Such a humble man. Gotta love Guy Martin. Awesome.
Yes he is humble but his manners while eating are deplorable.
@@anthonyeaton5153 dunno about you chum but I wasn't watching to see the man eat 😂😂😂😂
Such a class act. Keep telling these stories of these legendary hero's Guy. Thank you for being you
The man's a true legend. Down to earth as they come. No air's and Grace's. What you see is what you get. A proper English man. Not like all these fake famous wannabe celebrities. If he'd been in world war one or two he'd have done his bit. No question. It's time we called him Sir Guy Martin. Give the Sir to someone who deserves it.
Well said, far more deserving than most Peers 👍🏻
Well said!!!! He's a fantastic ambassador for Great Britain!!!
Tbh i don't think he would accept it
@@MrPerriguin yes he's so humble and down to earth jay he'd probably think he doesn't deserve it. But I'd give it to him in a heart beat. He's just so genuine and honest. You have all these so call celebrities who go on these so called real tv shows with not an ounce of talent or reality about them. He's just so down to earth and humble. He a sir in my book. And always will be. It's men like him that makes me proud to be British.
But what about the narrator? How much effort has gone into the over-dramatisation of his voice over? That's effort.
Supported by the fantastic Anna Walker, aviatrix extraordinaire; she took me up in a Spitfire at Duxford 5 years ago, very classy and knowledgable lady. Huge fun, she's a real enthusiast.
She seems absolutely adorable too from watching this.
I too flew with Anna Walker from Biggin Hill. I have my flight recorded from opposing cameras which is now safely on a disc. . I was the first person to kiss her after my flight. She is a fantastic pilot and a lovely person .
Same! I flew on the Spitfire MJ772 with her in 2019, in Biggin Hill. Absolutely amazing and lovely person with the best job in the world!
The Pilot flying the Me 109 in this video, John Romain, I saw him fly a Spitfire at Duxford in 1998 😀
Anna flew me on may 1st on coastal patrol ,what a wonderful pilot and person ....😊
Makes ya eyes water seeing these machines fly 😥❤🇬🇧🇬🇧
Guy is literally the next generations Fred Dibnah. Slightly different circumstances and times, but that same raw skill, talent and balls. A proper Englishman.
And he can ride a motor bike better than most. Top man.
@JZ's Best Friend watch isle of man to understand its a very big deal
Lucky bugger ! Not many get their hands on the controls (in flight)
This conversion looks much better than the Spitfire's 2nd canopy.
Legend flying a Legend 👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Guy, keep inspiring people sir, this should be compulsory viewing, especially for young kids, they don't realise how close to total defeat our great land was.
Race face on. I think this experience will change him for ever what a ambassador for the uk
Beautiful video and plane. The Hurricane is my favorite WW2 fighter and has been for a long time. I'm surprised that two seater versions exist and that they don't look (to my eye) very different than the single seat version. I love the "don't dive faster than 350 mph" warning. All of the sudden those fast motorcycles don't seem quite so fast. Belated congrats on your successful flight, Guy.
Dream come true to fly such beautiful machine
Pride and respect to Polish pilots. Not enough credits for them, when RAF would not make it without those lads!
Beautiful aircraft, superb video, thank you.
Guy is the new Fred Dibnah.
I love the ace 109 beautiful plain.. Spitting those flames when started..
Plane*
too bad its a hispano and not a 109

Why are these episodes so short 😭😭
Protect Guy at all costs!!
Anna Walker is an amazing pilot and has one of the easiest voices to listen to. What an opportunity, not only to spend time with her but to learn to fly a Hurricane. There is a Heaven.
"Don't just sit there, LOOK! Search for the bastard!! And never fly straight and level in the combat area or you're a dead duck! Try again...

