Army Soldiers and Marines. but lets be honest, most people will always get'em messed up and confused because they are more similar in a way, than having major differences between them. www.gijobs.com/5-differences-between-army-and-marine-corps-infantry/
After watching this video I know less about what happen than I did before watching.
Shawn never won a fight in his life.
There's only two fights we know of that he lost. This one against the jarhead, and one locker room fight against Brett Hart. Are there any others I haven't heard about?
@@maxxxmodelz4061 yea my guess is over 99% of these people saying he can't fight would get beat down in less than 10 seconds by Shawn. he's a strong dude and really athletic
@@Rodzilla97 Yeah, its easy to talk trash about somebody from behind a screen..yet they'd probably wouldn't be so brave if it were face to face.
Marty just smoked a bowl before this interview ffs LMAO!!! 🤪😂🤣🤣... But ill still take his word for it lol!
Syracuse Represent
Get Marty on the phone with DDP asap
How can anyone hate Marty! haha
Sooo is he still with the band or they superkick him off acdc too?
No one worse to go out with than the guy who runs his yap because you're with him. Guaranteed to start shit.
You heard it here first folks!
"I love him,not like that." lol Jannetty trying 2 B funny.
What is the point in humiliating this guy posting this when he's clearly intoxicated?
Nah hes just fried at this point
