@@selinangozo4436 the name is same but dancing style is different. This style is for chitipa/karonga. Having lived in Nkhatabaya and Chitipa, I know. For Tonga malipenga its like this: ruclips.net/video/NDlSqHIuW-4/видео.html
It makes sense for these dances to be similar to all those kinds. They are actually similar to the Lipenenga from the Nyakyusas in Tanzania. I think those tribes in Malawi and the Nyakyusas are all victims of the arbitrary boundaries created by the colonialists as we may otherwise have ended up in the same country.

I am both lambya and Tonga. I saw this type of dance in Chitipa. But I don't think the guys in the video are from Chitipa.

This should be mapenenga (malipenga) from Chitipa or karonga.
Maripenga it is Tonga people original from Nkhata _Bay not karonga or Chitipa.i know for sure because I'm Tonga my self.