Good afternoon my arse!
Some Guy's have all the fun :) TFS, GB :)
Great job, Guy! The Hurricane is my favorite WW2 fighter, though I have many. I always liked that the rear of the aircraft construction was often in wood and fabric, like my old flying model airplanes. That a plane built like this could push 350 mph is astounding. Such a beautiful looking bird, too.
Proper job!
Wings for Guy.
Always makes me a little sad to see a 109 with a Merlin.
Another 10 hours on type and you'll be where the young pilots found themselves in 1940 - against Luftwaffe pilots with 100 hours plus on type. Here's a clue - lots of our young inexperienced pilots didn't come back. Neither would you. I've met John Romain. A fine gentleman and a very fine pilot.
Knight Defender of the Realm, Sir Guy! Goodonya Mate, you're a Bloody legend! How the beep did I not hear about a TWO SEAT Hurri?????!!!! I prefer the way you fly, it shows off the Hurri's most graceful lines..............all at once : ) ; )
MASSIVE RESPECT from Kiwiland.
Well I just learned something new today, I had no idea a 2 seater Hurricane even existed.
This Hurricane was a modern made two-seater, done so the public could get rides. Years ago, my father got a ride in a two-seater Mustang, which was originally a regular one place fighter. Apparently, the WWII radios were so big, that when they and the pilots seat armor are removed from most of that era's planes, there's enough room to squeeze in a second person.
This aircraft, 'Pegs' was owned by Peter Teichman, of Hangar 11. It's a very rare variant, a bomber. We were concerned when we heard what the new owners were doing with her, but it looks like they did a nice respectful job of the modification.
There is a TV programme called Warbird Workshop, where they document how they did it.
@@nevyen149 Its not new made its a conversion from a single seater
@@ChickenNugget-dk9hp Already said that, but ...um...thanks?
Imagine being a WWII veteran and seeing this outside.
Anna Walker once made a textbook crash landing in a Seafire and walked away unscathed. If you are planning a flight in a Spitfire make sure it is with Anna.
Hurricane. Love, love, love.
TAKA TAKA TAKA time!
When I remember that men as young as 19 scrambled to intercept during that battle it makes me wonder about how they were made, made from steel is how
Yay.........I had a Spitfire flight from Biggin Hill on May 1st; The great Anna was my pilot. I couldn’t believe my luck!
I didn't know a two seater hurricane existed it also looks better than the two seater spitfire
Totally agree, the 2 seat spit looks a total mess, completely ruined the graceful lines
@@badmutherfunster I completely agree same with the 109, the mustang pulls it of perfectly
Lekker Guy!!!
flood the cowling, plenty of it. as they said in the battle of Britain. - James May
I follow Guy since he was part of the TT .. followed him but sadly i couldn't see him when i was on the Ile of Man .. if you will ever come to italy Guy i would love to be your helping guy here in italy .. let me see..
I love the Hurricane!!!
I have used a CPAP for 17 years and have never had a single problem. I know many people, including my 2 daughters, that have absolutely no complaints. I have no idea why this guy puts out a video like this.
My great grandfather flew a Hurricane during the Battle of Britain (among many other planes). Unfortunately the British gov't didn't give foreign pilots like him much recognition in the celebrations just after the war ended. Very cool video.
Rest assured, the public, and especially we the enthusiasts, appreciate his service.
I am ex RAF. The RAF know all about the sacrifices made by non english pilots for the RAF and freedom during WW2. I salute your great grandfather..a brave man and a hero not just in my eyes but many.
Don't sell yourself or him short. Here im Australia, we were part of the few and know that the Polish and Czech' pilot's were some of the best... and that the few were from mwny corners of the globe :) My grandfather flew his 40 mission's in a Lancaster Mk1 as Navigator/ Bomnadier in 460 Sqdn.
Go on Guy, absolute leg-end 🥃🇬🇧
Lucky boy guy. Anyone else will cost you £2500 dog fight £4000. Biggin hill.
Flown a Spitfire, flown a Hurricane, Lancaster next? Guy.
Surely a Mossie?
He is at Duxford currently with the BBMF Lancaster.
Repeat please. [Polish accent]
Yes brought it from stealth tactical UK it's a osprey tactical molle vest.
Come on, they need to step up the production value!!! Get Guy more sponsors!!!!!!
I have a small rc Model of that exact hurricane
Fuel tank was in wing wow
wing and in front of your feet behind the engine
I do know there is a 2 seater Spitfire but I did not Know there is a 2 seater Hurricane .
A conversion from a single seater, the only one.
Blue side up Martin!
Have you seen the price to go up in it
The Hurricane won the Battle of Britain. Faster to re-arm, re-fuel, and replenish O2 than a Spit. Easier and faster to fix than a Spit. Stable reliable gun platform. More maneuverable than it is given credit for. If every RAF Squadron and Wing were Spitfires in 1940, they would have lost the Battle of Britain. Sir Sydney Camm was a genius.
correct
Didn't know there were any two seater Hurricanes.
It's a conversion from a single seater. The only one in the world, based at Biggin Hill.
@@andrewwaller5913 Watch Warbird Workshop if you get the chance, they document the conversion.
@@SJF15 Yes I watched it, very interesting. Will be at Biggin Hill next weekend to see it for real.
@@andrewwaller5913 I thought Biggin didn't have airshows any more.

I wanted to see the fight :(
Is there anything this guy hasn't done?
Damn I had no idea we had two seater hurricanes
oh reet boss
Wait.......a two seat hurricane??
You lucky lucky bastard 😂
A 109 with a Rolls-Royce power plant.
The guy is a legend but I hate the fact he called a Marathon, Snickers. :(
I find Cif still tastes just as good as Jif though.
Had to check that this comment was from only three years ago, and not thirty-four years.
Admittedly a thirty-four year old comment on a nineteen-year old social media platform would have been unlikely.
i dont liek it when they dont tell thats not actually a 109 but a liense built hispano with a very different engine and cowling.
Yeah but it's hard to hide it isn't it? If it hadn't been for the 1969 movie Battle of Britain I doubt many of us would even know it ever existed.
@@warrenchambers4819 it is indeed. still though might just be me.
@@CentennialMotoringServices was more talking about a technical perspective since this has a different engine from the original and that engine historically was quite important for aviation in terms of engineering. And since this is a pretty technical show you one could expect them to mention that. Might just be me being an airplane nerd.

ИНСТАГРАМ ЕСТЬ У НЕГО???
My grandfather flew Hurricanes in WW2, and in WW1 he flew Sopwith's. He was too young for WW1 but talked his way in. Survived! Later he was too old for WW2 but talked his way in. Survived! I don't know if many fighter pilots survived both wars.
My great uncle flew in both wars, loved it!!
Stop calling it a BF 109 it's a Casa 2000 or some such from Spain with a merlin engine.
Now nit pick done Lucky Bastard.
Hispano Buchon..
Sounds like she was flying the wrong plane
Love those leather helmets

I thought Guy was going to fly solo for a second.🥴
please stop passing off the Buchon for a BF109
That 109 wasnt a 109 tho

I wonder why they take these vintage planes and cut up and butcher them and make them dual control ? That is like taking a Hemi Cuda convertible and making a four door who is the stupid fuck that cuts these plans up and destroys them

Without the Hurricane, the English wouldn't have been able to defend the British Isles and make it available for Africa and Asia to colonise.
