The Type 26 could well be a world beater for UK naval designers the addition of Vulcano makes it even more lethal especially to on shore installations, excellent job guys
At $50 million each for a 127mm gun (and I don't even think that includes the automated ammunition handling system)? That's 1/5 of the budget for the Type 31 so that's not going to happen. And for the Type 45, if they had that kind of cash lying around, they'd finally get around to adding more VLS modules or something like that.
Us navy is planning on putting railguns on them which will be much cheaper and their the only destroyer capable of generating the power it’s that or the Gerald fort which is not meant to be a firepower projection platform just a heavily defended mobile air base and this shell can’t fit into the zumwalts guns it’s too small clocking in at 126mm the zumwalt has 2 155mm guns so you can’t use this shell even if you wanted to
In a power cut the gun would go down anyway as would all of the targeting systems, radar, sonar, propulsion, etc. Automated gun magazine or not, if a power cut happens the gun cant traverse and the whole ship is pretty much dead. In such a case you’re down to the 2 7.62 miniguns and 4 GPMG that’s going to be on these beautiful warships.
Si ma centra, la US Navy tramite un contratto ha unito il lavoro della BAE con la Leonardo per i test, vuol dire semplicemente che hanno fatto da giudice, forse hanno anche fatto modifiche.

They've changed so much from the communications company i worked dealing with special forces and radio outfitting for the navy just 15-20 years ago.
We should have this on our type 31s also, maybe even upgrade the type 45s aswell.

BAE System(UK) + Leonardo (Italy) good work...!!!!! If we work together the results will be great...!!!!!!
Amazing great for our type 26.
Could it reach Argentina's capital from off there cost ?
yes please
Maybe the US Navy should've looked for other sources for the Zumwalts guns ammunition
Yup, Zumwalt’s over $800K per round is ridiculously overpriced.
Not that easy.
dennytenny how is bae small it’s the 3rd largest on the planet

Sadly, this isn't possible- the AGS cannot fire traditional type rounds like this.
No sailors in the gun bay? What happens if there is a power cut ?
