heard this on the originals and i instantly fell in love with the flow and rhythm, even though it’s not the type of music i listen to, it hits different
raven soto of course but in general they do some captures when the singer really sings the song, sometimes they do it again without singing you're right. There I'm not sure it's only playback ;)
Just saw the Savages live tonight. In the past 8 months or so, I've see the Deftones, Incubus, Tool, and countless other acts and local KC bands. But this band has got me. The best live show I've seen since I can remember. I haven't been so excited about Rock and Roll music or a "new" band since I was in high school (over 12 years ago). If rock was ever dead, then to life they've brought it back. 4 people 4 instruments. No DJ, No synth, no choir, no brass, just pure rock and Roll.
This song does something to me and I can't explain it. It's at once heartbreaking, uplifting and endlessly mesmerising. I feel like this is going to be a great record.
"I understand the urgency of life" = a nice response to Morrissey's "They do not understand the urgency of life" in "Angel, Angel, Down We Go Together."
Fucking hell! The thing that grabbed me and crushed down hard was how that line "I adore life." was presented not as a statement, but as a goddamn challenge. A challenge both in the sense of "I adore life, and nothing you assholes do will change that" and in the explicit call to arms at the end for us to join her in that adoration. Fan-fucking-tastic. The very embodiment of Lydon's 'Anger is an energy' used for positive good.
You're absolutely right. This is a fucking challenge for the speaker and a hell of a call to all the dreamers in this world who are ready to embrace life in its pain, joy, misery and rebirth. This is life changing. This is like a big scream waiting to get out and becomes alive.
This is one of their best songs.. period! Where it might not have the immediate in-your-face impact as some of their earlier work, this song makes up for it in its ability to captivate with its strong dramatic ending.. it makes the silent moments even more profound. the song grew on me with every listen. This is Quality song writing and musical composition at its best. EXCELLENT WORK!
Where does her voice come from?! It's amazing, it feels like her voice is coming from everywhere but her body. Towards the end of the song, at 04:43... wow, what a unique singer, great attitude.
Such a "Nick Cave song". I adore the bass. So fucking intense. I saw you guys in Athens and it was like one of the most dynamic concerts ever. Keep going
Thank you The originals for introducing me to another band! Thought this was a guy's voice at first during the ep. She has great vocals! love the tone of the track and the video captivates me. Hope the whole album has a similar feel. Bout to dive in deep into it! ^____^ Can't stop listening to this song Gaaaaaaah!
This song made me cry today. I'm not in love with the chorus, but the ending is outstanding. I do not understand all the dislikes. Will one of you please explain this to me.
Best band around just now. Heard this song a few times live last year. It stood out from their excellent set. This Video does the song justice too. Brilliant!
This song is my current favorite. Camille has the intensity of Maynard's vintage Tool days. She's confident, chilling and sexy. Less playful and darker than PJ Harvey but with similar vocal range. The band is elegant and delivers deep introspection.... Best band in years.
One of the best music video I've ever seen in a long time. It's like a work from an auteur filmaker. The song sends chill to my spine. Jehnny probably can be an actress, the dynamic in her facial expression worked greatly in this cohesively constructed music video.
I adore the strength and beauty of these women. So pure and intimate and raw. And that bass tone....immaculate. Amps like deep fried butter. So excited to see them live in May!
yeah, this is just an epic song.. i forgot how amazing you gal's are you know. It's always nice coming back to something later on in life and it having a whole new meaning. remarkable singing as well, and just this stunning clip... clearly i just adore life, for moments like this its all worth it.
+Matt Ehm, I didn't like it. I thought it was too simple and too long gratuitously. But people usually like this kind of music, despite not being anything innovative, so I also don't understand the many dislikes. Maybe it's because some idiots don't like all women bands. I don't know.
***** nor does it need to. music can be familiar and just as enjoyable. to think that something has to be innovative or experimental to be good is an elitist ideal
Oh, finally! I was sure you make music video for that song! So powerful song! Very interesting idea of playing with shadows and band's shapes and lights; dark colour, four people in simple outfit, nothing excessive. And oh, that wild look in your eyes, Jehnny!
Not even kidding, My politics teacher brought me here, its always in his recommended videos when we watch something in class so i thought i would check it out
heard this on the originals and i instantly fell in love with the flow and rhythm, even though it’s not the type of music i listen to, it hits different
OMG me too! I heard it at the end of episode 17 season 3 and it took me FOREVER to find it. Glad I finally found it :)
Aurora - The Originals - Perfect Music
the singer is very intense when she sings, but her voice seems so calm, it is so strange, i like it
raven soto of course but in general they do some captures when the singer really sings the song, sometimes they do it again without singing you're right. There I'm not sure it's only playback ;)
she's french, she speaks english with the rythme of french speaking.
She's a unique flammingo
Everything about this song is amazing. Even the minimalist video is something to behold.

