Unusually for an English town name it's pronounced as its spelt Por-tis-head part of the Bristol scene of the nineties all very amazing like PJ Harvey, Tricky and Massive Attack all extremely talented artists
Although this is a great version, it's quite different from the original. The original is an absolute masterpiece! You should check out the original, if you can, or one of the many live versions that are closer to it. All that said, I love this version but that love is partly informed by knowing the original. :)

The most amusing not-entirely-off description of the band I've seen: "They're classified as "trip-hop", but there's not much rapping going on (compare Massive Attack) - so they're more if Nine Inch Nails was a jazz band instead and if Trent Reznor was a middle-aged woman..."

The pain and anguish in her voice is amazing and moving and a bit disturbing to listen to, but fits the song to a tee.
