Sail flip slows him down and he’s not really planing all the way through. On the flip, He should reach underneath his front hand with an underhand grip on the new tack. You don’t get colliding wrists that way and you can reach further back on the boom. But he’s on a huge sail and I suspect a big board so you can get away with a lot of problems that otherwise would wind up in a stall or even a fall.