I like the constant bass going through the song. Its nice when a song focuses on the bass, I feel it sounds great in rock music
Loud
Wow what a great comment! Thank you ( :
Listen to Nick Cave
I agree!
I love how textured and heavy this sound is!! That distortion!!!
This song could go on forever. I wish I had seen them play it live and lasting 10 minutes of crescendo
Dare Me brought me here...Great song to end the season with!!!! Come on USA, give us a second season please!!!!!!
+Seeming So stretchy! I'm amazed your exaggerated relation didn't break! Nice job!
+Misael Perez Clearly influenced the sound and lyrics did Moz.
+Seeming same!
+Jamil Dillon just wanted to write that...
Seeming some people have got no pride...
The Originals brought me here. The show always features great artists.
Now is the time for Savages to put out a new album. They would blow up. Perfect time!!!

Indeed and in the same spirit their song "f*ckers" is amazing too.

3:18~3:21 Now that's going up on my list of the greatest moments in music video history. The imagery is just intense.
Where does her voice come from?! It's amazing, it feels like her voice is coming from everywhere but her body. Towards the end of the song, at 04:43... wow, what a unique singer, great attitude.
Heard this on Riverdale and I am so glad it was in the episode because this song is breathtakingly beautiful and needs to be heard by more.
Jenny Beth's haunting vocals! Timeless!
This song is pure gold, 1k people are closed minded, clearly.
The ending is masterpiece
Such a "Nick Cave song". I adore the bass. So fucking intense. I saw you guys in Athens and it was like one of the most dynamic concerts ever. Keep going
Honesty the bass makes their songs.
+Sonia Ptr I want to get into Nick's music, can you name me songs that sound like this?
+JakubW93 Thanks! Appreciated!
I'll say early "Birthday Party" and "Boys Next Door" -- Nick Cave before "The Bad Seeds" + Diamanda Galas + Ministry + Nine İnch Nails Bloody epic !!!
Was featured in Peaky Blinders (nick caves theme song) good call. Roundhouse was etheral
I just can't seem to get enough of this song! I'm sure I'm not alone here...
Thank you The originals for introducing me to another band! Thought this was a guy's voice at first during the ep. She has great vocals! love the tone of the track and the video captivates me. This song gave me feels

Josie Raymond funniest part is that she’s still alive😂😂
I feel like everyone came from the originals😂
Same 😁
i dont know why i want to listen to this song and watch the video over and over again..ugh! its a great song by the way..!
Proud moment that my 10 year old daughter already knows all of the words. My whole family cannot get enough of these ladies.
holy shit..... anything else that comes out as a single from anyone else, they need to step up because this is the song of 2016.
lol are u fucking joking?
The Impeccable
why would i joke about this band? with the exception of bowie, savages are likely to make a statement for 2016.
+The Impeccable Better than any song in your 'trucker meets frat' bass playlist lol. That was more depressing than this song.
+thevoid99 yeah......Bowie for me....
+thevoid99 nice, i see you have good taste
Best band around just now. Heard this song a few times live last year. It stood out from their excellent set. This Video does the song justice too. Brilliant!

Hey, you okay up there?
Recent discovery...really enjoying this!

about 20% of the votes are dislikes. why in the fuck? this song is glorious
+Matt They're clueless mate
+Matt Ehm, I didn't like it. I thought it was too simple and too long gratuitously. But people usually like this kind of music, despite not being anything innovative, so I also don't understand the many dislikes. Maybe it's because some idiots don't like all women bands. I don't know.
Edwin Montesinos innovation is not essential to music being good.
*****
nor does it need to. music can be familiar and just as enjoyable. to think that something has to be innovative or experimental to be good is an elitist ideal
