id imagine it goes something like: find artist you really like. learn things from said artist to build personal library of chords/licks/runs/scales/whatever. then over time as you learn the sounds you ideally want to hear, you begin to branch off of those elements that made you like said artist, and then at that point you start to write and create little pieces. after some time of doing that, you develop a sense of where to go and how to piece things together from your head. so basically just practice a lot, have fun doing it, and learn parts from songs you like that are things you want to hear.
hello!! I've been loving your music for years and it would be so amazing if you could post more of your songs on Spotify! i even put my favorites in the dreamy piano playlist on my channel, i will singlehandedly bring up your monthly listeners i promise 😂
I don't know specifically why Tanuki doesn't upload much to Spotify, but I did a bit of research recently while looking into putting some music on Spotify. In order to put songs on Spotify, you need to find a publisher, and then you need to pay a fee to put your songs up, as well as sign away some of your rights to the songs. It's a hassle to upload things, which isn't really what small artists just sharing their stuff for fun want, especially when the returns are really tiny. That's at least why I don't put my stuff on Spotify
